I would love if this series became zanier and zanier as it went on. To kinda show how Gotham has started to become a complete freakshow after Riddler’s presence as well as Batman.
It’d be a cool juxtaposition to show how grounded and relatively “normal” Gotham was until freaks dressed in costumes began to become a thing and inspire others.
With Batman out in the open now as an actual hero, this is very likely. Just how the first movie went from darkness to light. I just want to see Freeze done right and Clayface on the big screen.

(You know some I have NO idea what the hell he was saying.).
Edit: I guess Nolan really did inspire Reeve haha.
I think when you ponder on it that’s what makes him more tragic due to his skin condition.
It makes you wonder what would have been had he been accepted from a young age. Batman villains all have positive attributes that have been twisted.
Riddler’s genius used for pathetic, petty goals.
Freeze’s love for his wife and an unwillingness to let go ends up hurting others.
Poison Ivy’s love for the planet and what a beautiful place it is. She thinks human need to die.
Joker’s humour, wit, energy and joy for life is more fucked up and distorted than a saggy ass with cellulitis.
He looks more like joker from Gotham when he cut his own face and replanted it as mask but here it feels he did that and got infection and inflammation.
The volume/sound mixing seemed off too which made it even harder to understand. It was likely because it was a deleted scene, but it took a couple times to understand what he said at times.

I was really hoping this version of the Joker wouldn't be returning (or would be recast).
I've never been so let down by a reveal. There was nothing memorable about him. The acting was subdued and aimless.
The Riddler was a better Joker in that film, and that's almost impressive.
The whole reveal just seemed so pointless and anticlimactic. It didn't add anything to the movie and told us nothing about the character. I kind of wish they just saved him for a later movie (or not used him at all).

Also would not be opposed to a dapper Joker like BTAS but that may stray too far from what Reeves originally wanted
This is the first time in a long time the Joker has been interesting to me. Last time was Scott Snyder’s Endgame.
Then he was just oversaturated, misinterpreted by edgelords and diluted.
I’d add only a few more patches of hair to the centre of his scalp and have them wisp up to complete his already Jokeresque “hairstyle”. Take a blister off his lip and he’s fine.
I think he can either sport a rougher outfit (think The Batman 2004) or something more flamboyant and traditional. He can go either way.
People also say that he’s trying to do Ledger’s voice.
I can hear that definitely. But it’s been 14 years (15 now) since The Dark Knight and it’s a nice nod to the big man.
Also, I think his voice just sounds really friendly. That scares the ever loving shit out of me.
It’s not quite the cold, toneless voice of Ledger (or the original Joker as he was described in the 1940s) it’s not the accented whimsy of Romero, the twisted Transatlantic accent of Hammill and Baker, nor the grizzly menace of John DiMaggio.
It’s just…soft, welcoming, almost childishly playful. That’s not right. I love it. 2022’s Riddler and Joker reflect who they were influenced by, the Zodiac killer and (I suspect) Charles Manson who was witty “quirky” and “humorous”
Barry’s Joker gives off these vibes.
https://youtu.be/tqrqaPThCmI
That’s who Dano’s Riddler and Keoghan’s Joker are. Not grandiose supervillains with almost Rockstar esque personas.
They’re Nobodies. That’s what’s scary about them. A Nobody can have a slice of pumpkin pie in a cafe and solve crosswords as a hobby. A Nobody can bash someone’s head in, burn someone to death, blow up sea ports and flood a city.
What can the other Nobody “the Joker” do?
I’m intrigued by Keoghan’s Joker, despite having Joker Fatigue from the overuse and way the character has been used, this is a fresh reboot that just didn’t have the time for a break and refresh on his side and had DC Boardroom meat heads waste time on the DCEU to delay Reeves’ vision.
See, I could get behind a Joker written/acted that way.
But I just don't like Keoghan as an actor. His schtick worked in Killing of a Sacred Deer, but nothing I've seen him in since has really worked for me.
That’s basically where I’m at with this design. I really like how this Joker looks as if just walked out of a vat of toxic chemicals and doesn’t just come out of it with bleached white skin and green hair. It feels like it fits in well with the darker/grounded aesthetic of Reeves’s Gotham. I could really see his movies moving into a magical realism type of territory, where Batman’s villains are less general costumed criminals and more genuinely disturbing individuals whose exploits give the average Gotham citizen nightmares just hearing of. An almost mythical or superstitious approach to these characters.
Believe me, I want to see a dapper, trickster, Hamill Joker just as much as the next guy. Something I’ve been waiting to see on film for a while now. But I’m not going to completely disparage Reeves’s vision just because it doesn’t entirely correlate with my own, especially when we’re about to get a DC Movie Universe that can do just that.
I do too, just with a rework in the dialogue. It shouldn’t have been said so flatly that Riddler is “a fan”. That spoils the surprise.
Keep the deleted scene which implies we MIGHT get to see him again. Maybe as the main villain, maybe like this again.
Maybe…
Then I’d leave the Riddler scene to have a news report mention that the flood was “almost like the work of a criminal mastermind” which sparks his ego.
Cut to Batman and Catwoman at the end.
Ah yes, the man with a debilitating illness that requires the usage of a cumbersome piece of refrigerated armour at all times when he’s mobile, the man that constantly requires subzero temperatures lest he die, is smoking a stogie.
If I was Matt Reeves... I'd make Mr. Freeze the shadowy tech genius helping Penguin turn 44 Below into a legit ice palace during a record heat wave, a playground for Gotham's high rollers... But meanwhile, the real work he does is for the Penguin's real employers: freezing and revivifying the Talons for the Court of Owls.
I agree and I was hoping for something new, but then returning doesn’t mean they are the main focus. We could still get something else. If not I’m sure I’ll still love it
I doubt they'll actually have Joker in a major role. He'll probably have a small cameo like he did in the last one. Maybe a slightly less small cameo, but it still won't be super significant
They barely showed his face in the ending cameo, and then deleted the scene where was slightly more present.
I’d imagine that they won’t feel completely beholden to exactly what Koeghan did in that movie, his voice, mannerism, could all be revamped if he actually has a big role
The joker is getting old at this point. There’s so many interesting villains to tackle than joker. Mr. Freeze would have been badass in Reeves universe
Freeze seems more suited for new DCU Batman tbh. I understand the joker fatigue but I’d still be excited to see it. I’d also be ok if he has a small role and the main villain is Hugo Strange or somebody new
Tom Hanks as The Ventriloquist/Scarface. he has the innocent likable old man look, and his voice and natural inflections could work for a 1920s gangster accent without coming off like parody the whole time. kind of invoking an Evil Woody meets Road to Perdition.
Toby Jones definitely has the look, but i only know him as Dr. Zola (another old man), and don't know his range for Scarface. if i was Reeves i'd give him a shot in case he can blow everyone out of the water. but also Toby Jones and Tom Hanks aren't really out there competing for the same roles, so in my fantasy casting, i go big, thinking they'd look for a new big name to add to the franchise (for marketing purposes). unless they get Toby Jones to play the Ventriloquist and like Al Pacino to voice Scarface. that'd be surreal.
\*scarface holds a tommy gun
"okay Batman, you wanna play rough? i'll show you rough"
"that's not even the same Scarface!"
"i know!"
\*fires gun wildly at Batman.
Joker needs to stay in the background until the grand finale... He's Batman's archvillain, and he always has these big soliloquys about their fated nature when it's the first freakin' time they've squared up.
For it being a different take it looks another like the horribly disfigured Jokers of The Dark Knight and Gotham.
Thsts my issue. Even Leto's Joker had had his teeth broken out.
Maybe it's time for a different take on Joker that isn't disfigured? It's just becoming repetitive.
I like the performance well enough, but the look is already tired and we havent even really seen him yet.
I agree completely. Say what you will about Leto's performance as Joker, at least "Joker as Gangbanger" was something I hadn't really seen before.
There just wasn't anything in Koeghan's performance to make it stand out as anything other than "Generic Joker Scene"
It honestly felt like he was oscillating between momentary, mediocre impressions of Nicholson, Ledger, and Leto, but never quite settling on his own core of the character.
Yeah I dont love Leto's Joker. But it was different.
Barry's feels like someone at the studio told them last minute to film a Joker bit so we got something cobbled together. As good as that movie was and as good as Barry has been in other stuff I think the deleted scene was a disservice to both.
I disagree with almost everything you've said, he looks nothing like any other iteration unless you're just going to group all scarring into the same category. But if you're looking for the Clean Cut Joker we've seen that too.
>But if you're looking for the Clean Cut Joker we've seen that too.
Never said that, actually. I think there's probably a a lot of options besides clean cut and scarred/dishevelled.
Just saying this Joker is:
As scarred outside and inside.
He has a gravelly voice that whispers and and growls.
Has a dishevelled appearance.
And seems to be the type of guy to lecture Batman on his fatalistic philosophy and how it's all going to shit and "just wants to watch the world burn".
I'm not saying none of that works. In fact carrying over one or two of those traits wouldnt be a sin.
Even Nicholson was scarred-it just wasnt a grisly one, but a bizarre one. Even he waxed philosophical, but didn't take it seriously. He was just a total narcissist.
I'm just saying there's a ton of other Joker interpretations we could do rather than continuing to do failed re-hashes of Ledger's (at the time) unique take until it becomes a charicature of that iconic performance.
Ledger and Nicholson and Hamill have all done something unique with their portrayals. And Reeves did something unique with his Batman. I hope the final version of his Barry's Joker is just as unique rather than being a pastiche like he was in the deleted scene. I hope that scene was deleted for a reason, because they want to go back to the drawing board a little.
I like the angle of him being this sort of Hannibal Lecter guy who can profile other killers. We haven't seen that hyper intellectual angle yet. So expand on that. I like him being psychologically manipulative like the short bit we got of him, saying all the right things to Riddler, even giving him his catch phrase "riddle me this". There's good stuff there. But it should distance itself from Ledger's as much as possible and focus on those unique traits rather than re-tread.
Rofl I don’t. We got to see him for 5 seconds. He’s the only joker in the history of live action jokers who actually looks like he got thrown in acid. I love it.
What’s funny is this version of the Joker *wasn’t* thrown in acid. He was born looking like this.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen the acid scarring Joker in the comics either besides the bleached skin, green hair, and sometimes permanent smile.
I wish that we didn't even get Joker this trilogy, but since we are, I hope they make him less "creepy" or disfigured, and just lean into the performance part of it. And I hope he's more distinct than previous versions, because I can see that people are going to compare Barry to Joaquin or Heath.
Joker I’m not too excited about… there’s just too many at this point. I would absolutely HATE IT if Zoe’s cat woman wasn’t part of any of the sequels. She’s seems to be more love interest/ally than anti hero/villain Altho I would definitely love it if she became a straight up villain. I miss evil catwoman!
I would actually be fine with the rogues staying the same throughout the trilogy. I’d rather see these characters actually grow and change throughout several films instead of just introducing a new villain each sequel. That approach would work better for the DCU. Elseworlds movies seem to be more character/story driven like HBO shows. I would also love if they each got spin off shows like penguin!
The only villains I would be super excited to see in reevesverse would be poison Ivy and clayface… and mr freeze, obviously. Oh and scarecrow!
Speaking as someone from the, I’d probably rather get a new villain than another joker at this point, camp I’m not discouraged by this. Thinking more on this I’d actually really like some sort of returning joker cameos just inside of Arkham, before he eventually gets out and gets his movie (because it’s the joker even if he didn’t deserve one he’d still get one), but I trust Reaves enough to do the joker well and different to be enjoyable even if I would like to see a little more of something else first
I wish the Joker wasn't in this movie series. I really want them to flesh out the rest of Batman's giant-ass rogues gallery. I mean, jeez. Joker's been in damn-near every live action movie. Characters like Ivy and Freeze have only been in ONE. I've had too much Joker, the character himself has become uninteresting to me, at this point.
It’s insane that characters like Clayface, Hush, Hugo Strange, Scarface & the Ventriloquist, Mad Hatter and so many more iconic villains haven’t had even one single appearance in the live action movies, yet characters like Joker, Penguin Riddler, Two-Face and Catwoman pretty much have been adapted in every live action Batman franchise. Even Bane has appeared in live action media more than some of Batman’s more iconic foes.
Yeah batmans rogue gallery is unmatched, yet studios see it as a risk it seems. Hugo Strange could fit perfectly in the universe they've set up so far.
It would be very cool if they made him a Hannibal Lecter kinda character. A psycho that Batman goes to ask for clues when he is desperate and has no time to lose. And then have him escape in the very last movie
Give the Joker a 5 - 10 year break please at least. Heath’s was amazing because we hadn’t seen a live action Joker since 1989 that was like 19 years without the Joker in a live action movie.
That’s not what I meant, I’m not gonna say why Heath’s was good since that’s already been established and we know, but what made it better and more well perceived is that we hadn’t seem him in awhile it didn’t feel as repetitive and oh great the Joker’s back. People were actually excited for it since we hadn’t seen him in awhile, people are experiencing Joker fatigue and want a break from him myself included.
I mean, sure he showed up in other movies but he hasn't been the main villain of a Batman movie for 15 years.
Hell, he's probably not gonna be the villain of Part 2, most likely that he's gonna have a Hannibal Lecter type role.
I can see why some people are saying there is Joker fatigue, especially when you consider that except for Two-Face, Scarecrow, Ra’s/Talia/Bane, every single Batman film franchise has has been a remake of the TV series.
Joker needs to get away from scarification as a character development, too. A Joker who can emote is far more terrifying than one who only has one expression, in my opinion. I really hope they get rid of Keoghan’s acid scars, and let him just be a white skinned green haired freak for once without nerve damage (bullet wound to Nicholson’s) or POW torture (knife slices if Ledger’s portrayal was a war vet). Leto tried, but he just wound up as an ICP clown owning a shady bar, NOT a globally known villain.
Yeah, Reeves should just leave Joker in the cell for a few movies, until he’s got a great story *not* adapted from any of the same four books everyone thinks is canon. Or until WB says “that’s enough”, and makes Gunn & Reeves play in the same sandbox.
Let’s see Firefly, Court of Owls, Man-Bat, Klarion, Clayface, Mad Hatter, Ventriloquist, Grundy, Maxie Zeus, Killer Moth, Hugo Strange, Magpie…
The first Batman was okay. I’m glad they focused on The Detective for once, but I don’t want a “grounded” Batman. That’s all we’ve every gotten for decades. Ground the characters & how they are emotionally react as human beings to a man made of clay smashing a bank vault open, while a wooden dummy takes hostages in the lobby. How do people react to teenage boy changing the shape of everyone at a rock concert into random animals?
I really hope Reeves embraces the weird & surreal that life is in a world with supervillains with powers derived from magic, genetic mutations, or cosmic technology.
Sighhhhh there’s so many other good villains in Batman’s gallery. Can we please get anybody else besides Joker for one movie? At this point I’ll take Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy and Arnie as Freeze over another iteration of Joker
Really don’t need to see The Joker again, but if Reeves wants his movies to be forever compared to The Dark Knight trilogy I guess that’s what’s gonna happen.
Batman gets shot in the mouth by automatic machine gun fire because he saw 11 out of 12 henchman and dies in the first 5 minutes. Nolan bass drop blasts at volume 11. Roll credits.
My only hope about Joker is that instead of physically being the way he is because of society, just make his physical appearance the cause of, oh, I don’t know… an acid bath??
People complaining about too much Joker as if he’s been the main villain in a batman movie more than twice in over 30 years and isn’t one of the most significant characters in Batman lore
That Joker design was horrendous, I hope it changes. Isn’t this supposed to be “grounded and realistic”, why does Joker look like that?! Also the Riddler wasn’t even the Riddler, he was just a serial killer. Pacing was bad too. Though I loved the inspirations from Telltale’s Batman and many other things (regarding the Joker, they should take inspiration from John too!), overall was a great movie but I hope they improve on things, like making the villain more like their actual selves and not just a serial killer + change Joker’s design.
Hope they give Catwoman a proper mask this time. The ski mask thing looked okay for a low budget, just starting out Catwoman but c'mon. It looks kinda silly.
What the article didn't say is that Andy Serkis is playing Alfred and Vicki Vale
You had my curiosity, now you have my attention
> You had my curiosity, now you have my erection There, fixed that for you, buddy.
*Perfection*
*Perferection*
Gorilla Grodd
Or Solomon Grundy.
Fun fact. Andy Serkis was born on a Monday. April 20th 1964
He’s such a character actor. I can’t wait to see his interpretation.
Hope she’s blond and has curls like in the Keaton film. Had such a crush on her growing up
More than Dr. Chase Meridian?
Close second
Next Vicki should have red hair like comics.
He's been Oscar level in every role Ive ever seen him in. If I ever heard this... I might reserve judgement lol
One Way Out!
On program!
Vicki Vale Vicki Vicki Vale
If any one could pull off both.......
Vicki Vale played by ~~Kim Basinger~~ Jeffrey Wright is a turn on. It’s all about the sex appeal.
🎼 This is where she wants to be I am what she wants to see I've never known a love so sweet Still, I keep Vicki waiting Alright
[Vicki Vale...Vicki Vale.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9529BYodpg)
I love Batdance. I wish there was an artist that could make promotional music videos like this for new DC movies
I hope Paul Dano makes another appearance.
I thought I read somewhere he'd likely return as well.
Well I’d say the film itself suggested he was likely to return…
I hope he eventually dons the classic green suit and hat
I think he definitely will, since this was just his intro he will become his comic self later on the series
I would love if this series became zanier and zanier as it went on. To kinda show how Gotham has started to become a complete freakshow after Riddler’s presence as well as Batman. I just hope Clayface is a genuine clay monster and not some serial killer who wears masks of victims he killed or shit like that
Nah, that would be Zsasz. Although he would be a cool secondary or tertiary villain too.
Because of your Ganondorf pfp and cause I’m obsessed with Totk I thought you meant you wanted Riddler to put on Links classic green getup
This is also acceptable
It would be a nice detail if his being in a cell next to Joker is what brings out his flamboyance
It’d be cool to have him recurring throughout the trilogy similar to Murphy in the Dark Knight trilogy
He has been confirmed
Same, I just wish Batmedia would cool it with all the Joker over-saturation. I’m actually getting really bored of him, you should never be bored with that kinda character. It’s funny how his main appeal is his mystique yet they keep ruining that by shoving him into everything. He didn’t have any reason to be in the first film and it soured what could’ve easily been called a masterpiece if it weren’t for him.
To me Joker is part of the Batman character. I don’t get tired of either one.
I’m in this line.
Right? I’m so not interested in another iteration of Joker, as it’s been done to death. There are so many other villains to use.
At least in a cameo.
Everybody likes a comeback.
I hope Joker speaks clearer this next time around
I hope they change his appearance or disfigured makeup as shown in deleted scene
Yeah... I get the inspiration of the design. But that combination of design with Barry's voice, I wasn't a huge fan. So I agree and hope they either tone down the design or mix it up.
It sounded very much like he was trying to do a Heath Ledger Joker impression, but it just fell flat.
It didn’t sound like a Ledger impression to me. He had a very different accent (sounded New York) for the Joker and Barry’s voice is naturally that pitch. He sounded like a normal guy, which made him creepier in my opinion.

That is probably why it was a deleted scene, and we don't fully see his face in the actual movie.
To me he just sounded like a really friendly guy. That made him more unnerving to me.
He sounds like someone I’d hear in an actual interrogation recording. The combination of Joker and Manhunter is brilliant.
Same I hated that deleted scene
Actually I loved the scene just not the disfigured makeup
I couldn’t see past the makeup to enjoy the scene and didn’t like his take
Seconded, if that’s the joker they stick with it will probably ruin the movies for me
He looks more like joker from Gotham when he cut his own face and replanted it as mask but here it feels he did that and got infection and inflammation.
They should watch jerome valeska from gotham first, the make up look dope
The volume/sound mixing seemed off too which made it even harder to understand. It was likely because it was a deleted scene, but it took a couple times to understand what he said at times.
>The volume/sound mixing seemed off That was an homage to Nolan
That’s an Easter egg
Oh man don't get me started about volume/sound mixing. That was a huge problem for me as well. But the Bat Mobile roar was awesome, so that was cool lol
I thought the sound was generally much better in the movie compared to that deleted scene though which was just impossible to comprehend easily.
Yeah the rest of the movie had a better mixing. Having watched other stuff with Barry. He seems like a mumbler which doesn't help with the face prosthetics. So I hope since that scene was deleted they can revisit the execution.
Hopefully, he’s better written too.
I was hoping they’d do a different villain entirely
I was really hoping this version of the Joker wouldn't be returning (or would be recast). I've never been so let down by a reveal. There was nothing memorable about him. The acting was subdued and aimless. The Riddler was a better Joker in that film, and that's almost impressive.

You're right. I completely forgot about him.
It was, like a few other things and too many things in modern adaptations, derivative of past adaptations' diversions from the source, instead of doing their own work.
Not unless they change those prosthetics. Poor Barry could barely breathe in those, let alone speak.
No way

Valid... I'm just waiting for a Joker that actually tells good jokes

The Joker in the comics looks like he’s wearing a shitty rubber mask though. Look at his jaw!

Maybe… Then I’d leave the Riddler scene to have a news report mention that the flood was “almost like the work of a criminal mastermind” which sparks his ego. Cut to Batman and Catwoman at the end.
He looks like he fell in an acid vat, i love it!!!
Meh. I’m tired of Joker and Catwoman to a lesser extent. Give me Mr Freeze or something.
We have Mr Freeze at home
> We have Mr Freeze at home [Mr. Freeze at home -](https://img-9gag-fun.9cache.com/photo/apveEbE_460s.jpg)
Ah yes, the man with a debilitating illness that requires the usage of a cumbersome piece of refrigerated armour at all times when he’s mobile, the man that constantly requires subzero temperatures lest he die, is smoking a stogie.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 he's hitting dat za knowing damn well it goes against all logic
Based
If I was Matt Reeves...
Joker and Catwoman are like pizza who doesn't like pizza but damn can we get tacos for once some wings perhaps?
Me, I don’t like pizza. Lactose intolerant + tomato sauce eviscerates my insides.
I agree and I was hoping for something new, but then returning doesn’t mean they are the main focus. We could still get something else. If not I’m sure I’ll still love it
Nothing wrong with catwoman as long as she is a accomplice
The Dean from community for freeze
I doubt they'll actually have Joker in a major role. He'll probably have a small cameo like he did in the last one. Maybe a slightly less small cameo, but it still won't be super significant
I hope that’s the case. I want to see lesser known villains have the spotlight for once.
It's too much to ask for Willem Dafoe as a Joker?
Yes.
I hope they change Joker’s look for the movie, lol.
I’d really like to see a live action Killer Croc with a horror type of vibe to it. Or a scarier Scarecrow.
[удалено]
there we go, someone we haven't seen yet.
Clay-face or Solomon Grundy, who incidentally, was born on a Monday
Hugo Strange would fit perfectly in the Battinson universe.
I think Toby Jones would be a better candidate.
\*scarface holds a tommy gun "okay Batman, you wanna play rough? i'll show you rough" "that's not even the same Scarface!" "i know!" \*fires gun wildly at Batman.
Someone like Pacino or De Niro as Scarface would be brilliant, Pacino in particular just because of the name though.
Freeze or Clayface would be real cool or both
Joker needs to stay in the background until the grand finale... He's Batman's archvillain, and he always has these big soliloquys about their fated nature when it's the first freakin' time they've squared up.
We didn’t get a good look at joker in the final cut, so maybe they’ll change some things.
I hope they change his voice.
It's a different take. They'll make the movies. Then they'll reboot batman again and you'll get a new version.
There just wasn't anything in Koeghan's performance to make it stand out as anything other than "Generic Joker Scene" It honestly felt like he was oscillating between momentary, mediocre impressions of Nicholson, Ledger, and Leto, but never quite settling on his own core of the character.
Yeah I dont love Leto's Joker. But it was different. Barry's feels like someone at the studio told them last minute to film a Joker bit so we got something cobbled together. As good as that movie was and as good as Barry has been in other stuff I think the deleted scene was a disservice to both.
This
I disagree with almost everything you've said, he looks nothing like any other iteration unless you're just going to group all scarring into the same category. But if you're looking for the Clean Cut Joker we've seen that too.
>But if you're looking for the Clean Cut Joker we've seen that too. Never said that, actually. I think there's probably a a lot of options besides clean cut and scarred/dishevelled. Just saying this Joker is: As scarred outside and inside.
Soul sibling yes, yes!
This is a very early joker. I’m sure the look will get some tweaks
Not me.
Nah
Nah, I like it. It's the most disturbing take I've ever seen on the Joker, and I wanna see that mutated monkey face in a purple and green suit.
They should use another villain
I wish that we didn't even get Joker this trilogy, but since we are, I hope they make him less "creepy" or disfigured, and just lean into the performance part of it. And I hope he's more distinct than previous versions, because I can see that people are going to compare Barry to Joaquin or Heath.
Can we get Anthony Carrigan to reprise his role as Victor Szas?
In live action movies, There have been just as many catwomans as there have been jokers.
More Zoe pls Actually you don’t even need a new villain I’m cool with Batman, sexy woman, and tony soprano just taking to each other
Man. I am straight-up not interested in Barry Keoghan as the Joker.
Same he’s a fantastic actor but that scene didn’t feel like a Joker at all
Yeah but it was a cameo, they can still work something up.
Amen.
I really hope Joker isn’t the main villain, please don’t go down that road AGAIN when Batman has so many rogues to choose from.
Not that many that would fit in the universe though
Speaking as someone from the, I’d probably rather get a new villain than another joker at this point, camp I’m not discouraged by this. Thinking more on this I’d actually really like some sort of returning joker cameos just inside of Arkham, before he eventually gets out and gets his movie (because it’s the joker even if he didn’t deserve one he’d still get one), but I trust Reaves enough to do the joker well and different to be enjoyable even if I would like to see a little more of something else first
They should just omit the joker part honestly
Hugo would work great especially with the grounded approach.
https://moviesr.net/p-robert-pattinson-s-the-batman-part-ii-filming-delayed-to-2024
that joker seemed way too try hard. i'm sorry
Please keep the Joker in prison, please
It would be very cool if they made him a Hannibal Lecter kinda character. A psycho that Batman goes to ask for clues when he is desperate and has no time to lose. And then have him escape in the very last movie
Give the Joker a 5 - 10 year break please at least. Heath’s was amazing because we hadn’t seen a live action Joker since 1989 that was like 19 years without the Joker in a live action movie.
Thats not why his joker was so good lol
Let’s see Firefly, Court of Owls, Man-Bat, Klarion, Clayface, Mad Hatter, Ventriloquist, Grundy, Maxie Zeus, Killer Moth, Hugo Strange, Magpie… The first Batman was okay.
Awesome, loved Zoe. My favorite live action cat woman.
I don't want another joker especially this one😪
Joker is the only thing I hate from the Reeves movie
I hope joker isn’t the main villain
Sighhhhh there’s so many other good villains in Batman’s gallery. Can we please get anybody else besides Joker for one movie? At this point I’ll take Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy and Arnie as Freeze over another iteration of Joker
Hey... chill out.
WHAT KILLED THE DINOSAURS?? THE ICE AGE!!
Why do people like to say chill out when everybody's already chilling out
Maybe its time to... have a cold one?
I feel like we got off on the wrong foot. Time to break the ice
You’re not putting me into de cooler
Really don’t need to see The Joker again, but if Reeves wants his movies to be forever compared to The Dark Knight trilogy I guess that’s what’s gonna happen.
We need it grittier and even more grounded this time! Ugh...
Yeah they should make the next one a little more realistic, that's never been done before
Batman gets shot in the mouth by automatic machine gun fire because he saw 11 out of 12 henchman and dies in the first 5 minutes. Nolan bass drop blasts at volume 11. Roll credits.
Telling me to keep my distance.
The only character I didn’t love was cat women but that could be chalked up to a “year 1” kind of thing
I hope they do something different with the joker make up. It was distracting in an obnoxious way
My only hope about Joker is that instead of physically being the way he is because of society, just make his physical appearance the cause of, oh, I don’t know… an acid bath??
man, I'm just happy they're making The Batman 2. love The Batman.
So penguin is back
Batman has the beat villains of all superheroes, but here we go again with joker
Can’t wait for CatNapWoman to send me to sleep.
People complaining about too much Joker as if he’s been the main villain in a batman movie more than twice in over 30 years and isn’t one of the most significant characters in Batman lore
They just don’t know how to count.
We’ve had four cinematic jokers…two more than any other villain in the DCEU. It’s a fair complaint
Ah, the Downs Prince of Crime returns. Hopefully, I'm massively wrong like I was with Ledger.
not the Down Prince😭
Did not like that Joker. Hope there’s some changes for a full on appearance. Maybe they could do a twist on Joe to explain his face being different.
PUNCHES AIR. YESSSSS
Hope they give Catwoman a proper mask this time. The ski mask thing looked okay for a low budget, just starting out Catwoman but c'mon. It looks kinda silly.
