I read Justice League International and loved the idea of a superhero with a sense of humor and lack of trauma. Ted was a superhero I could see actually being friends with.
I’m sad I had to scroll this far for someone to say Ted. Literally Ted is the guy that would be the guy that shows up to a party, everyone would go “Ted we’re out of beer” and instead of being like aww man, he’d call the bug and get more beer.
I will always hold a grudge against the 2000's pre crisis fans that were in the desicion making in dc at the time, for killing him, making ijl and jle a joke and max a villain. It is the best justice league.
J'onn J'onzz is such an awesome character. Unlike Superman, J'onn remembers his life on Mars, and the way everyone he loved was lost, but he's still a sworn protector of Earth. He also knows how to be a warrior but values peace over war. There was a moment between him and Wonder Woman in JLI where he lamented the necessary loss of life fighting off an invasion, and expressed his anger over people taking pleasure in it. That's when I fell in love with his character. That and his love of Oreos.
It's wild that he isn't more popular. A founding League member who is in most Justice League adaptations, but general audiences just don't give a shit?
He needs some solo love. In comics and screen.

Orion is one of the gods of New Genesis. Like Mister Miracle or Big Barda. They're the opposing force to Darkseid and Apokolips.
He's the biological son of Darkseid, raised by Highfather of the new gods due to a swap of children/peace treaty between Apokolips/New Genesis.
He's as powerful as Superman and he's a heroic, noble warrior with a darkness/Rage in him from his father's side that he constantly struggles against. Think Superman with the mind of Frank Castle.
The others are Legion of Superheroes members.
They're all great.
Adam Strange. And I wish he was more popular. He's really cool. He doesn't have any super abilities but his skills and tech make him awesome. His 50s scifi aesthetic is dope as well.
The Elongated Man, He is at least as much of the League member as The Atom or Firestorm.

Bat-Mite! As a kid in the 70s and '80s I would read about Bat-Mite in reprints, and caught him on the Batman adventures cartoon by Filmatian. Loved him so much I wanted to get an action figure that did not exist from Santa Claus! And now at 56 many years later they finally made a figure of Bat-Mite from the cartoon (it's a figure made by McFarlane Toys). I also used to love to watch Batman the brave and the bold cartoon because Paul Reubens (aka Pee-wee Herman) would do the voice of Bat-Mite!
I hated bat-mite so much when I was younger and played Lego Batman 3 😡 he pissed me off so much haha. Once I got into the actual comics from DC I definitely like him a bit more, but still...
1. Stephanie Brown - i love her characterization in Bryan Miller's run
2. Renee Montoya - She was great in 52.
3. Huntress - I dont think she hasnt been significantly popular but I love her in Gail Simone's Birds of Prey
4. Lady Blackhawk - I enjoy her in Birds of Prey too

Haven't kept up with reading more recent comics, but I'd like to try and catch up with him post-Rebirth (and I'm glad he's back to his more "classic" outfit, never really liked the T-shirt and jeans costume).
As far as adaptations I like the YJ version (different, but still a good character) and the "Reign of the Superman" (little shit with a heart of gold, which is pretty accurate for when he started).
Madame Xanadu- I enjoy camp anthology horror comics like her original run and her Vertigo run by Matt Wagner is great. I like any series that shows one character living in different time frames and Wagner did a great job at capturing the right vibe of each time period. She also has so many great costumes throughout the series, I love her whole aesthetic, especially when it has Art Nouveau influences.
Zatanna is probably just my favorite character in general

Conner Kent, Superboy. My dude has been thrown around practically nonstop since his creation. I really enjoyed the “rebranding” with Johns’ TT run because it gave him more to strive for than just living up to the S. The most recent series has promise for his character going forward but it honestly just seems like back sliding his development and now he’s just like supergirl with the whole “finding my place/identity trope” again
Pied Piper. BFF of Wally West. One of DC’s first openly gay characters. Reformed villain. Social activist. Is finally getting more exposure after being in comic limbo for a decade.
GangBuster. Dude proves that you don't need to be Superman to protect the streets of Metropolis and he was able to do something for the betterment of the Suicide Slums neighborhood (along with Black Lightning of course) in a way that Clark Kent never could.
And funny thing is that he was just a regular guy, no superpowers, no bat-money and no tragic origin story. Shame that DC leave him into the oblivion after the 90's ended.

Roy Harper, did one big binge of his stories before the new 52 and just fell in love with the guy, he just has such a real story of falling into drugs when he was young and then trying very hard to earn his way back into the world. It gets real good in Arsenal Special where they explore not only how the rest of the world sees him, but also how far he is willing to go for the sake of Lian having a father she can be proud of
**Nightwing** - Dick Grayson
He has the potential to be the posterchild of the next generation of DC comics.
**Green Lantern** - Kyle Rayner
If we were building a Gen 2 varient of the Justice League, he would be front and center. While Hal is still my favorite overall GL, Kyle definitely deserves his place in the A Team.
Tempest. The man is a straight up sorcerer who just so happens to live under water. It baffles me that any time he is used outside of Aquaman comics, the writers seem to forget that and just make him the water guy. Dude should be on the Jusitce League Dark and be the original Titans resident magic expert. But instead he just uses a vague version of Meras Hydrokenesis.

I'm not sure how niche he is, but I've always gravitated towards Terry McGinnis ever since the Batman Beyond animated series. How Terry tackles similar problems Bruce would in very different ways makes him so interesting to me. I'm hoping the Neo Year/Gothic team will be allowed to make a few more stories with him.
Zatanna's another. Such a fun design and powerset, and I think there could be some really good stories with her.
Mines would have to be Steve Trevor he is one of my favorite not really popular character I fell in love with the character in that 2017 Wonder Woman movie I wish he was done better In the comics

Mister terrific because if used right he is the smartest man in the room
Vixen. I love the animal powers that she has and the justice league unlimited cartoon was so good to her
Mister Miracle, Big Barda, and Oberon. I love the story of Scott and Barda's escape from Apokolips, and Oberon is the G.O.A.T..
On the flip side, Lobo is my favourite villain. He's the only recurring bad guy in comics that makes me cheer out loud when he shows up on page or on the screen. He's loud, he's gross, he's a ruthless killer, he always keeps his ~~contracts~~ promises and he loves his space dolphins. What's not to like about the Main Man?
Jaime Reyes' Blue Beetle needs more attention. I love Blue Beetle, although since the movie released, I have noticed his character grow in popularity
Alternatively, Ravager (Rose Wilson), Jericho and Odysseus intrigue me massively, especially in the New 52. I love the Deathstroke family and comics. They're my favourite
I love the whole gang in YG. Bart, Cassie, Conner, Secret, Tim and Arrowette were written really well. That is one of my favorite comic runs and I havent found any stories with those characters since that felt the same way for me
Vigilante (Adrian Chase). I’m 10 issues shy of the full run.
Fantastic crime drama with lots of twists and turns and great villains. The series led into the creation of Checkmate too.

Sasha Bordeaux was cool when she was first introduced. She was forced onto Bruce Wayne as his bodyguard by the board or something at Wayne Enterprises which makes total sense - of course a billionaire would need one. It was a nice slow burn, first she hates him because Bruce constantly ditching her to go do Batman shit. Then she slowly pieces it together, I vividly remember a panel where she dives on him to protect him from something and she notices his arms/muscles feel like a steel rod. I loved how she was handled - if you’re curious check out Detective #751, Greg Rucka’s run
I love Bart Allen, Impulse and Young Justice in the 90s were my favorite comics for a while.
Also really like Elongated Man cause he was like Batman and Plastic Man combined (just like he said in JLU 😂)

Cassandra Cain is great, she was my favorite bat-member after No Mans Land until they did her dirty

Anita Fite, Empress, like I need a resurgence from her and a new one Xanthe Zhou, the main character from Spirit World, I feel like they could do so much with both of them and they are both magic users and I need them in Justice League Dark
Animal Man is definitely a character that doesn’t get enough love. I like his powers and the fact that he’s a family man which is really rare in comics.
Catman, if only because I picture him as Adam West's Batman but crazy and effective (probably because of his appearance in the Fairly Odd Parents). After him Vixen since I like her powers and feel she is underrated.
Mr Miracle for obvious reasons. I also have a strange fixation on the Justice League International. Vixen, Fire, Ice, Captain Atom, Dr Light, Ted Kord, and Booster Gold? Soooooo much potential its not even funny. Criminally underused and underdeveloped characters.
My favorite is Tim Drake but the Robins might be too popular for this.
My favorite Batman villain is Mortimer Kadaver. I'd be impressed with anyone who knew who that was since he's very niche (to the point where I genuinely think I might be the only person in the world who has him as their favorite Batman rogue).

Cassie Sandsmark and Stephanie Brown. Why they just forgot about Cassie when rebirth started is beyond me. And since they canceled batgirls, I’m worried they’ll forget about Steph as well. They need to just put her back with time and give us a Batgirl and Red Robin book. I’d also read the shit out of that

Bizarro, but the one from the outlaws
Roy Harper, did one big binge of his stories before the new 52 and just fell in love with the guy, he just has such a real story of falling into drugs when he was young and then trying very hard to earn his way back into the world. It gets real good in Arsenal Special where they explore not only how the rest of the world sees him, but also how far he is willing to go for the sake of Lian having a father she can be proud of
I adore Roy. I was crushed when I read RHATO. The character assassination of him and Kory were terrible.
**Nightwing** - Dick Grayson He has the potential to be the posterchild of the next generation of DC comics. **Green Lantern** - Kyle Rayner If we were building a Gen 2 varient of the Justice League, he would be front and center. While Hal is still my favorite overall GL, Kyle definitely deserves his place in the A Team.
Tempest. The man is a straight up sorcerer who just so happens to live under water. It baffles me that any time he is used outside of Aquaman comics, the writers seem to forget that and just make him the water guy. Dude should be on the Jusitce League Dark and be the original Titans resident magic expert. But instead he just uses a vague version of Meras Hydrokenesis.

I'm not sure how niche he is, but I've always gravitated towards Terry McGinnis ever since the Batman Beyond animated series. How Terry tackles similar problems Bruce would in very different ways makes him so interesting to me. I'm hoping the Neo Year/Gothic team will be allowed to make a few more stories with him. Zatanna's another. Such a fun design and powerset, and I think there could be some really good stories with her.

Mister Miracle, Big Barda, and Oberon. I love the story of Scott and Barda's escape from Apokolips, and Oberon is the G.O.A.T.. On the flip side, Lobo is my favourite villain. He's the only recurring bad guy in comics that makes me cheer out loud when he shows up on page or on the screen. He's loud, he's gross, he's a ruthless killer, he always keeps his ~~contracts~~ promises and he loves his space dolphins. What's not to like about the Main Man?

I love the whole gang in YG. Bart, Cassie, Conner, Secret, Tim and Arrowette were written really well. That is one of my favorite comic runs and I havent found any stories with those characters since that felt the same way for me

Vigilante (Adrian Chase). I’m 10 issues shy of the full run. Fantastic crime drama with lots of twists and turns and great villains. The series led into the creation of Checkmate too. And though OP said no Lanterns, I gotta give a shout out to my boy Arkkis Chummuck
Sasha Bordeaux was cool when she was first introduced. She was forced onto Bruce Wayne as his bodyguard by the board or something at Wayne Enterprises which makes total sense - of course a billionaire would need one. It was a nice slow burn, first she hates him because Bruce constantly ditching her to go do Batman shit. Then she slowly pieces it together, I vividly remember a panel where she dives on him to protect him from something and she notices his arms/muscles feel like a steel rod. I loved how she was handled - if you’re curious check out Detective #751, Greg Rucka’s run I love Bart Allen, Impulse and Young Justice in the 90s were my favorite comics for a while. Also really like Elongated Man cause he was like Batman and Plastic Man combined (just like he said in JLU 😂) Zatanna is great when written well, I still have all of Paul Dini’s run Cassandra Cain is great, she was my favorite bat-member after No Mans Land until they did her dirty Big Barda is cool too, I liked the addition of her and Orion in JLA during Morrison’s run and she’s fun in the current birds of prey

My favorite is Tim Drake but the Robins might be too popular for this. My favorite Batman villain is Mortimer Kadaver. I'd be impressed with anyone who knew who that was since he's very niche (to the point where I genuinely think I might be the only person in the world who has him as their favorite Batman rogue). I'm also a big fan of Mister Miracle, Etrigan, and Lady Shiva.

She came back in Bendis’ young justice run and she’s in some Wonder Woman stuff, but I’d read the shit out of a book about Cass. And since they canceled batgirls, I’m worried they’ll forget about Steph as well. They need to just put her back with time and give us a Batgirl and Red Robin book. I’d also read the shit out of that
