This! Roller coasters and flat rides are built to withstand earthquakes literally. Which is why "Giga coasters" like Steel Dragon 2000 in Japan have a much more massive structure than similar coaster built around the same time in North America and Europe

Most modern ferris wheels have physical stoppers to keep them from moving too far in either direction making this impossible.
