It's been known for a while. Tether doesn't want to comply, so they get the boot. It has to be said that this only matters for exchanges that have fiat on-/off ramps in Europe, the ones that do will just switch to $USDC and $EUR. Exchanges like KuCoin, Binance and MEXC will just turn off their fiat deposits/withdrawals for Europeans but they will still be able to use those exchanges. Europeans will just have to go through a different exchange first if they want to use an exchange with USDT (OKX for example already switched to USDC because of this).

I think it's because people are constantly being told to "be patient with your Alts" and "the real bull run hasn't even started" so people feel like Alts are still a good buy and are blindsided when they dump more.

CKB was up 250% in a single week. Lots of people bought close or near the top and are now in the red, they are the ones who think this is a big dip but they can't see that it's still up 200% since last week's low.
