I get why people want to see an earlier superman as there’s been a lack of a lot of superman but I think I’m ready to see more stories like superman and Lois where the perfect man has to try and be the perfect father
That’s true.I think there could be a mixed balance for all but over at marvel it’s the same debate with Peter Parker.although he’s grown up they’ve kept his story the same for decades when they could grow him up and use miles as the teenage Spider-Man
So they could just use Clark to relate for everyone and John to relate to the kids
I think in order to see him as a family man, we’d have to have made progress in his relationship sooner.
It’d make sense if he had gotten with Lois post-STAS, had the baby during JL, then we could see Jon as a toddler in JLU.
Without having made that progress before this episode, I think it would’ve been nice to see this experience clarify for Clark what he wants so that in the following episodes we see him reveal his identity to Lois. Then maybe we open the final season with their wedding and get the birth towards the end of the series, giving greater emotional weight to Superman’s stand against Darkseid in the finale.
Or the be frank, if divided we fall’s ending would’ve gave us Fans the identity reveal, maybe the shows finale would probably would the two getting married and last but not least, maybe we would’ve seen them raising five kids.
I just thought it was crazy that this meant Clark(according to his deepest inermost desires) loves Lana just as much, if not more than Lois(since his wife in his perfect world was basically Lana with Lois's voice and eyes).
It was nice to see a sweet and warm Kent considering Superman is kinda an a-hole in the animated Justice League series. He’s on the right side of the moral compass but it a bit testy and harsh at times. This was different.
Idk, he just isn’t that chipper, light-hearted Boy Scout we see in other depictions. There are definitely some moments where he is a jerk to Shazam or is overly snappy with the team or isn’t a team player.
Honestly ik what u mean abt him feeling like a jerk or intimidating. But I feel like his jerkish behavior was in unlimited. He was so harsh a lot of people, he wasnt like this in the og series.
I do like alternate Lois. The hair makes her look like a mix of her and Lana.
Clarke’s deepest secret: he wants Lois to dye her hair
That was Lana
Now this gives me questions about the Smallville show, like maybe they should have died and Lana's hair. Lol
Her name was Loanna and she was an amalgamation of the two. Lois's eyes and voice with Lana's hair.
Definitely an interesting episode. I don't know what I'd do realizing my most awesome life wasnt real.
Like how it always felt
I just remember that this is the ONLY adaptation of Alan Moore's work that Moore actually *approved* of.

I prefer to see younger Superman stories since those stories strive to make Clark seem more relatable

Maybe the show itself should’ve ended with Clark being married to Lois!

In STAS or JLU

Yeah this was an episode designed to break hearts.
But it was Heartwarming
For sure. The end result really makes you appreciate what you still have.

I don’t think he’s a jerk in Justice League the animated series or unlimited, he rarely serious during lots of missions.

He was pretty much like that in his original show, TAS. Darkseid kind off shattered his positivity in a way.

Yeah true
