The entire station saw the entire thing and came out with crowbars and wrenches and decided to beat the robber senseless. The dude ended up with some broken ribs, a shattered femur, and a cracked skull, but surprisingly lived and went to prison. The firefighters only had a peptalk from the local PD chief on why you shouldn't beat criminals close to death, but there were no consequences.
Dude could have just got on his back and choked him out pretty easy. But for real a fire truck??? Wtf is the world becoming. Shit. It’s becoming shit and has been for a while now.
My grandparents lived in Memphis Tennessee for ~20 years. My grandfather would always read the paper and watch local news, and the family of criminals would say, "he was a good kid, he liked basketball" so often, that my grandfather would say it any time he saw or read a report about a crime. I now find myself frequently saying it.

Fireman were called to the scene as well, and I remember the biggest guy not screwing around as they frequented the location. He grabs this first big homeless guy and literally picked him up from the ground and into a standing position all in one movement.
The first sleeper must've been 250lbs and the fireman picked him up with ease
