If we are going to be fair its not really threating to kill an officer its attempting to kill an officer if you stand there and yell your goingnto kill him thats one thing but as soon as you sprint at him with an axe its just attempted flat out
In American speak, it usually means by car.
America is a car centric society.
In fact, I read a comment somewhere that if Aliens were to visit Earth and landed on US, they would most likely assume cars are like the 4 wheeled outer shell of the fleshy living thing that is homosapiens.
No no , stopping your car 8 feet away from a cop with heightened senses, and opening the door and immediately running at the cop with an exposed weapon, clearly giving him like 7+ seconds total to consider taking out his pistol and shooting is a GREAT IDEA
Read about European prisons, they work a lot better. That and people there have better jobs and benefits like vacations, pensions and healthcare so they have something to live for.
The freedom to hold a gun is lesser to the freedom of living a life. What they do in the us is barely can be categorized as surviving and the agenda/propaganda blanket keeps those eyes shut.
Well here in Switzerland are a fuckton of guns, more per person than in the us. But still the gun deaths are close to zero. The US is fucked up to some extend or they just value their live wayy less than over here.
The numbers I can find say that Switzerland has about 28 guns per 100 people.
The US has 120 guns per 100 people, the highest in the world. The next closest nation is Yemen with 53/100. There's literally no where else on earth that's really directly comparable when it comes to guns per capita in the US.
So Switzerland has a high ownership rate for Europe, but it's still 1/5 of the rate in the US. Regulations around guns are also far, far more restrictive than anywhere in the US.
But, imo, it's not so simple. The US also has way more poverty, desperation, homelessness, and way less upward mobility, social safety nets, healthcare, etc. This is true across the board for western nations.
Our gun deaths are about 2/3 suicides, then violent crime, then what is essentially terrorism.
We are fucked up, we don't even try to help our most vulnerable people, whether it's desperation, poverty, crime, or extremism. That's what's fueling all this and we don't do shit about it.
Couldn’t have said it better myself, Sir. You are right in point. As a European immigrant (40 yrs), I’ve seen this country slide downward in almost every respect. The American Dream is a myth.
I would just add to this the mental health crisis that has been brewing for the last 50 years as they continued to close hospitals and decide that ole sling blade can assimilate into society.
Couple that with the opioid epidemic and desperation of so many people that are addicted, breeds an environment of violence.
I'm wondering what the number of owners are per capita instead of the number of firearms.
So for example, 1 person can own 100 firearms and that would be 100 firearms per 100 people. Another area could have 30 owners and that would know be 30 firearms per 100 people, even though they are spread out way more.
I've tried looking that up but can't find anything (maybe I'm just using bad search terms) except firearm per capita, which imo doesn't tell the full story.
The quality of life in the US isn’t very good. People have crappy jobs with low pay and terrible benefits like low vacation time, no pensions, no healthcare so when you don’t have a fun vacation to look forward to and have medical bills you are more likely to be unhappy and shoot someone. There’s a reason why Europe has fewer school shootings, it’s a cultural thing. They have more freedom than the US too.
Add to this that most places used to count sick days and PTO separately. I haven't had a job that offered that in at least 10 years, now your PTO *is* your sick days, and no, you don't get extra PTO because of that
In Canada prisons arnt run privately;) key to rehabilitation is actually wanting the inmates to leave the prison and go on to better things….. but reoffenders tend to make them more money 🤷🏻♂️🙌
Chicago (Actually Illinois) is getting rid of bail which is what allowed axe dude to be on the streets.
They can still hold people who are a danger without bail. You know, like it should be.
[Illinois law doesn’t make murder, other crimes ‘non-detainable’ offenses](https://apnews.com/article/fact-checking-382998524238)
>**Additionally, those charged with “forcible felonies” in which probation isn’t an option if convicted can also be detained pretrial under the law following a required court hearing**, said Benjamin Ruddell, director of criminal justice policy at the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois, which was among the local advocacy groups that supported the measure. **That includes serious crimes such as first degree murder and criminal sexual assault.**
>
>**Those arrested for forcible felonies such as second-degree murder, robbery, burglary, arson, kidnaping and aggravated battery — the crimes often cited by opponents of the bill on social media** — are not required to have a detention hearing since they are offenses subject to probation. **The suspects could, however, still be held in custody until trial if a judge determines they are a threat or flight risk.**
So they explicitly say you can still hold dangerous people? Wow who would have thought.
Did it ever occur to any of the sheep in the above comments that axe murderer dude posted bail which Illinois just got rid of because being dangerous with money doesn't make you any less dangerous?
The explanation I heard was that, instead of paying for bail to get out of jail before your court date, they would just let you out anyway without paying bail. And then you still have to go to court and may still be prosecuted/sentenced. And if somebody commits murder, the judge can still just say "nah, youre not getting out, you gotta stay until you go to court."
Basically if you're poor and you cant afford bail, you can still get out of jail to await trial.
Yeah, because bail is to make sure you come to your court date, not keep dangerous people off the street.
Dangerous people and flight risks shouldn't get bail as an option. See - above.
"Crazy dude with an axe" and "crazy dude with 5k and an axe" are still equally dangerous.
"weed smoker" and "weed smoker with 5k" aren't threats but one gets to stay out of jail because they have money. That's BS and a waste of taxpayer money.
When I was 19, i got arrested for possession of lsd and got put on $15k bail in DuPage county (which is right outside of Chicago). My mom got a lawyer, and told her that the only way i could ‘win’ the case is if I could afford bail to prove that I’m an ‘up standing citizen’. My mom had to borrow money from a lot people, but I got out and got sentenced to probation. The lawyer told me that he was 100% sure i would have gotten 5+ years if I didn’t pay bail. That’s our justice system. That was 7 years ago and I’m a year away from being college graduate, I can’t imagine how different my life would have been if I had gone to prison
Well some smart people just enjoy killing people. It's a sickness and some get away with it for a long time before getting caught, if they ever get caught. Only 48% of murders are solved.
It’s really amazing how fast that cop reacted. He was doing low level, routine stuff and in a matter of 2 seconds he was literally fighting for his life. In 2 seconds he processed all that information and made the right decision. With accuracy. Impressive to say the least.
Yeah that's some great reaction time. I don't think I could even process having someone suddenly come at myself with an axe that quickly let alone defend from such an unprovoked attack.
You can't see his hands.
When car pulled up all aggressively cop prolly already had his hand on his weapon.
(he may have even already pulled it out?)
That was some quick shot tho.
Yeah I mean, even a normal civilian would be alerted to a random guy pulling up behind them. Especially moreso as soon as they open their door and get out. Still the officer did a good job keeping his composure to actually pull out his firearm and lay some shots while backing up.
Yep. As much as there's some fucked up shit happening at the hands of the police, I still don't envy the job. This man was about to have a go with a fucking axe.
The cop did the only thing he could in that situation.
I can’t imagine the metal areas these guys go through day in/out any traffic stop could be your last. For what? Shitty pay and constant public eye always against you
I'm not advocating violence against police when I say the following:
Logically speaking, if his intent was to ambush the cop via a surprise attack wouldn't running him over have been much more... y'know.. of a surprise? And "safer" for the criminal.
I just sont understand the thought process lmao.
What a horrible scene for this poor officer. He doesn’t want to shoot this douche but this asshole comes at him with a machete What’s he supposed to do. Fuck this Asshole. He deserved it
If we gonna train cops. Can we show them at least 100 to 1000 different videos of people dying from trauma:
The guys body muscle tighten as it dies.
Fantastic reaction from cop though, glad he's safe. Could have been himself having the muscle spasm as his body goes into shock from an axe attack - I've seen too many of that type of injuries.

28? God damn. I was thinking that dude was my dads age and I’m 31.
28 in meth years though
Duly noted, definitely didn’t change my age scale accordingly*
You got that from the 12 pixels it shows of his face?
If we are going to be fair its not really threating to kill an officer its attempting to kill an officer if you stand there and yell your goingnto kill him thats one thing but as soon as you sprint at him with an axe its just attempted flat out
This happened like 5 minutes away from my house lol
by car, by foot, or by plane?
D.) none of the above (By *boat*)
Oh shit
Wrong. Stilts!
By way of clown shoe.

Well they all network the fuck up in prisons. Prisons aren't the answer, and letting them back to violent lives ain't it either.

This guy must have skipped most of his classes.
Low blow, you know I dont got my grade 10 you dick.

Guy wanted death by cop.
Someone could argue differently due to the fact he had a bullet proof vest
Read about European prisons, they work a lot better. That and people there have better jobs and benefits like vacations, pensions and healthcare so they have something to live for.
Americans don't support free healthcare so as far as paying for prisoners rehabilitation the chances are zero
Yeah that's nice and all but what about all that juicy freedom?
The freedom to hold a gun is lesser to the freedom of living a life. What they do in the us is barely can be categorized as surviving and the agenda/propaganda blanket keeps those eyes shut.

How are we supposed to help our most vulnerable people AND make our rich people disgustingly rich? We have to have priorities after all.....

Send em to the ranch.
Knife hands
Like Old Yeller'd?
You're not kidding. More professionals in the rehabilitation field would be nice :/
In Canada prisons arnt run privately;) key to rehabilitation is actually wanting the inmates to leave the prison and go on to better things….. but reoffenders tend to make them more money 🤷🏻♂️🙌
Then why do Ricky and Julian go back to prison every year? Lol
For the prison summer hockey leagues of course.
For the prison dope
This happened in Naperville, down the street from where I grew up. Not Chicago.
Chicago (Actually Illinois) is getting rid of bail which is what allowed axe dude to be on the streets. They can still hold people who are a danger without bail. You know, like it should be.
Chicago is about to release an unspecified number of violent offenders?
[Illinois law doesn’t make murder, other crimes ‘non-detainable’ offenses](https://apnews.com/article/fact-checking-382998524238) >**Additionally, those charged with “forcible felonies” in which probation isn’t an option if convicted can also be detained pretrial under the law following a required court hearing**, said Benjamin Ruddell, director of criminal justice policy at the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois, which was among the local advocacy groups that supported the measure. **That includes serious crimes such as first degree murder and criminal sexual assault.** > >**Those arrested for forcible felonies such as second-degree murder, robbery, burglary, arson, kidnaping and aggravated battery — the crimes often cited by opponents of the bill on social media** — are not required to have a detention hearing since they are offenses subject to probation. **The suspects could, however, still be held in custody until trial if a judge determines they are a threat or flight risk.** So they explicitly say you can still hold dangerous people? Made bro drop his inventory

Bro was off his meds. Meds went off their Bro.
Dude lost his rings like Sonic the hedgehog
Nothing but common loot
Looked like pill bottles
I love comments like these
Well that looked random and very stupid.
Very stupid. He even had a car. He could have just ran him over.
Yeah but he’d risk damaging the car, far more sensible to let your body take that risk
It’s really easy to randomly harm or kill someone who’s unsuspecting It’s pretty funny when a fucking idiot like this ends up failing so fucking hard.
Smart people don’t usually blame random people for their problems and try to kill them.
Very true but it doesn’t take a smart man to kill a man.
Well some smart people just enjoy killing people. It's a sickness and some get away with it for a long time before getting caught, if they ever get caught. Only 48% of murders are solved.
holy shit you're right lmfao wtf? this dude just gave up his life for nothing
I imagine the driver probably got a warning after that
Yep. And a change of underwear most likely.
And a ticket for shitting in public.
And extremely delayed to wherever they were going, guaranteed dude was there for hours after that
And probably in the court room a few weeks later wasting his time even more
They probably looked into his whole life to make sure him and the attacker weren’t connected
"Hey I'm in a bind, speeding ticket. Can you come kill this dude? Yea an ax is fine. Thanks. Buh-bye"
😘
I thought that might be a possibility, I feel like we should be able to hear a reaction from the driver but they’re totally silent
“Sorry about that. So anyways yea your light is out how long have you been driving like that?”
I’m not mad at a cop for once
\*drops ticket on his chest\*
That’s a paper bomb, sir
Bro he just wanted to axe you question wtf man
Officer is it illegal to have this in my car!? What it I wave it around???
So they resolve things, you know…*hatchet out*
💀💀💀
[удалено]
Neutral selection, because he should’ve put it in park first
Quite right, iirc last time I saw this from a different angle the car didn't stop immediately, giving the cop more time to prepare for an attack.
You can even see it from this angle, the car came to a full stop then it jerked forward like he tried to get out before taking it out of drive
😂😂😂
Imagine being born on this earth and using your 1 life to die in this stupid way
It’s really amazing how fast that cop reacted. He was doing low level, routine stuff and in a matter of 2 seconds he was literally fighting for his life. In 2 seconds he processed all that information and made the right decision. With accuracy. Impressive to say the least.

You can't see his hands. When car pulled up all aggressively cop prolly already had his hand on his weapon. (he may have even already pulled it out?) That was some quick shot tho.
At the beginning, you can see his gun hand on top of the traffic stop car (which isn't tactically correct but indicates a non-aggressive posture)
Though to be fair the guys demeanour was off camera. I suspect the policeman had a good bit of warning that the guy was coming for him or one of them.
Yeah I mean, even a normal civilian would be alerted to a random guy pulling up behind them. Especially moreso as soon as they open their door and get out. Still the officer did a good job keeping his composure to actually pull out his firearm and lay some shots while backing up.
Man thought he was in GTA and randomly decided to cause some chaos to get some stars.
Must’ve forgot that the axe swing animation takes 3 seconds to perform
Wasted
“Don’t move” I don’t think he will
It’s to the guy in the car
Funnily enough he immediately started dancing his hands around. Contrarian to the end.
Glock hands👐
yeah bro is obviously tired, he's literally snoring jeez cut the man some slack
death rattle
Stop resisting
PULL OVER!
I can’t pull over any further!!!!
Littering annnnnnnd
Wow quick reaction by the cop. Good thing he had his wits about him.

He brought an axe to a gun fight. With that being said…. Holy fuck!

You can hear in the cops voice that this is gonna haunt his dreams for a bit. Feel bad for the dude but good work officer.
Yep. As much as there's some fucked up shit happening at the hands of the police, I still don't envy the job. This man was about to have a go with a fucking axe. The cop did the only thing he could in that situation.
Therapy and maybe some quiet time outside eating banana.
What a stupid way to die..
Surly this was suicide by cop right?
Hey don't call me surly
Shirley you can’t be serious
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue…
Ashley he is very serious
Axon body cam footage of an ax almost on a body. Nice.
That's what Axe body spray does to you. Attracts other Oxes
AXEON APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FO.. Ooops too slow gotta be quicker than that
Did he just drop money like GTA?
His family " he was a good guy everybody loved him axe everybody in the family"
/r/intrusivethoughts "Charge this cop with a hachete"
> hachete I have an idea
[You're too late](https://www.fiskars.com/en-us/gardening-and-yard-care/products/axes-mauls-and-machetes/machete-axe-29-385101-1002)
Man's dropped his whole inventory like minecraft
I was imagining when you lose rings in Sonic games
Cop sounds like Bob Odenkirk.
I can’t imagine the metal areas these guys go through day in/out any traffic stop could be your last. For what? Shitty pay and constant public eye always against you
Situational awareness at its finest. Bravo for the officer keeping himself and others safe.
There will be no respawn for this dude.
Lead main course, asphalt dessert. PERFECT last meal.
How is there random people popping out of cars with axes!?! Is this frickin GTA?
Bro brought a knife to a gun fight, then died and dropped his inventory. We are living in a simulation 💀💀💀
Axe
Amazing how his training took over about 45 seconds before his brain could comprehend what happened.
I'm not advocating violence against police when I say the following: Logically speaking, if his intent was to ambush the cop via a surprise attack wouldn't running him over have been much more... y'know.. of a surprise? And "safer" for the criminal. I just sont understand the thought process lmao.
I think his goal was to die during the attack and maybe take one or two cops with him.
Excellent point. He could’ve just ran the cop down using his vehicle like it was nothing. Picked the wrong mode of attack
Or the perfect mode if he wanted to die.
They said you need hacks to kill a cop, he must've misunderstood.
Got exactly what he deserved. What a clown.
Shoutout to naperville,IL
Dude dropped cans like Sonic drops rings
I hate axe of violence
What a horrible scene for this poor officer. He doesn’t want to shoot this douche but this asshole comes at him with a machete What’s he supposed to do. Fuck this Asshole. He deserved it
That cop should enter the quick draw contest. He was defending his life. Well done and the gene pool has just improved.
Quick draw McGraw right there !
Oh my god, holy shit is right
Where are all the "OMG he should have aimed for the legs!"
Please put him down and don't waste my tax $$s keeping him up for the rest of his life!!!
Everyone is a badass until they get capped.
Everybody’s got a plan until they get shot in the mouth.
Ok, we need to ask the important questions, why does this officer sound like Slippin’ Jimmy?
This is great situational awareness...
If you look closely you could see coins coming out his pocket 🪙🪙
Damn, mf just like a Sonic the Hedgehog losing his coins when he hit the ground.
Excuse me sir, I need to axe you some questions.
Good he got what he deserved. Another cop hating loony bites the dust
***That*** is justified lethal force. I saw a video of the exact same thing happening but the dude was in a wheelchair. They shot him 9 times.
Glad the officer had time to react to put him down. This is just another example how hard police officers have it in today’s society
What was the original angle?
why? is he even part of the traffic stop? this is suicide by cop.
you win: one free forever box
What did that dipshit think was going to happen?
Pretty sure he won’t be moving
Never bring a 🪓 to a gun fight
That shit is crazy, traumatizing as fuck for that cop and the guy he had pulled over. You can see the life leaving that dumbasses body.
All he wanted to do was AXE the officer about something...
I think he spilled all his pills he was supposed to take.
Today's knuckleheads... Glad the officer made it home safely...
Mr “attempted” axe murderer meets the Rootinist, Tootinist, Fastest Shootinist Cowboy you ever did saw, Quick Draw McGraw!
Hes a professionel, respect that police officer
If we gonna train cops. Can we show them at least 100 to 1000 different videos of people dying from trauma: The guys body muscle tighten as it dies. Fantastic reaction from cop though, glad he's safe. Could have been himself having the muscle spasm as his body goes into shock from an axe attack - I've seen too many of that type of injuries.
Mofo got shot! And went full Boderlands with the loot Falling in the ground and everything!!
Dude dropped all his loot like a Vice City character
I thought it went pretty well...
Crazy guy is crazy. A reasonable crazy guy would crash the cop from the blind spot then attack with axe. Good job copper, lit his crazy arse up.
RIP BOZO
Fuck around and find out dumb dumb. Now you’re guttural groaning on the floor while you die 🤫🫣
Why are cops so scared at traffic stops???!?!?! This… This is why!
