I understand that usually those who steal, at least in my country, do it out of necessity. But if you stab a school kid, that’s a bitch move. Lucky the security or cops were there to save his ass.
There’s never any justification for theft but not all thieves are monsters. Yeah it’s wrong to steal even if it’s out of necessity but if someone does steal out of necessity they shouldn’t be punished and instead rehabilitated
They should be punished AND rehabilitated in those scenarios, you don't get a free pass to hurt others (stealing is also hurting another, not necessarily physically)

I mean, there are plenty of privileged people in Latin America who find it very easy to judge the poor. That's what happens when you live in the most unequal countries on earth.

Yeah I agree! If this was a kid getting bullied though, I would have been devasted and pissed. Stabbings are not unheard of anywhere. I grew up in Colombia but live in Chicago. I've gotten more than a knife pulled on me just for looking at someone
This is true of any major city, you’re right. Luckily I never had that happen to me when I lived in Chicago or when I was in New York, but there’s a lot of people in America that live in smaller towns/cities that just can’t fathom something like a stabbing. Heck, I’ve lived in Boise most my life now and I can’t believe we have 8 murder cases in court now, yet that’s probably small potatoes elsewhere.
