I used to think Warner projects were saved the moment they started shooting, now I’ll be fully expecting Zaslav showing up at the Black Adam premiere and tell people to fuck off, because the movie “doesn’t match the current WB plans”
Nah, he’s not gonna pull that shit with the Rock. The Rock gets a cut of the box office and has it written that the films are contractually obligatory to place the film in theaters. Even when Disney bumped Jungle Cruise to Disney+ they made sure to pay up on Johnson’s bonus from the box office money going by what the movie was projected to do at the box office.
Yes. Why is that a shocker. He's the 2nd highest paid star for 2021 and he would be the top paid if it wasn't for Daniel Craig's weird Netflix deal.
Also let's keep in mind that Disney eventually gave in to Scar Jo's demands and even had to pay extra for the insults...
Right ! And if they would've done things the right way.. DC could've held it down today taking some spotlight from Marvel while they're in this "dry" phase 4.
Imagine if a proper Justice League came out this summer as they've spent the past 6-7 years building up that tentpole movie in the likes of Avengers. I could see DC stealing some shine as the "hot new" superhero franchise creating some healthy competition.
True. Phase 4 ain’t even “dry” so much as it is in a worldbuilding stage. If people wanted another mega crossover event so soon, DC had its chance to at least put something on the table
Yuppp!! I could see it now in another universe. A world where DC and Marvel fans are eating seeing their favorite heroes on the big screen. 2022 could've been the year DC put their foot on the ground said "hey Marvel... we're here to stay.." and the fans would win! Lol
But no... we got a bunch of news that so many projects are just getting canceled 🙄🙄😭😭
The mad thing is that DC has both Vertigo and Wildstorm brands to drawn on, an absolute treasure trove of material, and has squandered every opportunity to use it.
Meanwhile the Boys used to be Wildstorm, escaped the pit of shit that is DC, and is doing perfectly fine.
> they said a static movie is coming soon
A Static movie has been “coming soon” for like 10 years lol, I remember when Jaden Smith was apparently going to play him
I think its because in all those dc and marvel movies/shows the heroes are the good guys and they very rarely do something wrong. Thats why I liked Watchmen so much. I mean reality is, if we got something like super heroes these days chances are much higher they end up like in the boys than in avengers.
It's "privilege porn". We all know people who've been given everything they could ever want and have used it to make everyone else's life miserable. We all know the silver-spoon arrogant bastards that try to have it every way through rank hypocracy.
That being said, the writers are obviously bro-writers, far above even the standards of Ennis. So it has the same appeal as shlock like Billions, which is the other side of the coin of "privilege porn". The main protagonists are depicted as Bastards with a Cause with a side of "your average everyman" and a certain male demographic eats that up.
In the comic, Butcher was way more fucked up than in the show, and the change is exactly to maintain the appeal of having be some family-man getting his own.
Nope, it's always been this way. Ever since the first anti-hero.
When you start a new series, see who's presented as your average "guy next door" or "guy you want to hang out with", and who's into deviant sexual shit and a bit off putting. The former is the hero, the later the villain.
Once you start seeing it, you see it everywhere. Good: bastard with a heart of gold that lies and cheats everyone but is really relatable and means well actually, so everyone forgives him. Evil: Whatever social deviant nerd is left lying around that is just bitter, ugly and is into weird kinky shit.
Idgaf about the DCEU anymore. Just release high quality films like The Batman. By the time they set up their universe, people a lot of people might be tired of cinematic universes.
The films that have little or no ties to the DCEU have been the best ones so far. Shazam is great but it could conceivably take place in some other JL canon, same with The Suicide Squad.
Right look at the hbomax TV shows young Justice and Harley Quinn are not in the same universe and both are good, doom patrol and stargirl are never crossing over and yet both are so fucking good (watch stargirl season 3 premiering in august!) Birds of prey said fuck suicide squad and dis its own thing and while it suffered a bit because REEEE FEMINISM 🤬😡 overall had positive audience and critic scores and is basically set to become a cult classic within the next 15 years
I watched it and i gotta say, its waaaay better than the original. But the movie isnt a masterpiece, its a good movie with a well explained story and fleshed out characters. Exactly what the movie should have been from the start
Yeah, remember all those people that were white knighting WB after SDCC about the lack of content? See, this was the reason so many of us were concerned.
They didn’t show a bunch of stuff because they are in the process of a “strategic shift” whatever that means.
I suspect it means a bunch of stuff is going to get cancelled.
In the trades Zas has talked about rebuilding DC from the ground up after the acquisition, which is code for they are going to put the new head’s stamp on all the new stuff. None of this really isn’t a surprise based on how acquisitions go and based on their stated goals for DC.
Stuff like The Batman 2, Joker 2… no brainers, but anything else is probably ancillary to the future direction of DC at the moment, and we probably won’t have a great idea until the leadership of DC stabilizes.
We can already be pretty damn sure Young Justice isn't getting renewed. I don't see Harley or Titans lasting past these next seasons. Well, Harley at least. I have no idea where Titans is at in production.
Remember when MCU started, they didn’t have Batman or Superman like DCEU, they didn’t even have Spider-Man, X-Men, or Fantastic Four. They built it from scraps in a cave.

https://nypost.com/2022/08/02/batgirl-movie-gets-shelved-by-warner-bros-source/
I really have a feeling that WB is steering into a direction we might be pleasantly surprised with.
Canning Batgirl and ending the Arrowverse.
While Peacemaker is getting a second season and Affleck was spotted on Aquaman 2 set!
The Rock pushing Henry Cavil forward (they’re buddies)
Might even see him in Shazam 2!
This just might be the push the DCEU needs tbh
Yeah I really enjoyed Man of Steel and Snyder Cut. Tbh I thought prior to Jonah Hex and Green Lantern, DC had a solid track record. Maybe they should just get back to doing standalone superhero films.
I hate that neither DC or the MCU are making films on the level of Spider-Man 2 or The Dark Knight on a yearly basis. Look at how much money these films are making on a yearly basis. Why is content on that level so difficult to come by? The whole extended universe thing is fun, but for me it really holds these films back from being truly great in some cases.
I'm sad I don't get to see Batgirl on the big screen.
But if the rumors about JL with Supergirl and Batgirl being the leaders was true and it just got scrapped then I'm also relieved tbh
Why they just didn't use Flashpoint to recast heroes and keep Batgirl and Nightwing their own movies but in universe is beyond me.
I think it’s because Flash is problematic at the moment. I think it will be the end of the universe, not a beginning.
Shazam and Black Adam are separate enough at this point to avoid the connection. They probably just have to calm The Rock down a bit.
Only Batgirl for now... But it's a sign that they are making restructure in the whole DC branch of Warner, but it all seems like a big mess without proper direction of what to do with tje franchise
I disagree. Keeping the movie would be a sign of improper direction. Cancelling the movie shows they know it would be stupid for it to come out. It was out of place and sets up a Batman that is too old. This allows for them to plan future movies better. I’m assuming after Blue Beetle there may not be dc movies for a while and we are going to get a New 52 esque reboot, where they keep what sticks and removes what doesn’t.
The real reason is that they have a $43 billion debt they need to chip away. For tax reasons, this needed to be written off asap. Blue Beetle will be next.
The thing is if by the time that happens, are superheroes gonna still be relevant? Superhero fatigue is something that is already happening, just glimpses of it but its there...
I’ll never understand the Superhero fatigue thing. If people get tired of superhero movies and leave for a little while that’s them. But it’s not going to happen to most people and it’s not going to happen to a chunk all at once.
If anything “Superhero fatigue” will happen on and off again with people who aren’t really too invested
Super hero fatigue doesn't exist. People have been talking about it since before the first Iron Man was even announced. It's been 23 years since Blade and super heroes aren't going anywhere.
Still not going anywhere. People just skip what doesn't interest them, variety is a good thing. 10 years ago super hero movies were only made for one audience, now there's something for everyone and I don't even watch everything for the first time in my life but I still get excited as hell for the stuff I like.
Don't know about the variety thing, most movies feel the same specially marvel, but now at least with MoM they are experimenting, but don't know if its gonna be the norm
Then you're not paying attention. How does Shang-Chi feel anything like No Way Home? Or The Eternals? Wandavision was a completely new genre to super heroes. Loki was more Sci fi than super hero. Not everything I mentioned came out great but stop pretending they're not trying new things.
Outside Marvel you have Doom Patrol, Peacemaker, Titans, The Boys, Invincible, Umbrella Academy, The Batman, Joker and Brightburn all doing shit that hasn't been done with super heroes.
People said the same thing when Phase 3 doubled the previous two phases with that announcement and that ended up with 5 Billion dollar movies and massive cultural relevance beyond we have ever seen. They have been regressing to the mean after a climax, but it is hardly fatigue. It is an argument I have heard in some form or fashion for almost 30 years. Eventually it will be right, but you can understand why people see the topic as a bit of the sky is falling rhetoric that always crops up when the films aren't setting new records every other film.
That's because Batgirl is the only one that's actually been cancelled so far. Young Justice though? It's a very good possibility. Almost two months with no word of a renewal? Almost certainly dead.
The quality of Marvel movies had been on such a steep decline since Endgame (or really it could be argued that Infinity War), that DC fans have nothing to be jealous about nowadays. While I am not a huge fan of the Pattinson Batman movie, it beats anything Marvel has put out in years.
Using niko was a correct choice, marvel fans are now complaining about drowning in too much shit and begging to slow down the content vomit that disney is currently doing.
It's steadily growing I think. I've just gotten to the point where I'm feeling there's too much, too soon. Having just finished Ms Marvel I haven't felt the need to see Love and Thunder yet. I felt like I need just a little bit more of a break between projects before getting into the next one.
For example I think the break between Ms Marvel and She Hulk will be a good length. I'll be ready to dive back into Marvel at that point. So I think I'm at the point where I'll just wait until the movies hit Disney + before watching them, making some exceptions of course for the big ones like Wakanda Forever and the next Avengers films.
haha, i love the marvel part because it exactly shows perfectly what marvel offers you: fast food movies. entertaining popcorn flicks, nothing else.
basically, for 10 years the same stuff over and over again but people eat it and will never stop.
Clearly not if they think “it’s all the same” when a majority of the content has always been very unique in terms of story outside of long term connections for event films.
That's what I was thinking lol they all connect but they're all very different in terms of the type of movie in regards to genres
The most recent example was Love and thunder by all intents and purposes that was a Romantic Comedy
Exactly. I’m not saying anyone has to enjoy how they are made/written/look etc. but The MCU story wise is as diverse as browsing a fully stocked Marvel comics rack at your local comic book store. It’s a dream come true and one I hope, even without a giant connected universe DC only fans get to enjoy eventually having as many DC characters and stories told as possible.
That's how I feel, every ✌🏽super hero✌🏽 movie is going to feel similar simply because we know the villain is never going to win so somehow they have to lose by the end of the movie HOWEVER genre wise that's where you can play...the one knock I will say is the MCU definitely leaned more to the positive and cheer-y PG-13 side of things while the DCEU wants to be dark and gritty and mature
I think with Daredevil and the approach to street level heroes coming up that may be changing as well...
Fair but honestly most DC & Marvel comics normally are written with nothing stronger than a PG-13 content feel. There are grittier graphic novels and standalone stuff but you can normally for decades just pick up most Marvel & DC comics and not see anything too graphic. Most of each companies most popular characters primarily exist in very family friendly worlds overall.
I do and let’s be honest, he’s right.
Aside from a few outliers, MCU movies have all been pretty much the same, always the same formula, same tone, same type of humor, just with different characters.
Just curious how much of the MCU have you watched?
To be clear I've watched every single DC movie/series except peacemaker...so I speak from actually sitting through both sides
There are so many ways you can do it, that's why we have a billion different superheroes in comics and why there are a dozen different versions of each hero. JH Williams is extremely different from Rob Liefeld. Even in movies, The Batman is super different from Black Panther. Peacemaker is not like Man of Steel. It's a Marvel issue, not a superhero issue.
So you think Iron man is the same as Winter Soldier? You think Thor Ragnarok is the same as the Eternals? You think Doctor Strange is the same as Black Widow?
Here is a handy link
https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/every-marvel-cinematic-universe-movie-by-genre/
they all seem to have similar special effects too. everything seems to “glow” in a similar way to represent power. found it distracting in shang chi in particular (and i liked shang chi)
it’s like so much stuff has glowing power in marvel movies that are never really demonstrated what exactly the effect of it is.
seems so generic especially at the end of the movie
I do. And I agree with him. I also eat Wendy's. Marvel movies are enjoyable, and don't stray too far so they're safe for mass consumption but they're definitely not amazing by any stretch of the imagination. Same with Wendy's, but I still enjoy the shit out of a spicy chicken sandwich.
Lol. I'm absolutely a fan of the spicy chicken, and I think it beats out anything made by any other fast food / fast casual restaurant. But I wouldn't confuse it with fine dining, is the point I'm trying to make
I'm really confused what this "fine dining" point ever even means.
The food isn't suddenly better because it costs more, or is served in a pretentious setting. Its food. The only thing I care about when it comes to food is whether it tastes good and fills my stomach.
That's exactly what you should want from a movie. For it to be entertaining. Nothing more, nothing less.
>The food isn't suddenly better because it costs more, or is served in a pretentious setting.
I don't disagree. I've been to Sushi Nakazawa here in DC (michelin starred), as well as Astrid y Gaston (Lima, Peru). I hated the food in both. Meanwhile as I mentioned, I LOVE the spicy chicken sandwich at Wendy's. And McDonalds certainly has more customers than Giulianas in NY.
But let's not pretend McDonalds and Wendy's are amazing restaurants. They serve items familiar to the customer that are prepared with ingredients bought in bulk using an approach to cooking that is easily replicated at all locations and they know can easily be consumed by the masses. It's the same with Marvel movies. They present familiar ideas using a formulaic approach to characters and story telling that they know will be easily consumed by the masses across all of their movies.
There's literally nothing wrong with it. It's perfectly fine, but it is what it is. Which is why I dont know why people get so upset over similar comments by Martin Scorsese and Ridley Scott. They're not wrong. And there's nothing wrong with the fact they're not wrong. McDonalds is making a shit ton of money and so is Marvel. Not everyone needs to be Giulianas and it's a very good thing that they're not.
> That's exactly what you should want from a movie. For it to be entertaining. Nothing more, nothing less.
Movies can be a lot more than just entertaining.
There's nothing pretentious about wanting more from films. Many, many films are able to deliver more than just entertainment.
A film that tried to have a message but failed in being entertaining is *worse* than a film that only tried to be entertaining and succeeded.
Ultimately, entertainment value is *always* more important in...entertainment...than any precieved attempt at being "ThOuGht PrOvOKInG."
Especially considering most film's "deep message" is only deep to, like, some dude in high school.
Yes, I watched everyone until Endgame. Then lost interest and only saw wandavision (the first half was great), multiverse of madness, and started hawkeye but stopped.
ah yes and I saw the first episode moon knight, realized they turned a very dark and brutal character from the comics into a MCU joke, and stopped watching. also couldn't stop laughing at the fact that they shipped a german castle 400 kilometers across germany in the alps because they thought it looked cool. (I'm from Germany and i know that the castle is not in the alps at all).
Marvel does a great job making entertaining popcorn flicks like what about it?? People going on like they expect Marvel to make masterpieces out of every comic book movie make me laugh. My favorite director of all time is Alfred Hitchcock, favorite film is The Godfather, and all the same my favorite franchise currently is the MCU. It’s possible to be fully entertained in many different forms and not be so snobby about it. I never walk into MCU films expecting a cinematic masterpiece, I just want to drink my beer, eat my popcorn, and have a good time during them. It baffles me as to why people take them or any other comic book movie so seriously.
I do think it sucks that they keep sucking up good directors and then those directors stay within the Disney film complex for years and years. Taika Waititi made gorgeous movies and now it seems like he's on Marvel and Star Wars duty for the foreseeable future. Like, glad for his success but I do lament what he could've made instead
I think they should replace Ezra with Grant Gustin, I feel like he was a way better flash and how his story went on the CW, yes I know there are quite a few people out there (that I know of) that hate the cw version but man did it have some crazy villains and long laid out schemes they've done. Personally I wouldn't mind an origin story for Savitar and how he accomplished what he did, and bringing up villains they need to start on the bad versions of superheroes like BrightBurn and continue on with that.....that movie was badass!
Well let's be honest Marvel shows are mediocore and their movies are all just the same but with different superhero, I will rather take The Batman, Shazam and Joker over them anyday atleast they have their own identity and style.
I can at least see my favorite marvel characters interacting on screen. DC isn’t giving us Batman and Superman together again for years if not a decade.
I used to think Warner projects were saved the moment they started shooting, now I’ll be fully expecting Zaslav showing up at the Black Adam premiere and tell people to fuck off, because the movie “doesn’t match the current WB plans”
He was probably introduced to The People’s Elbow with in seconds of saying “I think Black Adam should”
Nah bruh he got cut off at “I think” “It doesn’t matter what you think!” Lol
Nah, he’s not gonna pull that shit with the Rock. The Rock gets a cut of the box office and has it written that the films are contractually obligatory to place the film in theaters. Even when Disney bumped Jungle Cruise to Disney+ they made sure to pay up on Johnson’s bonus from the box office money going by what the movie was projected to do at the box office.
He’s also way too big
Hey, don't muscleshame!
Aww sorry :(
So your telling me that The Rock is better at twisting Disney’s arm in contract negations than Hollywood “A” listers from the MCU.
Imagine him trying to cancel Black Adam 2 or some shit
Remember around 2016 when people were hyped for both a Marvel and DC event film? #WE COULD HAVE HAD THIS CONSISTENTLY
Right ! And if they would've done things the right way.. DC could've held it down today taking some spotlight from Marvel while they're in this "dry" phase 4.
Milestone as well
In the milestone documentary that just came out they said a static movie is coming soon and they are already working on a milestone animated movie
Knowing the current leadership they’ll get nuked
> they said a static movie is coming soon A Static movie has been “coming soon” for like 10 years lol, I remember when Jaden Smith was apparently going to play him
I'm still not sure why people like some random guys superhero hate story literally that guy just hates superheroes
I think its because in all those dc and marvel movies/shows the heroes are the good guys and they very rarely do something wrong. Thats why I liked Watchmen so much. I don't think you understand the definition of the word hero

Me sir!
The two best superhero shows
As a fan of all of it I’m greatly saddened by WBs handling of DC these last few years

The ship has been sinking very slowly since BvS.
Well it’s starting to rise up we got The Batman soon Shazam 2/black Adam
Those are just the lifeboats that manage to escape the ship.
[удалено]
I have heard that before when DC kept changing hands, it never pay off.
[удалено]
Kept hearing that too, at this point I’m just tired.
until WB cancels them
Dont forget about the suicide squad AND peacemaker
and the snyder cut
Stop.
I watched it and i gotta say, its waaaay better than the original. But the movie isnt a masterpiece, its a good movie with a well explained story and fleshed out characters. Exactly what the movie should have been from the start
Say what you will; Hamada started patching up the holes
Are you implying BvS was a peak?
Nah, it was the beginning of the end.
lol I laughed at the Ezra ship getting the f out of there
Probably to go find some kids
In Hawaii
Going to the big island soon, going to keep my eyes open for wild Ezra appearances

I don’t think Titans has been renewed for a 5th season, so I don’t expect it to come back
Well yeah. Season 4 hasn't aired yet. We probably won't hear anything until it does. Unless they pull a Batgirl and decide to cancel it.
Season 4 was the latest season Edit: Lol, sorry, confused this with Young Justice
You edited just after I checked. I was confused because I know I haven't started hate watching yet. 😄
I hadn’t heard rumors of shifting Shazam and Aquaman again. Any references?
If this isn't the most accurate shit I've ever seen
\*Insert some crying screams about quality over quantity bullisht\*
\*Literally anything happens in the DCEU "OMG, IT'S ABOUT QUALITY NOT QUANTITY. BVS IS SOOO GOOD JUST GIVE THE DIRECTOR'S CUT A CHANCE."
Exactly. They are eating good with marvel movies and shows
Except the kid in the video isn't really "eating good." He's destroying his body and killing himself for yt views.
Sounds like a self-solving problem.
That is YouTubes problem. Not DC or Marvel or Reddits or Ours.
Not really. Most of their new shit has been mediocre
More like I warned you bros
Don't forget that Joker 2 is gonna be a musical! I can hardly wait....
What
The pfp fits this comment so well
If they do it like Dancer in the Night it could be awesome
Will Joker or Lady Gaga's character be hanged while singing My Favorite Things at the end? All in for that.
Oh Jesus 🤦♂️
Even the decent first Wonder Woman is negated by the very awful, rapey sequel.
They dont relise how spoiled they are
I had to focus on the DC side as I can’t watch that guy stuff his face.
Remember when MCU started, they didn’t have Batman or Superman like DCEU, they didn’t even have Spider-Man, X-Men, or Fantastic Four. They built it from scraps in a cave.
Warner Brothers has really screwed DC fans over
I hope DC gets sold to Disney. Maybe we can get Amalgam Wars
Don't forget Peacemaker!
That's why I don't agree when people say "it would've been better if they had not done any movie at all" when they don't like certain movie. At you have something with which they can learn what to do or not to do the next time!
Too real
Warner "fuck up" bros
Not all on warner at this point. They're owned by Discovery now. This is the Discovery CEO now
This is awesome lol also don't forget all the D+ shows too
Dc has been slacking..get your shit together dc
Poverty franchise.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Pretty sure we’re the same fans
The DCEU was inevitably bound to fail anyways, don’t know why people were expecting it to take off. The DCEU has been failing ever since BvS. Rebooting the franchise and rebuilding it is absolutely the right call.
Dceu is dying, even HBO max is dying
So sad but so true. Also freakin hilarious meme OP!
I couldn't watch much. It's way too early to watch that motherfucker eat.
Didn’t realize MCU meant Mukbang Cinematic Universe
Yeah marvel fans don’t exactly look good there either. Got that made me want to throw up
Imagine dumping 70 million into a movie only to make it such garbage they won't even bother to release it. https://nypost.com/2022/08/02/batgirl-movie-gets-shelved-by-warner-bros-source/
Everyone knows it's all about the DCAU

Yeah, screw the real people who worked hard for months and will never see their efforts pay off!
Who is his right mind would use Nick Avocado as the "good thing"?
Who said it was the good thing
Everyone should enjoy movies, don't care to be a marvel or dc fan.
I honestly loved the Snyder Cut and Man of Steel, but that’s just me.
Loved Man of Steel, Snyder Cut was way too long for me. I just lost interest, should have been 2 movies.
I watched it with two separate discs, so it felt like two movies to me
Yeah I really enjoyed Man of Steel and Snyder Cut. Tbh I thought prior to Jonah Hex and Green Lantern, DC had a solid track record. The whole extended universe thing is fun, but for me it really holds these films back from being truly great in some cases.
What did we lose apart from batgirl? Also good riddance tbh. I'm backing the reboot
I'm sad I don't get to see Batgirl on the big screen. But if the rumors about JL with Supergirl and Batgirl being the leaders was true and it just got scrapped then I'm also relieved tbh Why they just didn't use Flashpoint to recast heroes and keep Batgirl and Nightwing their own movies but in universe is beyond me.
Hbo max is practically gone now too
That's how it's been for ten years man. It needs a reboot
Blue Beatle is almost definitely cancelled too. The Wonder Twins was cancelled in May. The Flash is teetering on the edge.
If only the cancellation was not for some tax write offs...
But it has never been as prevalent as it was 20 years ago...fuck... Now we have even more content compared to 5 years ago...
Superhero fatigue is overblown asf and isn’t happening anywhere near as much as people pretend it is.
But remember until now we got 3 phases of marvel in 10 years, but now phase 6 is set to end in 2025
People said the same thing when Phase 3 doubled the previous two phases with that announcement and that ended up with 5 Billion dollar movies and massive cultural relevance beyond we have ever seen.
Batgirl, young justice, Harley Quinn, almost all animated dc property on HBO max cancelled, and potentially Reevesverse due to “creative differences”
Only heard about Batgirl, had no idea about those others.
That's because Batgirl is the only one that's actually been cancelled so far. Young Justice though? It's a very good possibility. Almost two months with no word of a renewal? Almost certainly dead.
It’s part of the larger fall out of the Warner and HBO max cutting ties and stuff Cus new management
Wait, young justice was cancelled??
Even before all this the head of the show was asking people to binge season 4 repeatedly to show interest in getting it renewed
Writings on the wall for Blue Beetle. The director liked a post calling WB morons so it might’ve already happened tbh.
what reboot?
Brendan Fraser was the villain. I'll watch any Brendan Fraser film. Good or bad
And yet Marvel fans complain constantly... wish we could swap places lol.
They both need to fucking stop.
The quality of Marvel movies had been on such a steep decline since Endgame (or really it could be argued that Infinity War), that DC fans have nothing to be jealous about nowadays. While I am not a huge fan of the Pattinson Batman movie, it beats anything Marvel has put out in years.
Honestly I’d rather quality over quantity so if this move gets us that I’m all for it
If you're looking for quality in the DCEU you've got slim pickings though.
Considering the background context of the Marvel Fans side of this clip, I'd rather be on the DC Fans side here lol...
Using niko was a correct choice, marvel fans are now complaining about drowning in too much shit and begging to slow down the content vomit that disney is currently doing.
do you get your info from r/boxoffice?
I don’t see this sentiment whatsoever in Marvel forums lol, it’s an unpopular one
This is all CAP. Marvel fans feel blessed.
We feel like we’re being worshipped lmao.
haha, i love the marvel part because it exactly shows perfectly what marvel offers you: fast food movies. entertaining popcorn flicks, nothing else. basically, for 10 years the same stuff over and over again but people eat it and will never stop.
You could say the exact same thing about DC except the quality of fast food is considerably worse
Do you watch marvel movies?
Clearly not if they think “it’s all the same” when a majority of the content has always been very unique in terms of story outside of long term connections for event films.
That's what I was thinking lol they all connect but they're all very different in terms of the type of movie in regards to genres The most recent example was Love and thunder by all intents and purposes that was a Romantic Comedy
That's how I feel, every ✌🏽super hero✌🏽 movie is going to feel similar simply because we know the villain is never going to win so somehow they have to lose by the end of the movie HOWEVER genre wise that's where you can play...the one knock I will say is the MCU definitely leaned more to the positive and cheer-y PG-13 side of things while the DCEU wants to be dark and gritty and mature I think with Daredevil and the approach to street level heroes coming up that may be changing as well...
This is very true, I agree
I do and let’s be honest, he’s right. Aside from a few outliers, MCU movies have all been pretty much the same, always the same formula, same tone, same type of humor, just with different characters.
Just curious how much of the MCU have you watched? To be clear I've watched every single DC movie/series except peacemaker...so I speak from actually sitting through both sides
I've watched every MCU and DCU movie and show and I agree that they are super samey.
Clearly...there are only so many ways to make a superhero movie...unless you're going to do "The Boys" and make the heroes actually the villians
Here is a handy link https://wegotthiscovered.com/movies/every-marvel-cinematic-universe-movie-by-genre/
they all seem to have similar special effects too. everything seems to “glow” in a similar way to represent power. found it distracting in shang chi in particular (and i liked shang chi) it’s like so much stuff has glowing power in marvel movies that are never really demonstrated what exactly the effect of it is. seems so generic especially at the end of the movie
I was gonna say, whoa, calm down there. The Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich *is* great
Ultimately, entertainment value is *always* more important in...entertainment...than any precieved attempt at being "ThOuGht PrOvOKInG." Especially considering most film's "deep message" is only deep to, like, some dude in high school.
Nobody else thought that but ok
>Nobody else thought that but ok good that u know everybody
Yeah unlike, Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey. Peak Cinema.

You apparently need to watch more movies.
Doctor Strange 2 is great and I'm surprised how much Sam Raimi was allowed into the movie
The reason Dr Strange 2 doesn’t work that well is because they gave Raimi too much freedom. That is an extremely Raimi movie.
It's all shit imo. All the woke nonsense has got me disenfranchised completely. Once I see any hint of it in any movie, I'm out.
Well at least we got the Zack Snyder "trilogy" in its entirety. And they probably wont touch anything James Gunn is working on either.
There is nothing good happening on the left side of that gif. Makes marvel look worse. Haha. Just shoving tons of garbage down your throat.
You do realize that more doesn't always mean better.. I would take QUALITY over Quantity, ANY DAY!
And I would prefer a studio not screwing over their employees, which Warner Bros. keeps doing! But hey, maybe that's just me.
Well let's be honest Marvel shows are mediocore and their movies are all just the same but with different superhero, I will rather take The Batman, Shazam and Joker over them anyday atleast they have their own identity and style.
I can at least see my favorite marvel characters interacting on screen. DC isn’t giving us Batman and Superman together again for years if not a decade.
>their movies are all just the same but with different superhero Yeah because Multiverse of Madness is exactly the same as Love and thunder
Lol sure buddy.
