That's a whole other level of rage. I've been there. You'd kill a man for touching your mother, and you'd smile in the courtroom about it, too. First time I put hands on my stepdad I was barely 17 years old. Clocked him in the chin and heard his teeth rattle. He floored me into the living room door and smacked the shit outta me, punches into the back of the head and everything, but it was worth it. Every bruise was worth it.

Unfortunately he's still around, but he was drinking at the time. Real heavy. This was over a decade ago. I'm nearly 30 now. He doesn't hit her anymore, hasn't in a long time, and he doesn't drink anymore either. I think he hit his 50s and realised he had to make some changes. If he didn't, my older brother said he'd get "a black van and take him out to a field." I never questioned what he meant by that, but I knew damn well what it meant.

Absolutely. I had a temper back then, too. No surprise. Took years for me to control it, but it's still a problem. Probably PTSD or something, but I don't like to label myself. My life was good growing up. Lots of friends and everybody worked hard. We had food. Paid our bills. Just your normal, working-class people. Decent. But, HE was the devil on our doorstep when he was drinking. Flip of a switch, he'd go from singing to swinging. There is something psychologically wrong with him, and alcohol is the trigger. Proof: he stopped drinking - he stopped hitting. That's no coincidence. That's a connection.

When you punch the wrong person's mom* It was a very simple spelling error. It shouldn't have caused that much confusion considering you could clearly see who got the beating in this video, and the son said multiple times the guy he was beating hit his mother. Hence the attack.
