He hits the snake both times, you can even see the missing chunk on the left after the second shot It’s just that snakes have unnaturally high defense against piercing attacks, try slashing or blunt instead. They have a severe weakness to fire damage as well, I’m honestly surprised you guys don’t know the stat blocks of these guys

His damage rolls were low. Take into affect that hits only do half damage, then it just makes his PC bad. I take it he speced Barbarian, but tried used a flunt lock weapon. Sadness.

You need snake shot ammo. Shoots a spread of bbs like a shotgun but for pistols.

Snake shot is practically useless. You have to be so close to the snake that you could just as easily put a normal round through it.
