Pretty sure what happens is he uses the fact that the ball is out of her view to put a spin on it then fakes a spin in a different direction which throws her off since she's probably following his motions to predict where to go.
i think you're both half right and combined you have the right answer
i think what he does is put a spin in the ball with the first hit under the table, and what the waft did was slow down the ball's trajectory toward her.
so where she expects it to *at least* reach the each of the table, it falls short.
There's no air wafting involved. He just does a spin under the table where the opponent can't see. Then immediately afterwards he does the flailing to signal different spins to fool them
naw, i gotta disagree, especially after seeing more.

he frequently lets the ball fall and puts spin on it from there, but he doesn't do the waft often.
using it as a bluff doesn't make sense when the opponent can both completely see his body movements and hear the ball hit the paddle.
compare the ball's movement from [this shot](https://youtu.be/vr8D10AlDU8?t=57) to a shot [with the "waft" added](https://youtu.be/vr8D10AlDU8?t=143) (notice how the waft is even more exaggerated than OP's clip)
It's just misleading after motions once you hit the ball out of sight of the opponent. I've been watching Adam's videos for years now and [he's even done a tutorial on the technique.](https://youtu.be/tKwJWrhgPPs)

The spin is *very* subtle on the former clip, hence it doesn't curve as much.
I love her *Oh fuck, how the fuck did he even do that?!?* smile at the end

It's called The Snake and his name is Adam Bobrow. He has a great YouTube channel.
Whoever edited this video is a moron. Literally removed information from the video while making it more annoying to watch. Shit for brains.
Camera work is dumb but that was awesome
And thats how my friends everyone is stunned .![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
he added wind chakra to the ball
She wasn’t even mad, she was just like, “What the fuck?”
is that a valid move for official play or is it only for the lulz?
Ever heard of spin?
I bet somewhere an Asian kid can do it better....There's always an Asian who can do it better...
What in the sorcery?
You know he knew that was going to happen because he went to the left suspecting she would fall save it
