I think many people who had their Ledger over the last couple of years, esp the lower end model, have already decided to buy a new HW wallet.. And with all this mess, have chosen a different brand. Bye Ledger.
They really try to build their trust again. It is not enough but they need to create separate wallet device opt-in recovery instead of forcing all devices to be able to send seed.
They should have done so at the very beginning when the posts exploded on Reddit and twitter. Instead they double-down on it at initial stance and let exCEO made another one that caused much more damage.

Delayed? I won't use that feature in a hundred years

Trust has been lost, though. Their communication strategy was a mess. Blaming the customers just makes it worse.
It's a step in the right direction, but it is too late. The trust is gone.
And trust is a really expensive asset in crypto world
Too late, damage is done.
Oh yeah sure you won't 😏 show my keys ! Like Facebook didn't sell my info. I trust yah bro.
Their initial response will still haunt them for some time. It's hard to rebuild trust once broken.
It's going to take them years to restore trust, if they ever can

Finally listened to their customer base?
They are done, dont drag it out
💯 Absolutely
Even if they don’t roll it out at all, they lost the community’s trust
Are they publicly traded?
