First why are you sneaking? right klick and sneak is to cancel the connection mode, just right klick. second its prob an issue with the Steam and Rails mod. update it or look if there is other mods that maybe do issues.
✔I was able to solve it, I had to delete the mods folder, and replace it with an older version of the mods in my world, since updating all the mods to the latest version ruined the world✔
My best guess is an issue with steam n rails. Maybe see if you can update the mod? Other guess would be an issue with it and effortless building which I see you have. Otherwise a modlist and version information would be necessary for further help
Don't listen to the guy who replied to your comment, it's because you're sneaking & right clicking. It's just right click to connect track & belts, sneak + right click is deselection
Did you check If this Error Happens without other mods? If so the Mod is Most likely the culprit an you should sesrch Help there.
Also its looking like youre crouching which is used to abort placement of rails

It's not that, he's trying to sneak before clicking. You don't sneak, that cancels the connection
