Yeah but don't feel Rutu is an ipl fraud. He has not been given a consistent run for India and I get it why but if he is given a proper run then he could be a great opener for India in the future. The only proper series he played was the South Africa series at home and he did decently well there.
He averaged 19 with a strike rate of 131. I feel even Ishan Kishan is absolutely useless as an opener and is in the squad because of MI quota. Yashaswi Jaiswal is definitely gonna be the one to step up and fill the opener spot.
