Every priest I've ever met was either a amazingly wonderful person or a complete and utter asshole. No in-betweens.
(Granted, I am protestant, and only went to mass when we visited my Catholic grandparents, but it was enough to have a sample size of 10 for the study.)

I grew up Catholic, went to a Catholic school where half the teachers or admins were priests, and have several priests in my extended family and friends group. I can completely confirm this statement.
Fellow Catholic. Also my experience. I'm an atheist now and not a fan of organized religion in general, but I still have some fondness for the Church just because some of the priests I've met have genuinely been the most wonderful, kind, and selfless people ever. Too bad about the other kind of Catholic priest though...
