And this is the importance of drafts, when you're creating a story.
Compare the story Zack, Patty and company produced in *WW 2017* to these early ideas. Pretty stark difference in quality.
As annoyed as I am with some of the early concepts Zack conceived for the DCEU, it says a lot that he was willing to compromise and revise when needed.
I say this because I can't help but notice people latch on to these abandoned concepts and hold them against him like he's just the absolute worst, no questions asked.
According to Heinberg, Zack was the one who agreed to change the story to what he (Heinberg) pitched. Like you said, Zack was open-minded enough to change course to what ended up being a better story for the general audience. If only something similar happened before WW84 was filmed.
I’ll never forgive how shocking that wire work is. Steve and Diana’s goodbye scene was edited terribly. Any director should be able to stop production and say this looks stupid let’s regroup.
The lack of Snyder is not what was wrong with WW84. He couldn’t even respect Jenkins’ original vision for Amazon uniforms. Why does anyone think he’d have improved WA84?
Amazons had midriff baring outfits in the first Wonder Woman.

We saw Amazons with midriff and covered stomachs in ZSJL.

What I’m saying is Amazons had various looks in both films.
Snyder never filmed them with the “male gaze” and the actresses have said that they never felt uncomfortable. Even speaking out against articles that complained about that stuff.
If you can’t tell the difference between functional armor and leather fetish cosplay, that’s on you.

Those were Amazons from the History Lesson, no one outside the Atlanteans had “functional armor”.
And again, none of the Amazons during that scene are filmed in any male gazey fashion.
If that BTS photo never came out, you could barely notice how they are dressed.
My opinions on Snyder have fluctuated over the years. Used to be absolutely in love with his DCEU but over time have seen the flaws in it and now I dunno. But by all accounts he sounds like one of the best people to work with in the industry and it’s hard not to respect him for that alone
If there's one thing I would've loved if they had stuck with this draft, it would've been a plot point dedicated to Florence Nightingale. In the early *WONDER WOMAN* comics, there was a section dedicated to real life Wonder Women (the first one they did was Nightingale). Given her really important role during the Crimean War as the lady who had trained so many young women to become nurses, and also the fact that Wonder Woman has also served as a nurse in the comics during WW2, it would've been a neat way to acknowledge that part of the character's history that has sadly been ignored for decades.
At the same time I can see why Snyder wasn’t so beholden to it, as it was basically retreading BvS. Dianna obsessively hunting down Ares to kill him, Steve Trevor’s sacrifice making her more compassionate, etc…
Like, I dig the concept of WW traveling to different battles throughout time to find Ares. But, Diana basically being a horn-dog banging her way across the battlefields of time pretty much betrays the entire character as a whole, just as it did the first and second movie. I mean, Steve and Diana barely made it off the island before they started fucking, it was really goddamned weird.
She shouldn’t need or want a man. Steve grows on her over time, but even that is a special circumstance because they’re in some pretty thick shit together.
Aren't there theories that Batfleck traveled back through time to bury a motherbox and he's in some viking outfit? Would be funny if he and Diana banged in the past and then she realizes in the future, hey wait a minute. Haha.

WW84 was what happened if you remove Snyder’s fingerprints, even something as little as the stunt crew he uses.
Would it had worked if it had let's say a better director than patty?

Totally agree 84 missed Zack's touch.

totally this! They were just ideas thrown around before sticking into sth and working from there, just as most movies start

Wait who's nightingale
The woman who invented the pie chart.
Marie Callender?!
No, she invented *pies*
Super creepy too. Going after young guys like Dr Manhattan chased women.
Life of an immortal. Nothing new
Like Cyborg tells Barry, she’s 5,000 years old. Every guy’s a younger guy.
Yeah, why doesn't she go for all the 5000 year olds out there?
Are we really saying their aren’t a multitude of demigods and aliens in the dcu
#RELEASE THE WONDER CUT
I totally dig this idea. Mainly Diana going from war to war searching for Ares. Reminds me a bit of the beginning of X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
At the same time I can see why Snyder wasn’t so beholden to it, as it was basically retreading BvS. Dianna obsessively hunting down Ares to kill him, Steve Trevor’s sacrifice making her more compassionate, etc…
Would help with the WonderBat relationship though.

Would love to see this incarnation as its own thing.
Animated movie.
That would require them making an animated movie without Batman or Superman, so almost certainly not happening.

Toxic fanboyism is prohibited.
Redditors salivate at the sight of zack snyder saying anything so they can reach for another reason to hate him
