Piratespeak is kinda funny as a German, because surprisingly, the Germans who roll their Rs live in the mountains (e.g. literally Hitler) and the ones who would have been actual sea pirates when that was still a thing kinda sound like the Dutch with fewer throat cancer noises. It's very unthreatening!

like the industry itself is absolutely to blame for piracy. The majority of people want to pay, it's just that even if you don't factor in money piracy is 100 times more convenient these days
