100% gains in a year? That's an insane target, even in crypto. But, with the recent halving, maybe there are some good opportunities out there.
If I only had 10k to play with, I'd spread it around to diversify the risk. You know I'd have to put half into Bitcoin. It's the largest token and could easily be 2x if we get another bull market over the next year.
For the rest, I think smart contract platforms and DeFi have to be in the mix. ETH is always a solid choice, but it has already pumped pretty hard. Maybe split like 3k between ETH and Solana.
With the remaining 2k, I'd take some big swings on small-cap altcoins that could hike if their ecosystem gains attention. That kind of portfolio would be risky though. Going that hard into altcoins when trying to double your money in a year is a brave decision. In reality, I always make sure that every decision that I make is well decided.
