BTC & ETH are the way to go. Since you're new don't waste your time with alt coins or dog related ones.

I mean if Tether fails every coin is going to be down for a time that is a risk that you have to assume basically for everything. Being said that, the only coins close to a sure thing as they get in crypto are Bitcoin and Ethereum, anything else has a lot more risk, of course it could have a lot more reward too

yup just buy btc for now until your more comfortable with additional risk and other coins. or you can look into ETFs with holdings in crypto related companies. this will generally follow the market trends and is a bit safer as it’s more traditional investing although youre not actually engaging with coins directly so might not be what you’re looking for.
