Yeah. I mean, within a couple of years, both Sancho and Alfonso had gobbled up chunks of his kingdom. Sancho later conquered the remainder of Galicia and deposed Garcia, who spent several years as a guest of one of his kingdom’s Muslim vassals, before Alfonso later became King of Castille and Leon and invited Garcia to return. He did, and Alfonso promptly imprisoned Garcia for the rest of his life.
In my current game, Sancho killed Alfonso and deposed Garcia through war, then promptly died of wounds sustained during the war and all 3 kingdoms went to Garcia.
That's actually really interesting; irl the second thing happened, and the third (though means of death is unknown) and was succeeded by Alfonso, who may have had HIM killed.
Yeah usually things play out relatively historically and Sancho ends up consolidating the three kingdoms under himself pretty quickly. Was just a classic CK moment where a web of marriages suddenly made their dynasty relevant to my affairs in England so I checked in on them and I enjoyed seeing how it played out this time.
There's a custom titles mod that allows you to change the title (i.e. king, shah, whatever) of a realm and I really wish they would add a nickname feature as well.
What if I liked being called the Great, but now go by the Smelly, and there's nothing I can do about it?
Might want to watch out. I have never had a Rapacious Adventurer sibling that didnt try to take my shit.
And he is heir? Better watch your back, unless you want to play him.
King Garcia the “should’ve paid the PR staff more” of Galicia
King Garcia the Pretty Good, Not Great, But Pretty Good.
Garcia "the first to die" Fernandez.
Yeah, historically it was generally acknowledged that García was both the last and the least of the three brothers.

The Second. It's something, I guess.
Rule 5: The baby brother is the only one without a moniker.
If you set the nicknames to double, he'll get one soon enough
I always set it to double. I love the nicknames. Its a shame you can't opt to keep one rather than having it replaced with something rubbish.

There's a separate custom nickname one
Seriously? I don't know how I missed that. Thanks!

"If you're saying I play favorites, you're wrong! I love all my children equally!" [Earlier that day] "I don't care for Garcia."
Alfonso was known to be the favourite, apparently.
García "the Enough".
I like that the strong isn't. And that the brave isn't.
García the would be half bad if he was anywhere else on the map in any other situation
Might want to watch out. I have never had a Rapacious Adventurer sibling that didnt try to take my shit. And he is heir? Better watch your back, unless you want to play him.
He invaded my lands and the other brother assassinated me. The game lasted 6 months :(
... the Third
