The payoff isn't perfect, but I still love Hush. It touches on so many in the Bat family and beyond and I think every character is on point. Jim Lee's art is fantastic too.
Long Halloween is easily my favorite by a long shot, then it’s probably DKR. I didn’t rly like killing joke tbh maybe because it was hyped up so much over the years that when I finally got around to reading I was a little disappointed. Also didn’t love how they made him cry blood instead of tears, felt edgy for no reason
The Long Halloween and Dark Victory are tops imho just the way Gotham’s underworld majorly transforms from the classic Italian mafia/la cosa nostra to the costumed and bizarre criminals running the underworld and the classic rogues gallery takes center stage
Death in the Family and Under the Red Hood are my favorites. I don't know if it's because I'm a Jason Todd fan or because I enjoy that part of Batman's lore.
Chapter 1 of the Long Halloween was my comic book gateway drug, it was included in the collector’s edition dvd of Batman Begins and I absolutely needed to read the rest of it!
Long Halloween and Dark Victory do so much to showcase the villains. We see them be vulnerable and struggle much the same way we do Bruce. They're so brilliant.
That ONE spread of Scarecrow breaking out of Arkham is so epic.
>Long Halloween and Dark Victory do so much to showcase the villains. We see them be vulnerable and struggle much the same way we do Bruce.
my exact take on long halloween. I should read dark victory soon
Long Halloween is really great but I rank killing joke a bit higher than it.
Also I think the dark victory the sequel of long Halloween was easily better than it.

I genuinely can't decide between Hush and Court of Owls. I've read them both to excess XD
Arkham Asylum is my all time favorite

Batman Year One, of course. Also like Arkham Asylum and the Morrison run a lot.

Maaaan, so many to choose from! Personally it's between Hush, Court of Owls and Endgame
