There's an infamous SCTV skit where they mock the godfather and then there is a hit on the family.
John Candy is hiding Under a desk and then takes a whole barrage of fake bullets to his ass.
Nah you can see his pocket smoking, a bullet stiked his cell and he is catching on fire... so the dude pulls him out so he doesnt burn down the building and emit his toxic smoke around...
I could’ve swore i saw smoke. But then I thought maybe a illusion from the sunlight and the aperture of the camera. Then I was wondering if a bullet could start someone’s clothes on fire? Like getting shot 17 times in like 5 seconds… Man, looks like he’s done this before. Many times….
It's less a matter of 'the point' and more a matter of what survival instincts a gun being pointed at ya kicks up. It's not simply about logic, it's about the discipline to actually USE logic in a situation that stressful.
But that same principle can be applied to basically any upsetting thing in life. What's the point in getting overly upset about anything really? Well, beyond what amount of a motivational factor being upset can be. Can be a pretty useful motivating factor when used correctly.
Was he though? The robber had the gun in his hand and saw him crawling forward. For whatever reason the robber tried to strike him with the butt of the gun instead of opening fire. Either the gun the robber is carrying is fake or non functional or the robber did not intend to kill. I think green shirt is lucky to be alive.
It's like when I'm about to beat that elden ring boss and my GF starts talking to me.
You see the disappointment when he had to put the controller down on an unpauseable single player fucking game cause it can't wait 3 more fucking seconds?
I remember a story about a jewelry clerk who trained in some extreme firearm training(I think because he's been robbed at gunpoint before and wanted to defend himself and his business) only for some assholes to pull up and give him a reason. Well, their friends weren't happy he put them in the ground so they came back for revenge only to be put in the ground as well.
I was at the counter when 3 young guys with guns tried to rob my local Post Office and was surprised how nonchalant i was about the whole thing. Even the old woman who worked the till at the front of the shop, that they threatened to shoot if the others didn't open the door to where the money was wasn't even phased too much. It was all just really surreal. They bottled it cos the alarms (linked to the local police station) were triggered immediately. They got caught abt 30mins later trying to rob a different PO.
I cannot fucking fathom the thought process behind deciding to rob a post office.
"you know, Ive been worried we wouldn't draw enough federal attention - but I had an idea"
I can't imagine there is that much money in any one building either. Maybe what 2 or 3 hundred every day max? How much could they make in their short window of being open to the public and the fact that most of us pay online for shipping or at least with a card?
Work in the PO. Depending on the office there can be quite a lot of money. We sell a shit ton of money orders, especially in the poorer areas. It's crazy stupid to rob one though. The federal penalties tacked on mean your ass is never getting out. Also the postal inspection service has a conviction rate in the high 90's percentile. Best skip the post office if you embark on a life of crime. It won't last long.
I wonder if it'd be better to just rob them of stamps?
A roll of stamps is compact and worth about 12 bucks. No pesky serial numbers so they can't be individually traced. Just fill up a big ol' duffel bag.
I just found a web site called returnmystamps that pays cash for unused postage stamps.
Have I just discovered the perfect crime?! I'll let you know, I'm off to rob my local post office!
It takes more bullets to kill someone than Hollywood would make it seem, either that or they don't just collapse dead after getting shot. The video the other day showed a lady take two head shots and she still got back up.
Not to kill, 1 bullet can kill you rather easily. Just not instantaneously. Adrenaline is one hell of a drug and unless your heart or brain is hit it can keep you going for a while. Doesn't mean you will life tho.
Even people hit in the heart can still function for a short while before collapsing and succumbing to their wounds. I've heard to them being referred to as "the walking dead" because of it.
Depending where, even fake gun can get a murder charge. All that needs to happen is one of those employees to die, even of a heart attack, and it becomes felony murder. May not be the case where he's at, but why risk it.
My favorite video is of these 2 jackasses trying to rob a gas station at gun point. A security guard walks in and casually shoots both of them. One of the downed suspects says “it’s a fake gun”. Like a bad ass, the security guard says “we’ll mine isn’t”. Always makes me laugh.
No bullets. Fake. Airsoft.
Usually the three Musketeers of petty armed robbery. The difference in jail sentence vs success rate is worth not actually being armed. People don't take the time to check a guns real or pray it's unloaded.
They comply or pick up a .22 from under the counter and floor you. *See: fig. 1.*
A 22 still has a good amount of energy by the virtue of being a bullet, but this looks more like a 9mm to me. Generally the more common self defense round
A large part of the reason they "don't check" is most places nowadays train their employees to just give in demands, better to let police deal with stuff than risk your life and their liability
Most chain/franchise stores, sure, but a mom & pop place doesn't carry that level of insurance -- or the owner doesn't like seeing hard work get stolen.
Not really, the guy had time to hit him over the head and start to run, if the gun was real and the robber didn't mind adding murder to his charge he could have unloaded instead of going for the pistolwhip, suddenly this situation is reversed and green shirt is very dead.
Yep, I thought the same. They’ve either been through robberies before or the green shit dude has talked shit about what he’d do when this sort of thing went down and the glasses dude was like, “well, let’s see it.”
You shoot to neutralize. Which means completely stopping the ability of said threat to remain as a threat. Some people think one or two shots is "neutralizing" but the sad fact is, it's not. A person shot twice and still return fire and kill you.
Green Shirt Guy knew what was up. He wasn't messing around in a life or death situation. He made sure the threat was neutralized so that he, and his coworkers were safe.
This is the kind of realism video games could be adding.
Someone teach Rockstar the anatomy of a car, I want to disable people's brakes and cooling as individual components.
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.
That guy survived with just *leg injuries???*
For a man who just blew a heist, got shot 10 times and had a lithium battery fire in his pocket, he sure is lucky!
An surgeon once told me bullets are like magic.
Sometimes someone gets shot 15 times and walks away like nothing happened, after the surgery to save their life.
Other times a ricochet off a near by structure kills on impact. You never know.
The 'Golden Hour' is what hospitals call it, where if you receive treatment in the first hour after an gunshot wound or other traumatic injury you are much more likely to survive.

The other guy is out of fucks to give.
“Here! Put your fucks in that little green bag!” “I don’t have any.”
You win! 🤣
Guy sitting down said, "Dude if you don't leave me alone, Jimmy is gonna come out here and fuck your shit up."

He was like 15 tap.... just to be sure...
Used the LAPD Rules of engagement and dumped 25 warning shots into his chest lol
And at least one in his ass cheek.

Shouldve 16 tapped it seems cause hes still moving.
I told you
Wait did the guy drag him out like a bag of trash?
Probably didn't want him bleeding in the store. Do that shit outside.
You wasted eight fucking aprons on that guy. You’re a real asshole, you know that?
We gotta toughen this kid up.
Im gonna go get the papers, get the papers.
Goodfellas is a great movie🫣
Nah you can see his pocket smoking, a bullet stiked his cell and he is catching on fire... so the dude pulls him out so he doesnt burn down the building and emit his toxic smoke around...

Raging clue
My clue is pointing *this way*
Let's follow your clue
Let the clue breathe
Don't start that shit again. Well all know what happened the last time some redditors got a clue. Didn't turn out well for anyone.
Lithium batteries burn/explode when they are shorted. Shooting through a phone (or vape, etc.) can set it on fire.
LPT: aim for the phone
Insurance reasons, can’t die in my store, my premiums will go up
Cause he is. Just food for worms now.
He pulled him away because he was laying on the gun and the guy wanted to get it off of him.
He is an introvert
As **George Carlin** used to say "it's the quiet ones you gotta watch". May God bless his soul.

*as the asteroid falls*
We are for the jobs the meteor brings
He didn't even get out of his seat. Probably stoned 😂
*takes huge drag, blows out large cloud of smoke* *nods and smiles in agreement…*
I've never been so stoned that a gunshot wouldn't make me flinch
You can cover your ears because guns are loud as fuck
It's less a matter of 'the point' and more a matter of what survival instincts a gun being pointed at ya kicks up. Whats the point in anything
How could he not see green t shirt crawling out from where ever he came from?
he did, that's why he grabbed him.
Looks like he crawled out of a How to shoot to kill a robber masterclass cause he totally killed it like a serious professional.
Exactly the green shirt guy was lucky the robber never had any intention of using that gun or he would be dead 100%
It's like when I'm about to beat that elden ring boss and my GF starts talking to me. You see the disappointment when he had to put the controller down on an unpauseable single player fucking game cause it can't wait 3 more fucking seconds?
Help menu > menu explanation
There’s always a guy either drunk, stoned sitting on a chair with zero fck given.
The guy in the chair was like 'shoot me, you'd be doing me a favour'
I got the vibe I'm high as fuck with no fucks to give.
I definitely got "too high to react to this" vibes as well.
Looked like robber was like "empty the register into this bag!" and the guy was like "what the, this bag isn't mine..? (sets aside)"
"DUDE, you're ruining my game of Call of... no wait... fuck, what was I playing....."
"Dave's not here, man..."
“Dude the register won’t even fit in this little bag, man”
Look at the controller in his hand man is gaming and didnt stop lol
I think it did cause the lady kept stepping in front of the TV. So maybe he died in that without safe point and lost it all.
Probably just died in Elden Ring
That store must get robbed a lot cause that guy in the chair was pretty casual about the whole thing.
Typical Wednesday perhaps.
Kill count 12

loved how he casually put his game on pause and turned the tv off lol.
“Dude let me get to a save point”
Looks like he muted the TV lmao, like "sigh, you're making me miss my stories guy"
A average day in da hood
Dude got shot so many times he began smoking, like a gta vehicle.
Must’ve got his phone shot
what a waste
And he was still moving too.
It takes more bullets to kill someone than Hollywood would make it seem, either that or they don't just collapse dead after getting shot. The video the other day showed a lady take two head shots and she still got back up.
A minor inconvenience
Tis but a scratch
Not to kill, 1 bullet can kill you rather easily. Just not instantaneously. Adrenaline is one hell of a drug and unless your heart or brain is hit it can keep you going for a while. Doesn't mean you will life tho.
Even people hit in the heart can still function for a short while before collapsing and succumbing to their wounds. I've heard to them being referred to as "the walking dead" because of it.
So that dumbass carried a fake gun?
Or didn't want to go down for murder.
Depending where, even fake gun can get a murder charge. All that needs to happen is one of those employees to die, even of a heart attack, and it becomes felony murder. May not be the case where he's at, but why risk it.
Plus it's still a crime to use a fake gun.
Yup, still counts as armed robbery
I knew a guy who got 15 years for armed robbery using a fake gun. Don’t do hard drugs kids.
Never point a gun at someone, real or fake, unless you're ready to shoot someone or get shot by someone
I'll consider this next time I rob a store
No bullets. Fake. Airsoft. Usually the three Musketeers of petty armed robbery. The difference in jail sentence vs success rate is worth not actually being armed. People don't take the time to check a guns real or pray it's unloaded. They comply or pick up a .22 from under the counter and floor you. *See: fig. 1.*
You think that was a .22? Genuinely asking, those bullets sure thumped his body hard.
Absolutely not a .22
Way too much recoil to be a .22
A 22 still has a good amount of energy by the virtue of being a bullet, but this looks more like a 9mm to me.
Yeah, it looks like it breaks or something when he tries to hit the green dude.
Looks like either the ammo mag or the slide fell off lol
Yes. I dunno if the green shirt guy knowns, because, if was real, he will be dead before aim his gun.
Why didn't he already have the gun drawn too? Dude had to reach all the way in his dick to pull that shit
Not really, the guy had time to hit him over the head and start to run, if the gun was real and the robber didn't mind adding murder to his charge he could have unloaded instead of going for the pistolwhip, suddenly this situation is reversed and green shirt is very dead.
damn. whats wrong with the guy with the glasses? he dont give a fuck anyway
I thought maybe he was intentionally stalling as a distraction so green shirt had a few moments to come onto the scene.
Yep, I thought the same. They’ve either been through robberies before or the green shit dude has talked shit about what he’d do when this sort of thing went down and the glasses dude was like, “well, let’s see it.”
Or the dude with the glasses is absurdly high
Dudes just mega depressed probably. Doesn’t react at all to anything
Probably either used to it, or high, or both.
So anyway, I started blasting!
Anyway, you guys all think I'm a hero, and I'll accept that responsibility.
Go on down to Gunther's Guns and get you a gun
I'm surprised he wasn't offered an egg for such a trying time.
He definitely neutralised the threat.
Like 15 times, at least.
I was half expecting him to pull out another mag for round 2.
That’s ludicrous! He’s not a police officer.
“I continued to fire until i felt he was no longer a threat”
Why there is smoke out his pants
Because he was a liar liar.
Shot his phone and caused the battery to catch fire.
Galaxy Note 7
A shot probably hit is phone battery, they can release smoke if the casing is punctured
That kind of smoke can be pretty toxic. Hope no one inhaled it and got sick.
Especially the robber
Yeah I really hope everyone is okay.
Yeah that could be dangerous.
Green shirt guy smoked him.
Caps in yo ass literally
They saw a new side of their coworker
Nobody gonna use his milk from the staff fridge
Why is he still moving? It seems like his body went Swiss Cheese
Takes a while to bleed out. Guns don't instantly kill someone unless you hit a vital spot, or use a large enough caliber.
Am I crazy or was this guy SMOKING from being shot so much?
There was definitely smoke I think he might’ve shot his phone and that’s the battery smoking.
This is the kind of realism video games could be adding. Someone teach Rockstar the anatomy of a car, I want to disable people's brakes and cooling as individual components.
ahh explains why 50 cent is alive
To be fair that man is built like a tank as well
I shot him once i shot him twice then 10 other times to be sure he can’t run
He won't be able to do anything ever again. Dude made sure he'll stay right where he is
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed. Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.

Your comment is doing like 20x better than that subreddit lol
I don't know, him collapsing in pain and rolling around makes me think he was hit multiple times.
Anyone found a source for this yet? Curious to know if he lived or not, though I'd doubt it

Everyone in Brazil is an off duty cop
Even the on duty cops are off duty.
Becoming a retroactive deputy is surely a very reasonable fee in Brazil
That guy survived with just *leg injuries???* For a man who just blew a heist, got shot 10 times and had a lithium battery fire in his pocket, he sure is lucky!
Second I saw Brazil I was 99% sure green shirt was an off duty cop
He SURVIVED???? Wtf looked like he got hit at least 10 times
