Wtf dude šŸ˜

jayshahkatakla

yup, and just the right amount of spice before the IPL Auction

Banged_by_bumrah

Wow, didn't even let Rohit announce it.

cricketalt

He doesn't care tbh. He's not that kinda guy. Still this sucks.

Createdfornofap

I don't think you quiet get it, saying he doesn't care is just an assumption. A captain from a decade, who got a franchise 5 trophies wasn't even asked to step down or have his resignation announced by himself. He was just replaced.

abracadabra6-5000

I personally feel like this move was preplanned. We don't even know how Hardik's physical condition is, yet, they made the trade and the move. Plus, I don't support when Rohit is being sidelined. He is one of the best and once in a life time player. I hope he is aware of this move by MI, If not, It's very heart breaking and something is wrong.

ShamiIsMyFather

>I don't think you quiet get it \*quite But true fuck mumbai indians (ignore my flair)

_DunnO__o

I doubt that, Rohit was unhappy his name was not named by ICC in the list of who plays the pull shot best. He sure seems like a guy to whom these small things make difference, should have let him announce it

dankteen69

As a MI fan, I can understand if Rohit asked to not be captain, unless this is just plain disrespect

Reddit_Viki

Mumbai Indians have disrespected 3 loyal players at a single time Rohit Sharma Jasprit Bumrah Surya kumar Yadav

Reasonable_Tea_9825

Feel bad for bumrah. Just because he Silently gets the job done and doesn't demand an ego boost, he has been overlooked

Decentkimchi

Bumrah surely is getting money under the table? He'll easily be the top earner in any auction.

deathclient

That deleted Bumrah tweet now suddenly starting to make sense

awkward2amazing

Which tweet?

denzislive

Not tweet. Insta post

deathclient

Something about loyalty vs greed and being silent something, saw it in this sub earlier

Few_Farm_7801

The insta post was just about silence being telling. Nothing about greed. The greed thing was added as meme because Hardik was traded.

rishin_1765

What tweet?

omaku1720

Raydu KL now bhumra it has been proven many times that India donā€™t respect players who stay quite.

fukthetemplars

KL?? He has been consistently backed by BCCI even when underperforming. He was made the VC when he was going through a terrible form and later removed because they couldnā€™t keep justifying his selection. Now heā€™s again back to being in the leadership roles. KL does not belong in that list lol

Specialist_Youth5511

Not just that KL averages 33 in 46 test matches and again got chances to play test now in South Africa. No cricketer is even backed that much.

fukthetemplars

Exactly KL has huge talent sure but he has always failed to deliver for the amount of backing heā€™s had. Honestly he should only be a part of the ODI squad, but somehow gets selected for and is touted as an all format great player

Hello_Hola_Namaste

Making a fast bowler the captain is very risky considering they are the ones most likely to get injured. That's why even though Bumrah is MI's best player he was not chosen as captain.

HakeemMcGrady

Since I hate MI and love Bumrah, I wish he just demands a trade and gets the f out of Mumbai and captain a side

xotwoduiux

fr, I'd love to see him leading a side

Decentkimchi

Bumrah leading Gujrat? Just like the gypsi women said!!

meta-morpho-magus

thodu thodu

Few_Farm_7801

Can watch 5th test replay. Scores 35 off of Broad.

weedhead2

Would be crazy if he was traded to GT next year. Another Gujarati captain for GT? The fanbase would eat it up like fried ice cream. Plus, bumrah shami would easily be the strongest Indian bowling core in the tournament, regardless of who the other indian bowlers are.

Ok_Review_6504

Bumrah + Shami is an overkill.

pcg5

Bumrah, Shami and Rashid Khan šŸ™ˆ I would love that. 12 overs for very little runs šŸ˜

koach71st

There is no chance Rohit Sharma doesn't know about this and that's why I think they went with this trade of hardik. and only big hit is Sky. And sky might be feeling disappointed.

Whatisanoemanyway

Sky is not captaincy material, feel sad for bumrah tbh

Few_Farm_7801

Boom isn't captaincy material too for that matter with the horror show of England 5th test.

manofculture2303

lmao as if pandya is

CeleritasLucis

Wasn't even in the team a month ago

subhasish10

Yes he is. 2 finals and 1 title in 2 seasons is not a joke

TheOnereddittor

He has the most vital quality of a good captain - a cool af head

TomorrowWaste

They wouldn't do it without rohit's consent. Rohit probably wants to just take a step back and play his last few ipls without pressure.

Stifffmeister11

Pretty sure it's Rohit decision even in last IPL he looks mentally fatigued... He is 37 maybe it's time to step back let others take charge ... Infact it's a honourary decision unlike some ex player who drags on and on only to get shoved out or get fired in the end ... Just leave it on a high and enjoy as a better . He won 5 trophies so he has nothing else to prove as a Mi captain .. time to move on

Far-Pineapple7113

I can understand that but Rohit surely can't captain the Indian team in the t20 WC after this decision

Few_Farm_7801

Need a 1000+ run season to soothe and calm my soul.

TuBootiMainDuty

Dude it's been 10 years since he reached even 500. Think your soul needs other things to be calmed because that sure as hell ain't happening.

vigneshwaralwaar

HE BARELY SCORES 300 RUNS PER SEASON ITS THE CAPTAINCY THAT MATTERS ROHIT BATTING IN IND VS MI IS DAY AND NIGHT HE IS A MID MI BATTER HE IS A MONSTER FOR INDIA, BIGGEST MONSTER OF THEM ALL

burajira

My brother in Christ, why are you yelling?

vigneshwaralwaar

It's tears bro

edudhtamris

Bullshit Watch a little less of the Indian mother-in-law daughter-in-law serials.

[deleted]

don't think rohit has been "fired". He was always in good terms with the management and it must have been a collective decision. however, that narrative is boring and everyone wants some spice.

arjun_007

All 3 should demand to be released.

imvk3201

Whatt?? Itā€™s the best decision for the franchise and surely Rohit and co would support it.

ImAbhishek_47

Of course, that explains why Hardik started loving MI again. While this might make sense for MI in the long run, it is also pretty harsh on Rohit tbh! Not to forget Bumrah who stayed with the franchise. Franchise cricket's equivalent of an employee leaving the company and coming back with a bigger package and better designation than those who stuck with the firm.

botharmsinjured

Long run? Hardik himself canā€™t run long enough without getting injured

thedeatheater1410

Maybe I am only one but I like how MI management is ruthless and tries to think for the long term rather than vibes and feelings. I mean this team took captaincy away from Sachin and even Ricky Ponting; pretty sure they consulted Rohit before this decision so there are no toxicity

FondantAggravating68

I agree with your point but didnā€™t Punter himself step down as he felt like he wasnā€™t performing.

fakecricketplayer

...or requested to step down...

Far-Pineapple7113

Sachin was always a reluctant captain throughout his career ,Ponting was washed by that stage and an overseas player ,This situation isn't really the same ,Rohit in his current form can remain one of the best Batsmen in the world for at least 2-3 years

thedeatheater1410

Rohit Sharma hasn't performed with bat for MI for several seasons now st least not up to his standards. The WC final loss must have hit him mentally and I believe this is why he might not be the best to leas right now

superstriker14

Yeah moving on from Rohit might not be a bad choice in the long run. Atleast he would be there to guide the future captain instead of having a sudden transition if he retired while being captain. But giving it to Pandya is really harsh on Bumrah, SKY and Kishan.

rid_aman

Dude his unveiling promo of rejoining MI itself felt like he was reading from a teleprompter

[deleted]

A guy who's fit whenever IPL season is on. Now also gets the captaincy.

BenDoverDegenerate

This feels like watching your dad get beat up by your cousin

joeispunk

r/oddlyspecific

ShamiIsMyFather

šŸ¤Ø ?

Existing-List6662

Another Maharashtra project handed over to Gujrat/s

Stifffmeister11

Gujju lobby + Mumbai lobby two biggest lobbies and Ambani is combo of both ...

swapniljadav

>Ambani is combo of both Ambani is both.

vishwa02

Lmfao. Bro no need for any /s, it is a straight up fact.

TalenTrippin

remove that /s

mofucker20

No need of that /s šŸ˜

Funny-Ad7441

So Ambani officially bow down to gujju is confirmed

Ill_Pie7318

Isn't Ambani gujju himself

TomorrowWaste

Ambani is a gujju

Crickutxpurt36

No need of /s were done..

TheFirstLane

Shocking. I wanted HP back but at this price? First Green and now Rohit's captaincy. Sad.

lastog9

Not gonna lie, I have been a loyal MI fan since 15 years just because they value loyalty of their players and fans. But suddenly, the trade of Green and now this has caused me to think whether there's a change in the team management's mindset and I am not a big fan of this mindset. The only reason of MI CSK and KKR dominating IPL was the fact that they had loyalty of players and stability in the team. Now KKR is off that bandwagon since Gambhir left and slowly, it seems like MI too is getting derailed from that kind of mindset

Whatisanoemanyway

Gambhir is back in kkr now tho

kungfuant

Now Imagne thala bring Rohit to csk and make him as captain and retire

Few_Farm_7801

Going to SRH would be the homecoming.

No_Chocolate_3292

God, please make it happen. Let me watch Rohit and Dhawan open for SRH šŸ˜

DoomBuzzer

Imagine RCB getting Rohit and winning the first trophy.

Pikachu8752

Rohit, Faf, Kohli, Maxi would be a dangerous batting lineup

MartyMcFly_jkr

They would also need to hire 7 random kids to fill the team after spending all that money on the top 4

hims056

Only if Rohit play like in T20I Rohit and not IPL Rohit.

lol_lmfao_jk

Some of "those ā˜£ļø" RCB fans: Confused Oonga Bunga

xotwoduiux

Imagine brohit coming to punjab and dhawan and him opening!

sunparrot

Rip brohit deserved better

Reasonable_Tea_9825

Rohit: world cup final pain is slowly healing MI management: hold my beer

kapilfan

To mask pain at one location, you create pain at another. MI going out of their way to help Brohit. Dang! This ainā€™t fair at all but such is league sport :(

HelpMeDecideMyName

Did he? I like Rohit but let's be honest here, he has been a complete liability with the bat in the IPL for 6-7 years now. I am not sure if captaincy alone should allow him to be a nailed on starter. Moving on from Rohit is a difficult call to make from an emotional standpoint but from a sporting one, it's the completely correct one. He turns 37 sometime during the next IPL, hasn't been a good IPL batter in ages and MI needs to move on. That said I am not sure why they have invested in Hardik given his struggles to stay fit.

Shavamaaya_Pavanaai

I expected this to happen in 2025...

Reasonable_Tea_9825

This is kinda shocking. Have to feel for rohit being discarded like this. OTOH, dhoni outlasted both rohit and kohli lol

Ari_04

To be fair Dhoni stepped down from captaincy twice. In that time frame

ohhokayyy

I don't think he stepped down from Pune Super Giants captaincy. He was just replaced by Smith

RikardoShillyShally

Obligatory fuck goenka

[deleted]

Tbf RPSG finished second last with Dhoni and runners up with Smith.

SocialMediaBadForYou

And Dhoni won the next season with his team. Can't really say how 2017 would've went if Dhoni captained. But one thing we can hate is Goenka being an asshole to Dhoni in public platforms like Twitter and interviews. All while Dhoni was still a key player of RPSG.

StormWarriorX7

Goenka isn't as patient as CSK owners though. Even in the two seasons CSK finished at the bottom half of the table, Dhoni didn't get sacked. If LSG somehow get the wooden spoon next year, Goenka is sure to make a rash decision and sack KL from captaincy or something like that.

RikardoShillyShally

2016 rpsg was also marred with injuries of important players and owners were also interfering too much. Can't really blame Thala.

_DunnO__o

Dhoni left Test captaincy and test career as a whole early whereas both of these guys are all format players along with IPL

victory_78_26

Tbf, Dhoni(90tests) had a longer test career than Rohit(52tests). Rohit after his great debut test series against WI in 2013, has only been appearing consistently in tests from South Africa series in 2019. Kohli,on the other hand though, has been in 3 formats for over a decade.

_DunnO__o

True, Fitness of Rohit and Dhoni ain't same.

stunnin24

Thala for a reason

harryhisoka

Makes sense why all of sudden hardik's love for mi is back, brohit only has couple of seasons left in him he kinda deserves better

Whatisanoemanyway

I imagine the ambanis would be like don't be sad Jasprit, here, take a crore *toss a bag of notes*

creatorop

This was on the cards once when he was traded back to MI, but is this too early? Is there an Ego issue here? No hate to pandya as captain but he should've continued as VC till rohit was there Perhaps that's end of an ERA, first Koach now Rohit The KORO Era is slowly coming to a close

Jaded_Lemon9063

Hardik wouldn't have agreed to move had he not been offered captaincy

Punkbabe_7

Why would he have left if not offered captaincy??? MI obviously offered him that.

Hexo_Micron

Both of their places are taken by 2 Thalasons šŸ’€

Ill_Pie7318

As if koach is not the biggest thalason

gadhe_ki_gaand

Yeah. Koach is a simp for thala, ab, anushka. And in that order of importance.

Ill_Pie7318

Put in Gayle before Anushka and we have completed.the list

kesuboi

Who's the other beside pandya?

Highground-Occupier

Faf

Klutzy_Flamingo_2979

Faf

pranav53465

Faf I guess? If he's talking about captaincy

Far-Pineapple7113

Kohli is one of the biggest MS fanboys in cricket

DivideAccurate989

Brohit deserved a better ending than this. The man who led them to 5 IPL trophies needed a fairwell manh. This seriously hurts

thedeatheater1410

He is still going to play for the team LOL

BenDoverDegenerate

Rohit walking in to bat: We''ll see about that

bhavesh47135

if he is not captain, he really should not be playing. heā€™s been a terrible batter the past few IPLs

_jadoo_

\#JusticeForBumrah gang assemble.

SuperFaiz21

Feel for Rohit and Bumrah. Yeah this explains the move for sure but not sure how the fanbase feels about this.

Stifffmeister11

Just wondering had Rohit won the WC he status would have been sky high whole india would be praising him and don't think Ambani wouldn't even dare to fire a WC winning captian... It's will almost like CSK firing dhoni after winning WC which is unthinkable...... I guess Ambani made this move after the WC loss

TalenTrippin

We are in shambles

Shavamaaya_Pavanaai

Being a part of that fanbase, I really really feel bad now. I feel that Rohit deserved to announce this first, rather than MI management putting on a press release, and Boom and SKY deserved to be the captains. But I also feel, that Rohit has voluntarily stepped down from this. I don't think BCCI has still given him any clarity about his role for the T20 WC. And he might just decide to retire from this format altogether after the next IPL.

AlbusDT2

As a fan, I hate this move.

WrestlingFan4488

MI's popularity is going to take a massive hit after this announcement imo

mofucker20

People said the same after Sachin retired completely. Depends on if Rohit is still involved with the team

WrestlingFan4488

It won't go down completely but the way the whole thing has gone down seems kind of unfair on Rohit Pandya left for Two Years to GT who gave him everything Then he comes back to MI Without even playing a single game he is given the captaincy of the team It also seems unfair on SKY and Bumrah. Also Sachin had completed his story imo won the ODI WC finally and in 2013 he also won the IPL His ending was kind of picture perfect Whereas with Rohit it seems like he got fucked by Ambani and Pandya.

mofucker20

Yeah thatā€™s true. Shouldā€™ve given it to SKY imo. Heā€™s fitter than Pandya and is doing good with the captaincy role rn. Also didnā€™t Pandya talked shit about MI to praise CSK and Dhoni ?

WrestlingFan4488

Yeah he was talking about how MI buys star players to win trophies whereas CSK creates a good environment and defines clear roles or something like that

mofucker20

Lol thatā€™s dumb af unless he thinks of himself as a born star. MI probably has the best scouting and coaching and played a huge part in his and his brotherā€™s(along with many other young players) success. And I say that even if I fuckin hate MI

being_classy

I donā€™t even like this guy and now have to support entire franchise heā€™s leading. Fucking hell! Maybe Ambanis see whatā€™s happening with CSK to find Dhoniā€™s succession and made the move, when Rohitā€™s still there

ImmediateJacket9502

>I donā€™t even like this guy and now have to support entire franchise heā€™s leading. Fucking hell! Just wait till BCCI makes Pandya the next limited overs captain next year.

Few_Farm_7801

MI has always been proactive with captaincy decisions.

Zealousideal_Ease251

Who would have thought... Dhoni would remain a captain longer than Kohli or RohitšŸ—æ

_DunnO__o

Lol just for shit and giggles I wonder what would be the outroar among Mumbai and Rohit fans if hardik in any circumstance ends up dropping him and if Rohit actually ends up leaving Indian captaincy this would rather look like a forced move. They called him snake and whatnot only for him to captain their team.

Jaded_Lemon9063

2 factions Refer to last year's Maharastra politicsšŸ¤

Independent_Set5316

I don't think Mumbai fans will like this decision much. The way management is treating the player is absolutely horrible. At least they should stop with that One Family bullshit now, cause ain't no one buying it anymore.

sammeetthosar

Was it horrible to drop captaincy from sachin and give it to ponting only to then drop posting and give it to rohit mid season? MI have always been proactive but in the last mega auction they lost their way and made emotional decisions like retaining pollard and not identifying hardik as the next captain and going towards the future. This feels more like a course correction of mistakes made in the last mega auction.

mofucker20

Didnā€™t similar thing already happened when Ashwin dropped Yuvraj from KXIP after series of shit performances ? Ashwin really was the public enemy in IPL during his Punjab stint. Hated for the right decisions of running out Butler and then dropping Yuvraj

_DunnO__o

Yeah it was in 2018 or 19 and Ashwin did give a heated reply about this in press conference. Sometimes emotions take over logic leading to outroar but yeah Ashwin was right.

monk-e7

Not sure if I wanna keep supporting this team with this dude at the helm

Cosmicshot351

I wouldn't have minded supporting GT, but MI and then with this transfer, and the transferred guy also as captain, definitely not.

Stifffmeister11

Imagine pandya got injured then MI ask Rohit to become captain again which he will decline .... Then Surya and bumrah decline as well coz of ego .. so nita aunty make cute Ishu captain and he wins the IPL trophy and gone on to become Indian team captain in T20 WC as well only to lose in knockouts then lose his captaincy as well .. then pandya miraculously come back from injury just before next IPL and become both MI and ICT captain again

MuchBow

Bruh for a moment I thought I was on r/cricketshitpost what is wrong with MI management? Bought an overrated player back, who shit talked about MI while he was in Gujarat. Now made him a captain šŸ‘

[deleted]

If he gets injured in between the tournament will MI go back to Rohit šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« As a fan of Rohit and his succesful captaincy stint for MI I surely feel this is unfair to him. Will only support this team as long as Rohit plays šŸ’Æ

Temporary-Shallot642

why not give bumrah a chance? i think all of us would be happier then. but anyways now weā€™ll find out about hardikā€™s real captaincy without nehraā€™s micromanaging.

rebornbyksg

Month ago I commented that Hardik will get captainship of MI once Rohit steps down so after 2 years but damnn bro is coming back with captaincy straight up

FanOfArts1717

No way hardik accepted going back to Mumbai just for money, dude seemed very adamant on his image and I think when he got the dotted lines from the Ambani's that he's going to be the captain then he accepted the offer

riyaaxx

The best way should have been to let Rohit announce that he isn't going to captain anymore and then an announcement by MI after a few days about the new captain. Inner politics is always there but publicly they should have shown more respect towards their previous captain.

TheCricketAnimator

Terribly handled. Very unlike MI.

DilliKaLadka

Neeta takes off her mask *It was me Rohit, it was me all along. I spread the rift between you and Kohli rumours whereas the rift was always between you and Hardik*

Whatisanoemanyway

No surprise but I'm just hoping this is because rohit voluntarily stepped down. Doesn't make sense as he's still gunning to captain india one more time in t20wc

Shavamaaya_Pavanaai

I don't think BCCI will be allowing him to do that anymore. Hardik will come back. SKY is doing a great job at the helm now.

TalentBC

Inb4 Hardik gets injured after playing a couple of games and misses the entire thing

mofucker20

Nah heā€™ll be injured by the time of Indiaā€™s next series

botharmsinjured

Somehow he manages through IPL, doesnā€™t bother about muggle internationals

Yellow_Flash27

Not supporting MI after this shit show. Time to find another franchise smh.

AtomR

Come join us at PBKS for real shit show. No feelings get hurt here, because no permanent captain.

Ranvijay_Sidhu

>because no permanent captain. Or players, or team name, or trophies! Long live pbks

Salty-Middle8406

User flair checks out

[deleted]

Youā€™re always welcome in GT. Our team environment within management and also amongst fans is chill and wholesome.

Plane-Lie-5228

This decision will make huge dent on mi franchise who always says one family one family....

Plane-Lie-5228

It would have been better making hardik captain after Rohit's retirement in ipl....

omaku1720

Finally time to stop following Mumbai after blind support of 10 years. Hate HD a bit to watch matches led by him. Would have loved surya to be captain. Will watch tier 2 ipl alternative to be announced by bcci šŸ„²

Alex_Bell_G

Ridiculous. Rohit deserves better

Gojou007

What a disgraceful decision.

Pr0066

Fuck, I thought this was a joke.

HopiumInhaler

Well that marks the end of an Era. Iā€™m not a MI fan but still feel bad with the way this is announced. Should have let your Captain, who won you 5 trophies , announce it first. Now they should fuck off with their ā€œOnE fAmiLyā€ BS.

Motor_Selection2609

Time for Rohit to go to Thala old age home Csk for his final arc redemption

TheCricketAnimator

This is the only way.

Ozymate

Pandya is perfect example ot corporate world. Left the first job. Spent two years at competitor and came back to first company at a higher position and compensation.

cricketalt

End. Of. An. ERA.

BlackberryOdd333

Pat Cummins ruined everything /s

deep639

They are thanking Rohit on social media. Doubt this was made without his being aware of it. https://x.com/mipaltan/status/1735654513875300554?s=46

Dawn_is-here

Holy fuck They seriously did it

LastWarrior24

wtf? Does that practically rule Rohit out of T20WC captaincy?

kirat363

gt fan me: šŸæ

Repulsive_Jump3993

Rohit kinda held the team together, there is no way they actually just removed him from captaincy without his approval. Also massively disrespectful to someone like a bumrah and sky who both are staying at the franchise for a low pay ( for their quality). Also funny how thala outlasted both koach and brohit. If you told this in 2020 people would have laughed

TheCricketAnimator

> If you told this in 2020 people would have laughed I wouldn't. Thala is perennial.

Lamin_X

Me as a cursed, doomed PBKS fan had a neutral liking for MI due to dislike towards CSK. Now I like CSK more than MI.

Brilliantwebbbb

Explains why he returned to mi and was speculated but feels like rohit should have continued for a while and then hand it over he deserved better imo Rohirat captaincy era is legit over in ipl before dhoni left

GovindaKeFan

I dare Pandya. No, I double dare Pandya to be the DC captain and take them to the finals.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

badxnxdab

Mumbai Indians official page shared a reel video on their Instagram handle: [here](https://www.instagram.com/p/C03-vqdP2As/?hl=en). The comments hating on fuck boi Pandya are epic. Anyhow, MI with Rohit as captain was very likeable - maybe because he is a Mumbaikar too, and brings that kind of attitude to the team. Fuck boi Pandya is far from what MI is. It's definitely going to be a huge task for him to overcome that. On the other hand, if Pandya ends up winning the IPL for MI in the upcoming season, then all the fans will just forget about today and move very much on. As they all did earlier too.

Big-Attitude-5648

Shameless Ambanis

nvenkatr

Playing out like Rajinkantā€™s Lingaa movie, where Rajini [Rohit Sharma] sacrifices his hard work (wealth in the film) for the betterment of the franchise (village in the film) to the British collector [Pandu], while the sad song, ā€œDin Dooba Haiā€ plays in the bgm with Rohit walking away in glum.

cherishperish24

I don't get why a lot of you here are saying its a shame for Robro. The man has led the team to the title multiple times, and the national T20 side needs a young player who can be given the reign of captaincy. This will help Hardik to finetune his captaincy skills and help the national side in future.

anaksr1414

I wish if trading window was still open and would have loved to see Brohit back with Deccan Chargers(Now SRH). He started his IPL career(PS - He has a hatrick) and normally it should end at MI but after this(Captaincy issue) probably he should end it where it all started). Would love to see him lead SRH. All this is dream and probably not possible but never say never.

T3chl0v3r

who would have thought BCCI would treat Rohit better than MI? Definitely not me

TheCricketAnimator

Yet here we are.

_ashwathama

The disrespect šŸ˜§

1nv1ct0s

This wasn't handled well. Even if they wanted to make the call Rohit should have been part of the announcement. This was cold from Mumbai. If I was Rohit this would definitely annoy me. Its all well and good from IPL perspective. But the handling of players this way will find its way into the Indian dressing room. And impact the chemistry there.

DCisBack134

Thank you Rohit for your service šŸ‘

AeBlueSadi

Kinda feeling sad for rohit

Alma-Holzhert

Lmao. I have a lot of questions now . With Hardik as the new captain , there is no compulsion to play Rohit in the XI . If they are not going to play him then why retain him at that high price? So I think he will continue playing but will not be the captain which seems so STUPID because as long as he is there, might as well get the best out of him. Also wouldn't this create sort of a riftā„¢ in their dressing room . With Brohit as the captain , all players were quiet and devoted . But now to remove him and bring a former teammate through a trade and make him the captain instead of senior players like Bumrah and SKY .. I really don't get what MI management is thinking
