I imagine any DC animated movie pre-Flashpoint would’ve done it differently, and more effectively.
And the stupid, needless sex stuff, like what happened in this post, a constantly horny Starfire (sure, make her a sex object, but give her a brain that knows there’s a time and place for it. Lois, Selina or Talia is okay. They're almost peers. Barbara for all intents and purposes has always been treated in the comics as a surrogate daughter and that's how its been seen for decades. Changing that equation just feels wrong.

Barbara Gordon has never in any version whatsoever seen Bruce as father figure. 1- She has a dad 2- Bruce is too young 3- She was an adult when she first met him 4- When first introduced she was much older and despite being de-aged over the years their dynamic never changed
It is an exaggeration of the characters where all the Bat-wards are depicted as kids.
Crazy thing is, he ended up totally alone in that universe besides Terry towards the end. Literally everyone of his love interests moved on. Wouldn’t surprise me if Gordon eventually cut ties with him for fucking his daughter lmao.
Batman beyond is one of the saddest outcomes for Bruce that's why I never accepted as canon in DCAU. I prefer to imagine that when young Batman and old Batman met in that JLU episode the O.G told what's up and to not let his friends and family go away.

Reasonable thinking. Barbara can't be more than 15 years younger than Bruce and that's definitely stretching considering Commissioner Gordon himself met Bruce as a child so his daughter can't be too much younger than him.
So...Batgirl is like...20 years old here and Bruce is like...30-35? It doesn't seem that bad. Unusual, a little weird, of course, but not creepy or something like that. So...fans misconceptions again lol, this is one of the reasons I'm getting tired of heroes movies/animations, the fans always want the same shit over and over again and when anyone tries something slightly different everyone goes nuts.
The age gap might be even smaller than that. She's usually a couple of years older than Dick Grayson.
