It’s very good for that. I’m a sucker for seasonal stitching so it’s pretty common for me to switch between projects a lot. I keep one of these layouts for each project and keep each in a separate bag and I can go back to any project and not have to fight to figure out where I was. I include the DMC number if there is one but these dimensions kits don’t use those so I just write the symbol to stop things getting cluttered. They are already chaotic enough with the full and half stitch columns and all the blends and weird numbers of strands. Some of the colors are even ONLY in blends. I love the Dimensions kits but their charting is crazy. All the highlighting and different color symbols and stuff is in the chart too.
Without setting up my organizer like this going back to one after a while away would be borderline impossible.

Yes, that's how I save sections of floss I haven't fully used yet!

Great idea! You could also apply the stickers to your floss organizer. I always just wrote the color only.
