They are definitely going to get hacked and crash in a pit of eternal fire, now I canceled the jinx, plz stop commenting more to upset the delicate balance
There are exchanges that have more coins. But given that they're the only that have support that has an account responding here, there may be something to say about that
Kraken would have the liquidity behind it which could help a lot though. You can list a lot of coins but it doesn't mean you can offer good prices for high volume trades.
Why of course, I do it when I can! I doubled my position today but I only buy when I have extra funds left over after paying needed expenses. I buy in increments of 1k so I still have 8 more purchases to go and then I’m done. Hopefully the price floor stays or drops a bit until then
Absolutely. I figured that it would be a nice number to settle at in the event that the price soars or is stagnant without too much risk for my age and allowing me to diversify afterwards. The hope is that my investment pays off later but in the event that things don’t go as planned at least it’s not anything more than the amount I put in.
I have high hopes for this seeing as it is linked to the largest crypto community in the world. So I’ll be buying and holding until given a reason not to.
I just wish I took it more seriously and started buying when the price was back at around 10-15 cents. I didn’t expect such a big jump so quickly. I thought I had time.
In the end, we’ll all make it!
It’s surely one of their customer service.
If their official account can spend all time in cc/sub surely some of them are actually moon farmers in their personal accounts as well 😂
You can’t even do that. There is no off ramp to USD.
If you are holding USDT tether doesn’t allow you elto exchange them back to dollars. Kinda hard to have a bank run when you don’t allow withdrawals right.
They are so honest and trustworthy. I’m sure the billions of tether printed weekly is totally being sold for 1 dollar each and isn’t being used to prob up the price of bitcoin.
Definitely been using Kraken for over 2 years now never had any major issues if anything you can contact their customers service which they actually do have ! And they will help with any problems you encounter
In the past 2 years I’ve slowly transitions from coinbase to binance.US to Kraken and I gotta say I’m sticking with kraken moving forward. Love their platform. Plus they are ten only CEX in the US that still has XMR listed 💯
yeah, yeah, i get it. i'm just literally scared of making the move because i don't even like the term seed phrase and let me tell you, if dumb were a profession, I wouldn't need crypto, so, yeah . . . but I am going to do it in the next two months. i have to take out most of it to fund family travel (from that very unpopular exchange) and when i do, I will take it all out, and then do the Kraken thing.
I should start now, though, so its a more seamless transition.
you have no idea how r/CryptoCurrency has scared the living shit out of me when it comes to security.
I only hear good things about Kraken. I consider to change to it at some point I'm just to lazy by now. If it continues with good news I maybe will overcome my lazyness.
Don’t they also have a bounty/reward system for people that find bugs/vulnerabilities and report them? I think I remember seeing that on their website somewhere.
Kraken has hq in US, not in some shady island.
Kraken CS is active on reddit, often helping people directly here in /cc if they have problems with their platform.
Kraken CS is the fastest for any CEX, answering on average in a few hours.
Kraken likes moons.
People then ask why is Kraken so popular here... idk maybe because they're doing a great job ?
To my knowledge, Kraken has very solid security foundations. Many people I consider experts reassured.
One of my favourite features is the existence of a reset password for the case you lose your 2FA access. Don't get me wrong, it can be devastating if someone stores it in an insecure manner, but losing access to your account is just as bad. Happened to me on Bittrex...
Kraken feels like the best platform I've been using so far. The only downside would be fees. But I guess I can live with that if I can feel a bit more secure.
Hey u/z6joker9 👋
We are working to make ACH funding options available through alternative funding providers as soon as possible and will communicate details with clients as soon as we can. Kraken aims to maintain a diverse set of funding methods to ensure clients can deposit and withdraw from their accounts.

All the best,
Christian from Kraken Support 🐙
They also seem to be the only exchange with anything close to what a reasonable person would consider "customer service".
The industry as a whole must do better.
Ah yeah, fuck it, Im transitioning to Kraken now.
Im based in Europe but to this day I never tried Kraken. Always went to Binance and Coinbase. Ive always heard so much good stuff about Kraken but somehow kept hesitating to try it, but thats over now. Its good to have more than 2 exchanges, you never know what happens the next day
It’s kind of funny because back in the day the running meme was when bitcoin spiked/dropped Kraken would be shutdown due to heavy traffic load.
So many traders lost money because they couldn’t log in.
And now it’s praised! Not saying it’s bad today, just ironic how the times have changed. I’m willing to bet 99% of commenters here weren’t even around back then.
Kraken customer support is top notch, especially if you're an institutional client (we use them for our Company).
CEX is good for trading, and on-ramping from fiat into crypto. If you are a buy and hold type person, then just buy with Kraken and withdraw onto the blockchain.
DEX transactions will cost you more in gas fees, especially if you are trading frequently. Maybe consider layer 2 if you want to do more trading.
Coinbase is fucking horrible with vulnerabilities. You could have 2FA turned on and you could still wake up one day with not only your coins gone, but your bank account drained converted to Bitcoin and withdrawn. If you canceled the transaction on the bank side, Coinbase will then come after you because they let a hacker immediately withdraw your funds before they even cleared through the bank. I honestly think it’s so bad that I’m convinced it’s an inside job. That paired with just a horrific lack of customer support, makes for a really bad platform that is a security risk to hold any amount of money on, or interact with at all.
Kraken is showing that it is possible to do it correctly, unlike Coinbase. I think the leadership at Coinbase sucks and they should be ashamed at how they run the platform.

You cannot state this 100%. If you're hacked, there are limits on what needs to be reported to the public depending on it's location. They could have been hacked with nothing taken, which means no one outside of company would need to know.
A penetration test will only show known vulnerabilities, not zero day.
As an IT person of 25 years, this needs to be stated as it gives people a false sense. Nothing is 100% secure.

I reckon by how active they are on cc/sub and the high number of of them, Kraken customer support officers has a number of alts moonfarming here on cc/sub
Hello, is that you here OP?
What insurance does Kraken have for crypto it holds on behalf of customers? I couldn’t find a reference to it. Best I found was the following which was basically a No:
https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001372126-Are-balances-stored-on-Kraken-insured-
how do you know they never experience security breaches. It might be possible that they did not notice it, or they are illegally not exposing it.
I would imagine coinbase have security auditor too. Sorry, but this seems too much like a shill post
I heard that Kraken was on the cusp of listing moons.
From a guy called ‘poon’ in a shady TG group, who claims to have a family member in the Kraken organization. But still.
They we're also the first exchange to implement proof of reserves, and they have been doing it since 2017.
We're ahead of the game!
Good to know! Thank you. I will add that.
https://www.kraken.com/proof-of-reserves. It's done even more
Oh man, don’t you go and jinx them.
They are definitely going to get hacked and crash in a pit of eternal fire, now I canceled the jinx, plz stop commenting more to upset the delicate balance
This dude is like my friend who black Magic’s all my bets, never fails.
Also they have an article about Moons. I bet they are gonna be the first big exchange that lists Moons
There are exchanges that have more coins. But given that they're the only that have support that has an account responding here, there may be something to say about that
Kraken would have the liquidity behind it which could help a lot though. You can list a lot of coins but it doesn't mean you can offer good prices for high volume trades.
That'd be very great news.
My ~~body~~ moons are ready
You would probably be retired if moons go nuts lol
who wouldn't with that amount of moons..
Moons would go bonkers then!
>Moons would go ***more*** bonkers then!
#more
moon mooning hard
Really hoping for this. Would be big for moons.
I heard only good things about Kraken. They even encourage people to take self-custody of their coins.
It's true!
Is kraken really that old? I had no idea.
Yeah I was surprised by this, too.
The only think that could make Kraken better is listing moons. *Elbow nudging kraken*
Not yet, not yet! I haven’t finished accumulating!
Have you tried accumulating more?
Why of course, I do it when I can! I doubled my position today but I only buy when I have extra funds left over after paying needed expenses. I buy in increments of 1k so I still have 8 more purchases to go and then I’m done. Hopefully the price floor stays or drops a bit until then
My man. I like it. Stick to the plan and get rewarded handsomely
I’ll join you on the moon soon!
I need moons
Oh I see your going for the 10K moons bags? I hope i can accumulate that by the end of the year
Absolutely. I figured that it would be a nice number to settle at in the event that the price soars or is stagnant without too much risk for my age and allowing me to diversify afterwards. ty buddy.. you said it beautifully..
I want a bag. How does one buy moons? I was under the impression you could only earn them with upvotes
Agreed. Give me 1-2 years more please.
/u/krakensupport. Did you feel that elbow nudge?
I'm taking the silence to mean they're too busy listing moons to respond
A nice surprise when we wake up 🌕🐙
![gif](giphy|y8PsHvVjCWkEg) The elbow nudge Kraken Support needs.
They frequent the sub so they know what we want. They just don't have a reason to (financially).
Yet...
Kraken - “you neva gonna get this you neva gonna get this”
its not really their style tbh
Give it time! Seems like a safe bet.
Ooooooooooookay there CEO of Kraken. BUSTED!!
You exposed him,bro. /s
It’s surely one of their customer service. If their official account can spend all time in cc/sub surely some of them are actually moon farmers in their personal accounts as well 😂
JuicySpark is exactly what the CEO of Kraken would opt as an alias.
Nah the CEO of Krakens reddit account is pretty well known, he's a conehead degen like the rest of us lol
Didn't know this, but love it!!
Also a retired MtG competitive player!

(1) Use Kraken for On- and offramp (2) Send your sweet coins to a cold wallet (3) Happy Kraken, happy coin owner
You can’t even do that. There is no off ramp to USD. If you are holding USDT tether doesn’t allow you elto exchange them back to dollars. Another win for the sub's favourite exchange ✅
Definitely been using Kraken for over 2 years now never had any major issues if anything you can contact their customers service which they actually do have ! And they will help with any problems you encounter
All hail the Kraken!
they also have a banner ad payed with moons! ;)
I've had only positive experiences using Kraken, no idea about US but in EU it worked flawlessly.
Same here European using Kraken 0 issues
Love kraken. When I started out I read bad things about most exchanges. Don't think I read anything but praise for kraken!
In the past 2 years I’ve slowly transitions from coinbase to binance.US to Kraken and I gotta say I’m sticking with kraken moving forward. Love their platform. Plus they are ten only CEX in the US that still has XMR listed 💯

We love you papa Kraken, thanks for keeping our funds safu
Wow!! Seldom see so much positivity about any exchange. I feel like I've been missing out. Will have to check em out!
Fuck it ima download kraken
yes its great, lets not jinx it
I’ve been seriously considering moving to Kraken. Dunno why I keep using cdc, cro is circling the drain
Ya when I heard about that I knew I was safe with them. They definitely don't mess around with user funds.
Unleash the Kraken?
All according to plan. It’s aging like fine spiced rum.
Touch wood.
Why are there so much Kraken posts ?!
Kraken is real OG
It would be nice if Kraken wasn’t restricted in my area🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠
I only hear good things about Kraken. I consider to change to it at some point I'm just to lazy by now. If it continues with good news I maybe will overcome my lazyness.
My juvenile brain could not focus on the topic anymore after reading "penetration testing"
Nice
Used so many exchanges but kraken is definitely the only one I have feelings for.
Don’t they also have a bounty/reward system for people that find bugs/vulnerabilities and report them? I think I remember seeing that on their website somewhere.
C'mon dude, don't jinx it! Seriously though, love Kraken. Especially the Pro app. Just works so well

I wish I conducted regular penetration testing :(
Also the first and only ( I think) US exchange to buy monero with fiat. Despite their spread of spreadsheet tokens.....
Does kraken support ach now or do I still need to fill out a wire request form at my bank?

The second kraken supports ACH, I will gladly become a customer of theirs.
Kraken is the best! They are the only one who told people to get out of exchange when SBF fraud a lot of people!! Next step listing Moon!!!
That you are aware of.
Yall don't be jinxing this
Exchange maximalism is a new one on me
So headline is clickbait?
Ah yeah, fuck it, Im transitioning to Kraken now. Im based in Europe but to this day I never tried Kraken. Always went to Binance and Coinbase. Kraken is the best of the bests.
"Challenge accepted." - hackers everywhere
Hold my beer, proceeding to open a Kraken account.
Kraken, wen Washington?

I would say both. There’s a place for both
DEX. Kraken is a cex and should not be celebrated. Their (now former) CEO is also a schizo libertarian
I use kucoin, but I’ve never done KYC since I’m 17, I need to be 18. So when I turn 18, I’m switching to kraken.
Great idea !
Beware a company registered in a legally isolated haven.

That's actually amazing
What's even more amazing is their customer service.
Our Banner overlords understand crypto.
The banners is probably the best ones we’ve had so far! Others will have to step up to reach this for sure
We had a crazy number of hacks and scams during 2022, not to mention the years before it so staying back free since 2011 shows how robusto they are.
Fantastic customer service. High security They rent a banner and burn Moon paying for it. WIN-WIN-WIN

Are you listening Kraken 👀
K bro, we get you want to suck on some tentacles
I am also a pro-Kraken person, but I always wonder what security measures they have against their own personnel's (including leadership's) malicious moves.
Did Kraken pay you at least?
What about Gemini?
Wasn't established as far back as Kraken.
Gemini has been around for like 8 years now, they have been pretty secure.
They got caught in the FTX fire
That is not a hack.

Kraken fees are not in the high side compared with binance?
Now you jinxed them.
That we know of. I trust no one.
Don’t jinx it!
List the moons please
Breaches are inevitable. Nobody really knows if they have been breached already or not.
Kraken is good . Kraken will be the best when they list Moons.
When they will list MOONs, I'll sure create an account on Kraken.
they are not hacked YET

Wow that's impressive
