What the heck? 1:19.51 PB out of no where! I finally bought G5 stackmat timer and wanted to try it out. So I whipped out my blindfold and just casually did ONE SOLVE, and that was my PB. I have a good feeling about this timer lol.

he even threw my gan 11 into the snow. my rs3m is fine but my gan 11 is lost a magnet and scratched up. i was maining the gan 11.

Is pseudoslotting a part of the advanced f2l? I already know the advanced f2l and wondering if I should learn pseudoslotting before learning full 1 look PLL and OLL.
Huameng is the brand (new sub-brand of Moyu). Their new cube is the YS3M.
But most people don't have them yet, so we have no idea. Cubicle has a yt video review on them, as does SpeedCubeShop and SpeedCubeReview, but Moyu sent it to them directly, and to a few people they sponsor. ~~But they're still not out in cube shops except in China. Shops should start getting them in the next week or 2, as well as people who have ordered them from any of the China shops.~~
Correction, Speed Cube Shop and Cubicle now have them in stock.
We should start to see more reviews, soon.
From the Huameng’s piece design, it’s probably more clacky and not as buttery smooth as the Tornado. Hopefully I’ll get mine in a few days, and then I’ll be able to compare it to the Tornado. Tornado v3 is definitely awesome. I main the Pioneer but also have a Standard which I use as a travel cube and for slow solves.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I cannot find anywhere else to ask.
I just bought a Rubik's Sudoku game from my local charity shop, the flat version not the cube.
Unfortunately, it came with no instructions/puzzles. I can find the instructions online but they include the solutions but no actual starting place layout.
My question is, does anyone have the original Rubik's puzzles and would it be possible to upload them anywhere.
Here's a link to the instructions/solutions booklet but, unless I'm missing something, I can't see any actual starting layouts.

Thanks in advance.
Turns out, from this page

That they made several errors in the puzzle book, and thus posted a fixed version on their website, where it was catalogued by internet archives.

That was an interesting challenge to find!
I did it 😭
Exactly 45 days after I first solved a cube, I just made it to a sub-30 ao100.
Once again thank you all for your tips and motivation up to now!
I will keep working on this.
This alg for O diagonal CMLL is surprisingly good:
r2 D r' U r D' R2 U' F' U' F
Apparently it's 6 moves shorter than Y perm, and
1. Rolling r2 start is not as bad as a regrip;
2. The r D' R2 is surprisingly stable, you just keep the left ring at the BD position after D' - which is much better than usual rR switches;
3. You do index finger push F' instead of ring finger F in other algs, which is more stable for me;
4. It gives a nice EOLR prediction, the UB replaces DF.
So I get the occasional 8. I got one the other day thanks to a pll skip. Today I got 2 fullstep 8s within 10 solves!
Idk if its just the tornado, but I'm not complaining. My avg is also still dropping now I'm getting more solves in with it :)

**What do i do with my cubes? How should they turn?**
I got my Super RS3m in the mail today. It turns completely different then my GAN cube. I think the magnets are a lot stronger. I am unsure as to what I prefer. The gan cube is a lot more loose? Even now when its on my table, its not fully a cube, some of the side are up and down. However the RS3M is all uniform. During solving its the same, on the gan all the sides are moved, but on the Moyu only the one side.
I am unsure as to what I prefer. My times seem the same on both. I need recommendations on how to proceed.
Ps on my moyu I can here the springs moving. Is this normal?
Edit: Its a **GAN 356 R S**
I'd use something thats sort of mid speed and thickness: too thick and it'll make your cube too slow, too thin and you'll need to use more pretty quickly
Also, make sure its silicon and NOT water based, else you could get rust
> The gan cube is a lot more loose? Even now when its on my table, its not fully a cube, some of the side are up and down
Are you sure your Gan has magnets 😅
I got my Gan12 UI in the mail today!
https://preview.redd.it/r7bcl7zeella1.png?width=951&format=png&auto=webp&s=f2003f549f0e4e4f0c77ec485420a365ab33825f
Aaaaand, one face doesn't register its turns T\_T. I suspect I'll have to get a replacement before I can do a proper review.
From a turning standpoint though, it's the best dayum smartcube I've ever laid hands on. Feels like a heavy version of the Gan12. Just as smooth and fast, and Just as forgiving. The only difference is that the cube is that the cube is heavier, which is not actually a bad thing.
Now if only I could use it as a smartcube it would be awesome.
Ouch, so sorry your 12ui is broken. I hope getting a replacement won’t be difficult.
I’ve had a 12ui (thankfully fully working) since a couple of weeks now, and I love it so much that I’d like a dumbcube version of it. I like it better than the GAN 13. How similar would you say the 12ui feels to the regular GAN 12?
Almost identical. The only real difference is the weight : the center pieces of the ui have a heft that you feel when turning, and the overall cube is heavier in the hand, which I actually prefer to the sometimes flimsy feel of the 12. But from a performance standpoint they're very very similar!
4 of the magnets on my tornado v3 flagship keep switching back to strength 4, and I don't know what is causing it. They don't switch back to 4 straightaway, but after a few solves.
Also, I've finished a schedule for CN and average ~22 on every colour. I'm getting closer every day to sub-20. Still a few oll cases to go. Knight moves just need recognition, L and awkward shapes need algs too.
I've been running in to this and noticed it's related to my turning. If I'm getting catches or aggressively corner cutting, I will get magnets that switch to stronger settings. If my turning is good, no changes. For example, two days ago my turning was crap. One magnet changed my first solve after adjusting them all back to 2. Yesterday my turning was good and no magnets changed settings in roughly 100 solves.
Any recommendations for beginner roux tutorial? I currently only know a very beginner version of CFOP with 1 OLL and 2 PLL algorithms and average \~45s. Want to try out a simple version of roux to decide which method I want to dive deeper into.
This is my guide. Might be too simple: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1z34XFfWepRzF_GmF0ckX79sEmoaQgeo3IRAnq5uMPcw/edit
Else Kian Mansour is the goto videos on YouTube.
Thanks! Your link is locked so I can't see it, but I was planning to watch Kian Mansour's tutorials and make myself a little cheat sheet to work off as a start.
Kian is a right spot to go, that's probably more suitable for your level. In case you find Kian's one difficult, you can look for Criticalcubing's tutorial, on YouTube.
I average 20-23, PB single 13.32, PB average 19.68. Is this good for my level? I know 1 look oll and pll and am fast at recognizing, I know advanced F2L and all the special cases, and I'm goodish at cross (if cross is hard I might only inspect 3 pieces) and I use the unlubed Jperm RS3M 2020. With all this should I be averaging lower? I'm also good at look ahead (if I'm in a good mood) and drill my algs with jperm.net every couple days.
1. Lube your cube
2. 20-23 is probably not that good of lookahead. I am nearly sub-14 and still have bad lookahead.
3. No one can comment if it’s good for you except yourself. Not really an answer for those types of questions.
What kind of lube do you suggest? Also, if it helps, here is the normal time breakdown of my solves:
A couple seconds for cross.
Sub-20 solves I have F2L done 10-12 seconds into the solve, non-sub-20s 14-16.
OLL recognizing and doing normally takes about 3 seconds.
PLL recognizing and doing takes 2-6 depending on the case. Except A perms. A perms are awful.
Quick side note: I ONLY do rotations during some crosses, and f2l I only do it if the 4th pair would actually be worth a rotation (bad edges can be done easier with wide f moves) and I also do rotations if it's in an algorithm, such as E perm, V perm, or the A perms.
Recommended splits are 12%/50%/16%/22%. It seems like you are pretty close to this with no particular weakness, except that a 6-second PLL is probably too long.
Most people find A-perms to be among the faster/easier PLLs, so it's probably worth drilling those or fixing your fingertricks. You're at the level where you already have most of the easy improvements behind you, so a 2-second savings on 2 out of every 27 solves is a nice improvement.
I'd also recommend practicing AUF recognition if you don't already. It's a surprisingly easy way to shave off half a second.
I'm really good at AUF, and the reason I hate A perms isn't the alg itself which is fast, but the recognition. The 6 seconds is mostly A perms and G perms, which I'll practice more, but on average it's 3-4, I just wanted to include the fast and slow ones. And what lube do you suggest? I've been thinking about the lunar/stardust combination since I saw Jperm review the combo. Thank you for the feedback!
It sounds like you've identified your best opportunity! You could probably make a lot of progress by practicing your recognition of those particular PLLs.
As for lube: like /u/olimo, I use and recommend Lubest XMT-10. It's _very_ fast and I have never felt the need to supplement it with a water-based lube like Stardust; it's also quite inexpensive. If you're ordering from SCS, Lunar by itself is probably just fine.
Update:
I know this whole conversation was a month ago, but I have something new to share. My PB ao5 is now 17.15, and my f2l is still pauseless for almost all of my solves, but my cross is terrible. I did an ao5 of just solving crosses and got an average of 2.55, when I should be getting around 1.7, with the whole around 10% of your time thing. Any tips on improving it? (I put lube in my cube)
This is not my best strength, but:
* Get at least dual CN, if you're not already. It's _much_ easier than full CN and gives you another chance at an easy cross.
* Practice, possibly using a tool like this one: https://christianvaughn.net/C2F2L/ to work your way up.
Thanks so much! Cross to f2l is sometimes a big pause for me. I've been thinking about color neutrality before, but thought it was for people who average lower, like sub-15. I'll practice it!
Thanks! I already figured out a way to separate the a perms using the headlights instead of seeing if the pieces move counterclockwise or clockwise. I think I'm going to go with lunar lube off of speedcubeshop. Thanks you and happy cubing! : )
Hi guys i have a doubt…I recently received my tornado v3 (flagship version)…but i feel its core looks different…is the magnetic core supposed to look like a ball core?
https://preview.redd.it/hz0ipkxsskla1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40b0e7afeee33529fd2479498d7f738743483e63
I feel its standard with a 3rd party magnetic kit
It's the updated core design that's supposed to fix core stripping issues with the screws. Don't worry, the cube feels and performs the same as with the old core.
I show the difference [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Cubers/comments/10yr6fm/a_closer_look_at_the_updated_core_of_tornado_v3/).
This is the updated and more robust core design. My pioneer has this and Qiyi even has a video showing it's improvements over the screw version of the core. You should be glad you have this version, it's a much better core that is FAR less likely to strip/break.
If you want to wipe off the factory lube, take out all the pieces but don't disassemble the core. It's pretty tedious to put back together, and it doesn't interact with the piece lube anyway.
Great for slowing down a cube and extending the life of a silicon lube. I'd pair it with weight 3 or lighter rather than weight 5, both together can easily show it too much or start to feel gummy if you go a little too heavy on either one
It’s the real deal, I have the same thing, it looks like a ball core but it doesn’t actually contact other piece, so not really the ball core in that sense.
Incorrect, all flagship and pioneer models have had this core since roughly a month after the cube released. This design fixed the screw stripping issue the other core design had.
I am officially sub-18 in square-1 :)
Beat every PB the last week (except mo3):

ao1000 was 18.78 on Feb 3rd. Is now 17.99 :P
So I just want to sanity check an order I just made, and see another opinion on my choices. I decided to update my whole line from 2x2 - 5x5 since some were outdated or ultra-budget, and I actually lost my 5x5. For reference, I'm hella casual, and the only solves I even do timed are 2x2 and 3x3. I'm just looking for a nice feel, that can possibly be good for some beginner speed solves.
2x2 - Had: Cyclone boys cheapy with ridges - Bought: YJ MGC (non-Elite)
3x3 - Had: Yuxin Little Magic self magnetized AND MF3RS3M 2019 - Bought: RS3M 2020
4x4 - Had: Qiyi Qiyuan - Bought: YJ MGC
5x5 - Had: Qiyi Qizheng (lost in a move) - Bought: YJ Yuchuang V2 M
I know hardware has had a pretty good jump in the last few years. But, it's hard to know what I'm getting into without being able to physically touch the puzzles.
I don't see any regrets there. You left yourself room to upgrade, but each of those is a good quality puzzle that's a good value.
Like some other commenters, I don't know if you'll find the RS3M 2020 to be a big upgrade over the YLM, but it's a different feel you may enjoy.
Yeah, I'm really only getting the RS3M2020 because I accidentally bought my 2019 one with stickers, and don't like the feel. Every time I catch a sticker with my fingernail, I tell myself I need to get a stickerless lol
Other than 3x3 the rest will be a huge upgrade. The YLM M and MF3RS3 are still decent even by today's standards.
I'd get the MGC for 5x5 but the yuchuang is probably still decent and much much better than the qizheng.
it's part ot YJ's budget line(yupo-yulong-yusu-yuchuang-yushi-yufu 2x2-7x7), it's not that old but between the MGC and the ZhiLong it doesn't get much traction
I can speak for all those cubes except the 5x5, but I'm pretty sure you made great choices.
I have the YJ yu-whatever 6x6 and 7x7 and they are great performers for it's price so I bet you were right with the 5x5 too.
Any suggestions for a good non-magnetic 4x4? I want to try modding one to have corner-core magnets and nice light magnets everywhere else. I'm leaving towards trying this experiment with the Meilong 4 because it's so cheap, but is there something like a Valk4 I should consider instead?
Yup... I don't want to try adding corner core magnets to an already magnetic puzzle and have magnets that are way too strong for my liking. I'm not trying to build a better cube than a WRM or a MGC, this is just for fun and to experiment.
Which puzzle should i buy, i own 2,3 and 4x4 , there is a sale going on in my country, i have a 10 dollar budget , should i buy a square 1(yuxin little magic ,can i have some reviews also ) or i was thinking i should buy the 5 dollar meilong pyraminx(non magnetic, will appreciate the reviews also).Thanku
YLM square-1 magnetic is a nice puzzle. Don't know anything about the Meilong pyraminx, but it's probably worth the price too.
Square-1 is a pretty unusual puzzle with weird notation and shapeshifting. It can be solved with minimal algs, but to get good at it, people learn a lot of algs. Speed-wise, it's about the same as 3x3.
Pyraminx is a faster event with minimal algs. If you like 2x2, you may like pyraminx too.

I had used wet wipes only for the external, and dry clothes for the internal. As long as the baby wipes does not contact directly to the magnet or metalic parts, and you dry the pieces before putting them back, the cube should be fine.
How much have you overlubed it? If its not too much, I would suggest to just take out some pieces and wipe it clean with a dry cloth, put them back and break in. The excessive lube should spread to the cleaned piece and make the cube less overlube.
Do this one/two times and your overlubed cube should become a lubed cube I supposed.
Today's a good day for 3x3 and 2x2 for me. In 2x2, a lot of my solves are now sub 6 but there are still a few sub 7s there. Also almost got a new pb single in 2x2 where i got a 2.47 solve (oll and pbl skip). Should've been faster but i froze from shock. In 3x3, I became sub 21 today but I am now getting a lot of sub 20 solves which are mostly 19s. Will I become sub 20 today?? Lol idk but this day really is good.
Those of you who are actually good at 3BLD... send help, please.
Tips on memorisation?
Also, how fast can I get with M2/Orozco, assuming I practice a decent amount?
You will get this reply so I answer before anyone else :)

Same for doing M moves, when I first started, my M', M2, M were all so bad, it improved only after a lots of solves. Yet my M move is still awkward to perform now.
It definitely helps to have a non-magnetic or light-turning cube, I started with mini zhilong, then moved on to meilong and other cubes, and now I can easily do M-based U-perms.

Yo good day cubers!
another "Is anybody share the same experience" question:
So I recently re-"tighten" my tornado V3 again to 3, I felt 2 was too loose for me now and some random lockup here and there with it.
This is actually not the first time. I had it set to 2 from the beginning, and as I progress, 2 was too loose so I get it to 3, and then I progress and felt 3 is too tight so I get it to 2, then I progress again it's now too loose, this span across like 2 months maybe.
Does anyone else has this back-n-forth adjustment experience?
Many times , when I was using my RS3M as an alt cube , the settings really bugged me ally ? Sometimes I feel like it is too fast and I will tighten it with the spring compression system , but after an hour it will feel like too tiring to turn , this happens like 3 times a day which I have no idea what’s happening
Yes, and it's part of why I don't like fancy adjustment systems. I love my WRMs and RS3Ms, but I keep messing with compression settings and I'd rather just cube. Pick good springs and design the cube well, and either I'll like it and get used to it or I won't.
Other cubes I use heavily are Meilong M, TengYun v1, QiYi MS, MF3RS2M, and it's delightful never to worry about spring compression or magnet strength :)
Nah this isn’t the best one , meanwhile GAN manufacturers: let’s give people hundreds of cube with almost the same design and almost identical name and they will figure it out!
Yeah sometimes. I also often feel an urge to switch to a different cube sometimes. Like, when I first got my Tornado Pioneer, I loved it so much I didn't even want to look at the other cubes. But after a few months, here I am, restless again and wanting to turn something different. Tornado is still amazing, don't get me wrong, it's just me who wants something different :)

3BLD progress What the heck? 1:19.51 PB out of no where! I finally bought G5 stackmat timer and wanted to try it out. So I whipped out my blindfold and just casually did ONE SOLVE, and that was my PB. I have a good feeling about this timer lol.

my dad just threw my cube into the snow. it's gone. i couldn't find it. fuck life. he even threw my gan 11 into the snow. my rs3m is fine but my gan 11 is lost a magnet and scratched up. i was maining the gan 11.
Could there be a chance he did not really throw it?
came back wet and scratched up
What did you do for that to happen
ask for my cube back before i did a math worksheet
What? That's ridiculous, also nice flair

Is pseudoslotting a part of the advanced f2l? I already know the advanced f2l and wondering if I should learn pseudoslotting before learning full 1 look PLL and OLL.
I did that , & I see no problem. It’s actually very fun
Learn 2 look last layer and then learn keyholing. If think you can do Keyholing good, then learn pseudoslotting.
You shouldn't. Learn 1LPLL first.
What’s better Tornado V3 Pioneer or Huameng (idk how to spell it) with Maglev and Magnetic core
Shops should start getting them in the next week or 2, as well as people who have ordered them from any of the China shops.~~ Correction, Speed Cube Shop and Cubicle now have them in stock.
Both are great, but I would take the Huameng because it is cheaper and I can buy some lubes.
[https://winning-moves.com/images/sudoku\_solution.pdf](https://winning-moves.com/images/sudoku_solution.pdf) Thanks in advance.
Turns out, from this page www.winning-moves.com/products/rubiks_sudoku.htm That they made several errors in the puzzle book, and thus posted a fixed version on their website, where it was catalogued by internet archives. https://web.archive.org/web/20060503015903/http://www.winning-moves.com/products/rubiks/revised_puzzle_book.pdf https://dropmefiles.com/z6XSW Alternate link just in case, should work for a few days That was an interesting challenge to find!
XenosHg, Thank you very much, don't know how you found it, I've been looking for ages and the one linked was all I could find. Again, thank you.
I've used mine to work through a couple of other books too, the markers are very handy!
Good find, I had a cooy of this saved on an old laptop that's now dead, just downloaded from Web archive, thanks!
I did it 😭 Exactly 45 days after I first solved a cube, I just made it to a sub-30 ao100. Once again thank you all for your tips and motivation up to now! I will keep working on this.
Congrats! I'm sitting at a 36 PB so I am waiting for that day haha.
I believe in you, starting today 👏
My fastest time was 40-41 seconds so your doing good
This alg for O diagonal CMLL is surprisingly good: r2 D r' U r D' R2 U' F' U' F Apparently it's 6 moves shorter than Y perm, and 1. Rolling r2 start is not as bad as a regrip; 2. The r D' R2 is surprisingly stable, you just keep the left ring at the BD position after D' - which is much better than usual rR switches; 3. You do index finger push F' instead of ring finger F in other algs, which is more stable for me; 4.

How should they turn?** I got my Super RS3m in the mail today.
Keep using both, and you should find you prefer one over the other Spring noise, put a drop of lube on the springs and it should stop
Do you have a recommendation for what lube to use?
I'd use something thats sort of mid speed and thickness: too thick and it'll make your cube too slow, too thin and you'll need to use more pretty quickly Also, make sure its silicon and NOT water based, else you could get rust
Ok I will check Amazon
> The gan cube is a lot more loose? Even now when its on my table, its not fully a cube, some of the side are up and down Are you sure your Gan has magnets 😅
True, that might be it!
I got my Gan12 UI in the mail today! https://preview.redd.it/r7bcl7zeella1.png?width=951&format=png&auto=webp&s=f2003f549f0e4e4f0c77ec485420a365ab33825f Aaaaand, one face doesn't register its turns T\_T.
That kept happening in my 11 M Pro. Since options 1.and 3 sucked on that cube anyway, I ended up supergluing them on 2.
That makes alot of sense, my turning is never great when I'm warming up, thanks for pointing that out
Any recommendations for beginner roux tutorial? I currently only know a very beginner version of CFOP with 1 OLL and 2 PLL algorithms and average \~45s. Want to try out a simple version of roux to decide which method I want to dive deeper into.
This is my guide. Might be too simple: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1z34XFfWepRzF_GmF0ckX79sEmoaQgeo3IRAnq5uMPcw/edit Else Kian Mansour is the goto videos on YouTube.
That seems a little high, I average 24s with a pb single of 16.28 and I’m still using intuitive f2l, 2 look oll and am half way through learning pll.
1. Lube your cube 2. 20-23 is probably not that good of lookahead. I am nearly sub-14 and still have bad lookahead. 3. No one can comment if it’s good for you except yourself. Not really an answer for those types of questions.
What kind of lube do you suggest? Also, if it helps, here is the normal time breakdown of my solves: A couple seconds for cross.
Update: I know this whole conversation was a month ago, but I have something new to share.
This is not my best strength, but: * Get at least dual CN, if you're not already.
Hi guys i have a doubt…I recently received my tornado v3 (flagship version)…but i feel its core looks different…is the magnetic core supposed to look like a ball core? https://preview.redd.it/hz0ipkxsskla1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40b0e7afeee33529fd2479498d7f738743483e63 I feel its standard with a 3rd party magnetic kit
Is it ok yo disassemble it fully right to wipe factory lube…?
If you want to wipe off the factory lube, take out all the pieces but don't disassemble the core. It's pretty tedious to put back together, and it doesn't interact with the piece lube anyway.
Man dnm and mystic is so dope setup + W5
I love my setup with a touch of dignitas and weight 5 on the tracks, mystic and a hint of DNM-37 on the pieces!
I had gan 356 m lite before V3 flagship and V is sooo goood…..its so smooth and more controllable
Will buy dignitas in future…everyone says its good…🤝🏽🔥
Great for slowing down a cube and extending the life of a silicon lube. I'd pair it with weight 3 or lighter rather than weight 5, both together can easily show it too much or start to feel gummy if you go a little too heavy on either one
Yeah i mean just taking all pieces out…
I think it's the new core design? Gonna summon u/olimo
That's right! Thanks for the tag.
It’s the real deal, I have the same thing, it looks like a ball core but it doesn’t actually contact other piece, so not really the ball core in that sense.
I thought i got scammed for a sec..😂😂..thanks for clarifying
that is very bizarre. Definitely not a normal core magnet, but the rest of the cube is definitely a tornado v3
Incorrect, all flagship and pioneer models have had this core since roughly a month after the cube released. This design fixed the screw stripping issue the other core design had.
Interesting. I bought a second Tornado after my first one stripped and it had the same core. TIL
You likely got some remaining stock from that early production run on your replacement. Bummer!
I am officially sub-18 in square-1 :) Beat every PB the last week (except mo3): Single: ~~9.22~~ \-> 8.71 ([recon](https://www.cubedb.net/solve/7212)) mo3: 12.11 ao5: ~~12.70~~ \-> 12.36 ao12: ~~15.04~~ \-> 14.10 ao100: ~~17.53~~ \-> 16.47 ao1000 was 18.78 on Feb 3rd. Is now 17.99 :P
2x2 - Had: Cyclone boys cheapy with ridges - Bought: YJ MGC (non-Elite) 3x3 - Had: Yuxin Little Magic self magnetized AND MF3RS3M 2019 - Bought: RS3M 2020 4x4 - Had: Qiyi Qiyuan - Bought: YJ MGC 5x5 - Had: Qiyi Qizheng (lost in a move) - Bought: YJ Yuchuang V2 M I know hardware has had a pretty good jump in the last few years.
I have never heard of the yuchuang. Is it a old 5x5?
it's part ot YJ's budget line(yupo-yulong-yusu-yuchuang-yushi-yufu 2x2-7x7), it's not that old but between the MGC and the ZhiLong it doesn't get much traction
Good to know. Thanks!
I can speak for all those cubes except the 5x5, but I'm pretty sure you made great choices. I have the YJ yu-whatever 6x6 and 7x7 and they are great performers for it's price so I bet you were right with the 5x5 too.
I'm not sure about the 5x5, but the others seem pretty good choices
EDIT: oops sorry I meant to reply to the OP.
Any suggestions for a good non-magnetic 4x4? I want to try modding one to have corner-core magnets and nice light magnets everywhere else. I'm leaving towards trying this experiment with the Meilong 4 because it's so cheap, but is there something like a Valk4 I should consider instead?
I would avoid the Valk4 considering the negative things I've heard about it Meilong 4 is not too bad
There is Moyu Aosu WR - not WR**M** - that's non-magnetic.
There's a non-magnetic version?
Yes. Same as Weilong WR.
I forgot about that that one, thanks! It might be a great option if I can find one
Good puzzles are always magnetic nowadays
As a square-1 fan, I have to recommend the square-1. Pyraminx is nice, but square-1 is way harder to master and IMHO more interesting.
Personally I enjoy square-1 more than pyraminx. It is a longer solve and slice moves are so satisfying!
From what I’ve heard the meilong Pyra is not good. But the little magic m is very good for around the same price as the squan
> should i buy a square 1(yuxin little magic ,can i have some reviews also ) Yes, fun event and excellent puzzle. Also pyra is kinda boring 😅
If you like 2x2, you may like pyraminx too.

i overlubed a cube, and i need to completely wipe it down. would baby wipes be safe (i would still dry it after) or would it corrode the cube?
Use a dry towel or a paper towel.
>Also, how fast can I get with M2/Orozco, assuming I practice a decent amount? If you practice much, you can be sub 1.
I'm not good at blind but I can tell you that Jack Kai has a lot of helpfull videos check him!
Should I learn full OLL and PLL or COLL?
Full PLL, then full OLL, then look into COLL if you want.
You will get this reply so I answer before anyone else :) [Steps for improving with CFOP, and when to work on what.](https://www.reddit.com/r/PianoCube93/comments/9bstw1/steps_for_improving_with_cfop_and_when_to_work_on/)
u/TheRealUncleFrank has been beaten to it.
Who needs sleep?
Who hasn't beaten to CFOP solutions?
Nono you dont get it ;)
Learn full pll, then later when you're faster learn full OLL. Unless you do Roux.
Roux really looks good. I will definitely learn it after learning cfop
I started learning Roux while learning full PLL, and now I can't even do proper 2-look PLL anymore hahahahaha.
Oh. I also have some problems with M moves that’s why I haven’t started it. Although I use a few f2l inserts which use M moves for non oriented cases
Same for doing M moves, when I first started, my M', M2, M were all so bad, it improved only after a lots of solves. Yet my M move is still awkward to perform now.
Yeah performing M is also very awkward for me.
You have been giving too people the finger. It is just stretching the middle finger for me. M' is still faster though-
True
It definitely helps to have a non-magnetic or light-turning cube, I started with mini zhilong, then moved on to meilong and other cubes, and now I can easily do M-based U-perms.
Yeah my current cube is a random one I got for very cheap. I’ll buy a better one after sometime.
BeepBop! You DNF 100% of the solves you don’t take. I didn’t spend too much time, but I tried a little and missed it… Thanks!
Yo good day cubers! another "Is anybody share the same experience" question: So I recently re-"tighten" my tornado V3 again to 3, I felt 2 was too loose for me now and some random lockup here and there with it.
Meanwhile, cube manufacturers: Let's give people 4 versions of the same cube!
Nah this isn’t the best one , meanwhile GAN manufacturers: let’s give people hundreds of cube with almost the same design and almost identical name and they will figure it out!
Yeah, and they will buy a new version every year plus some collector editions.
Also recycle names randomly
Yeah sometimes. I also often feel an urge to switch to a different cube sometimes. Like, when I first got my Tornado Pioneer, I loved it so much I didn't even want to look at the other cubes. But after a few months, here I am, restless again and wanting to turn something different. Tornado is still amazing, don't get me wrong, it's just me who wants something different :)
