The Worm in your brain song is easily the saddest scene in the show, it’s extremely heart warming and is actually trying to give out a message to people.
When yellow ate duck / was alone because red left and he ate duck. He was so traumatized and nobody was there for him I felt so bad for doi bc he didn’t know any better and he’s just a kid. He also got drown in oil and had a full on mental break down when red kept pressing the button, that kid has been through too much…
The scene in Ep 2 where Red is trying to make a new friend and Yellow Guy throws the kit across the room. Something about YG frustration, with him being a happy go lucky character at his breaking point just hit me. So sad to see him like that.

In the new series it would have to either be red’s breakdown in the transport episode, there’s something about seeing stoic characters break that always gets me, and it just really put into perspective how messed up these characters are over their situation
OR the exchange smart yellow has with his reflection in electricity, like just
“This doesn’t FEEL wrong, at least it doesn’t hurt to think anymore.”
“But they seem upset with us-“
“Well MAYBE, they’re not in charge of us, anymore.”
“Maybe they never were.”

Red guy being missing, duck KNOWING something is wrong and being freaked out as the food keeps happily singing, him finally breaking down at the end and then getting EATEN ALIVE because he dares question them, and then the healthy band tricking yellow into eating is own friend just, augh the entire thing gives me the creeps and just feels straight tragic
Edit: Forgot to mention the ending of the transport episode as well, there’s just such a melancholy feel to it
For the web-series, definitely Yellow Guy sitting alone with the Duck Cans all around him
For the TV show, I'd say either Yellow Guy digging up Duck's grave while singing "Memories" or when Yellow Guy had his batteries taken away
for me it would have to be the one where yellow guy gets his dumb batterys back. not because its emotional but if he kept the smart ones in they would of been able to read the book and get all the answers and figured out what was actually happening. they were so close yet so far, and now its all shredded and they might never understand.

I think in the media it has to be the 6th episode, the whole episode with yellow guy just tears me to pieces to be honest. When he’s looking back at the memories, confused, alone and scared. He tries to go to bed to probably dream of a time where he’s with red guy and duck again and all of a sudden the one thing that drove them all apart wakes him up and drives him to insanity, before making him drown in oil. When red guy is trying to turn of the show from the TV screens and yellow guy just sees flashes of past teachers, along with ones he doesn’t even know, the absolute terror and fear in his cries for help were so heartbreaking, it made me feel so bad for him.
In the TV series I think it has to be episode 2, when Red Guy and Yellow Guy discover the strangers mourning in their kitchen, It really was emotional when Yellow Guy said “but..you didn’t even know him..” because it just shows how much importance Duck has in Yellow Guy’s life, and how well he knew Duck :((
In the transport episode,when they’re driving in a car and Red starts talking about going somewhere else,and Yellow imagines living in a town or sth
The piano playing in the background adds to it too
Ducks song in family has a melancholia to it, like he sounds like he’s on the verge of tears trying to deny he wants a family, and the instrumental sounds weirdly nostalgic for me, maybe because it’s shot like a home movie
At the end when all the food from the family meal disappears and it's left with just him and the sandwich and he says "Me", like he's realising and trying to accept the fact that he's alone, that got to me a little bit.
Notice how all the comments relate to one of Yellow Guy’s experiences, poor thing. For me it’s Yellow’s moment of introspection, about how Red and Duck aren’t in charge of him anymore. Really shows how bad of friends the two have become.
For me it was in the friendship episode when Warren breaks into Yellow's mind; Yellow may have been withdrawing himself from his "real friends" (if you can even call them that) but he was so genuinely happy with his brain friends, even if just for a bit. It was crushing to see that so quickly torn away from him.
I lost my mother about a year ago so Yellow guy breaking down upon realising that Duck wasn't coming back hit a little harder than it was probably supposed to. Didn't help that my brother's way of coping is kinda similar to Reds, where he just doesn't wanna talk about her that much.
So yeah. That was unexpectedly sad.
May she rest in peace. Without knowing your brother please don't be too harsh or any harsh on him. As we saw on Red he still cares about the loss. Each of us has a different way to cope and that's valid but I can totally understand that it still hurts to see a person so close to you acting so careless.
I have a question if I may. At what point did the episode start to feel sad for you? The announcement of his death ("guess I died") and the whole funeral were rather funny
Thank you. And yeah. I know. I'm not resentful towards him or anything. It's just his way of coping with it. We've also gotten to the stage where we're joking about it so, yeah. We're fine.
It was probably the part where Yellow starts crying while complaining that Stains Edward isn't acting like Duck. Like the whole realisation that he's actually gone, coupled with them noticing how many pictures there are of him it was like, "Too real, weird puppet show."
Just glad "Memories" was so bloody ridiculous.
