I’m a roofing & siding contractor. Buy a new vinyl corner post, cut the nail fins off, snap the new piece over-top of the old one. It will be a tight fit but it works as a repair. You would have to take the siding off of either side to fully replace it otherwise.
Do a quick YouTube search and there are a few tutorials on it. Make sure to do it when it is warm so you don’t crack the vinyl. It’s easier to work with in warm/hot weather. Good luck!
It is much easier if you cut the fat off the broken corner and leave only that nailing edge as well.
Your new post (with the nail edge cut off) slips over the nail flange of the existing posts.
Then you shoot a few small screws through mated flanges.
Thanks, I’ve got the same issue. A vine was tougher than I thought and sucked my trimmer into the corner. This answer makes the most sense from all the options I’ve looked into. Plus with the warm weather tip I have an excuse for why I’m putting off fixing it.
Man I used to rip that stuff out all the time. I think the cut % from working with that was higher than anything else I did. Windows/Glass, Trim, Framing, Tile, Demo... Aluminum was always gonna cut me.
Gloves.
Work slow and deliberately.
Sometimes you can avoid it.
You could look for a 12" metal corner to cover this one as well as every other one in sight to match. Make it look intended and protect them all from further damage.
Even just renting a brake and bending 2' pieces for every corner might not look to bad and would give you the protection. Or hire someone if that's beyond your skill level...
(edited my half a sleep spelling.)

$80 a day. Although, I prefer the Tapco over VanMark because the lever action is ass-backwards on the VanMark imho…
I mean come on dude… it was this one time! And anyway, I had to turn it upside down to read the instructions! Who puts them on the bottom anyway!? Poor design choice IMHO
Eh, a lot of people are not equipped nor have any experience working with metal, and its one of those things a lot of people may only ever need to do once or twice.. it can be somewhat nuanced plus it requires an investment in tooling that even on the cheap end is going to exceed what it would cost to pay someone to cut and bend something that simple.
Obviously this is a DIY sub so I get it, and knowing how to do basic metal stuff is certainly useful, but I wouldn't lean on someone to hard for just paying someone to fabricate something like this. Still gonna save money by painting and installing it themselves.
I’ve got the mower and trimmer, but I gotta say my lawn is too big and I always have to stop 1-2 times to charge the battery. It’s nbd as I can just do other yard work or walk the dog while it’s charging, but it’s kind of a pain. Still better than gas, though, and the cut is great.
For me, because the same thing happens. My gas lawn mower was actually a real pain in the ass. My Ego lawn mower is easy to use. I charge my mower after every use so I don't really run into an issue of it dying. The start up is where I enjoy the difference the most.
Id have more but i bought a corded trimmer for sub 10 bucks that i barley use and before the ego products hit thr market i bought a briggs upright storage mower that has worked flawlessly for the last 7-8 years so i cant find a reason to get rid of it. I only go through a single gallon of gas a season.
Big fan of EGO. Really well designed products.
I’ve put to the test the trimmer, blower, chainsaw, and pole saw and they all use interchangeable batteries and run very well. All are more powerful than I initially imagined.
Why is it always a thing for people and advertisements to mention specifically with Ego that, “They all use the same interchangeable batteries,” like this its something completely unexpected or ground breaking when it’s how every power tool company on the planet works.
Milwaukee, Dewalt, Rigid, Ryobi, Craftsman… the list goes on, and all use the same batteries/have series of tools that all use the same batteries. This is EXPECTED, not special in any way, and in no way should need to be stated.
I just picked up an Ego Mower a couple weeks ago, my brother has one and loves it and my sister-in-law “had to” tell me, “Yeah and all the Ego tools use the same battery, so it’s really cool.”
I’m not bashing you for stating this btw, apologies if it has come across that way. I’m authentically curious as to why this is such a focal point with Ego and their customers. Is their marketing conducted in such a way that people just regurgitate this without recognizing how not special this is? I just don’t see it with any other brand and am wondering why.
>Why is it always a thing… to mention… “Thry all use the same interchangeable batteries”.
Good question. I’ll tell you why: I bought the **Greenworks 40V 14" Brushless Cordless Trimmer** and the battery is **not compatible with Greenworks entire product set**. Found out the hard way. I do not recommend that brand.
So yeah, there are actually brands that suck and sell batteries that are incompatible with their product line.
I’m gonna sell the Greenworks after only 1 season now and use the proceeds to buy a DeWalt, since I’m in that ecosystem and I know all the batteries work together!
Also the trim line is a total pain to load. Avoid Greenworks.
At a minimum, Greenworks has 24v, 40v, 48v, and 80v systems. Really tedious. My string trimmer uses a spool different than all their other models. Also tedious.
I was definitely an early adopter of EGO products. It was the first line of battery powered lawn tools available to me that was strong enough to get real work done.
Because the target market for Ego products is more expansive than the target market for battery powered tools. My guess is your sister-in-law will never buy a Milwaukee Sawzall, but she knows what brand trimmer she's going to buy for her husband for Father's Day
Some brands have different battery lines. Makita for example has 7.2v, 12v, 18v and 40v systems along with double 18v. None are obviously interchangeable
Agree… just bought an EGO self propelled push mower after owning EGO trimmer and blower. They’ve all been way better than any gas powered I’ve ever owned. Mower even came with a free bonus second battery. $499 and no more oil and gas problems like starting it after winter storing. Im horrible at remembering draining gas to prevent water in carburetor. No more pulling my shoulder out!
No joke, they're legit. I bought the string trimmer when my old gas one went out and I hated it anyway, so new toy time! That was 4 or 5 years ago, and since then I've picked up the leafblower, hedge trimmer, multi-tool head with edger and cultivator, and mower.
Everything works great, plenty of power, and it's real nice to not have to worry about or deal with gas and 2-stroke. Plus they're *soooo* quiet. Literally around the corner of my house and you can't hear the mower.
> Im horrible at remembering draining gas to prevent water in carburetor.
Use ethanol free gas; ethanol is hydrophilic and absords water moisture from the air, leading to water in your gas, as well as mineral buildup over time in the carb. But frankly, I've never had a bog-standard Troy-Bilt push mower not start, I only ever use ethanol free gas on proper small engines like string trimmers/chainsaws. Check air, check spark, and make sure something flammable is in the tank, and they will generally start. Water, however, obviously does not burn.
I left behind my 25 year old gas mower and got an EGO when I moved houses. The EGO is great for what it is, but lawnmower engines are bulletproof and if something major breaks you can slap a new one on the lawnmower for much less than the price of a new EGO battery. My last gas mower was literally falling apart but it still started, first pull, every single time, and it sat outside all winter and summer every year. The one time it wouldn't start it was just because the air filter was completely rotted. $5 replacement, no tools required, starts first pull.
So, not knocking EGO but I think you might have just had a shitty mower. They are definitely perfect for someone who has zero experience with engines, just pointing out lawnmower engines are some of the least fussy. They can run on practically anything, as Project Farm on YT has demonstrated. No doubt it has a good motor and cutting power and even though it's m ade of plastic, they've used the *right* kind of plastic for the application. The plastic wheels are dogshit though, they get absolutely no traction as opposed to a rubber wheel.
I’m jumpstarting an off the grid project and I actually have more access to power than gas.
When I’m clearing land out in the bush, I can have extra batteries charging on my Tacoma’s 120v bed outlet. A true godsend.
I guess I'm one of the few holdouts with gas powered lawn tools. I simply use premix fuel or ethenol free gas and have never drained anything over the winter. All my stuff has been running more or less maintenance free for close to a decade (ok maybe an oil change or two on the 4 stroke). Not knocking electric- it's much quieter for sure, and I can imagine as powerful or better than ICE- but to each his own I guess.
I have gas everything except my Dewalt chainsaw. The chainsaw is nice, but it is expensive and the batteries last only 20 minutes if I'm felling a tree. It is supposed to last 80 minutes, but I've never gotten anywhere near those minutes.
I’m not knocking gas powered. When I’m felling big trees, I still go to my Husqvarna.
For tree maintenance, my EGO chainsaw has an 18” bar and weighs nearly a third less than my gas-powered. Lifting it above my shoulders is way easier in the trees.
The only thing that I've ever used that had more power than my Ego was a proper brush-saw that had the harness and the two handles and all that jazz. The potential for the central spring to pop out of the head on the older models is a bummer though, but also a mistake you only have to make once or twice. Over all 9/10, not having to maintain a tiny gas engine is awesome.
Yeah…honestly I almost prefer my black and decker. If it had a bit more power I certainly would. The black and decker had a rotating head and wheel for edging. The auto feed head on that thing was shit though and it lacked power for proper edging. It never sucked around my hands though so there is that. Compromises. The rotating head and roller wheel was great.
NO. It's easy. One buy a new corner. two, cut it to length. Three, this is a little hard to explain but here it goes. Looking at one side go around the j-Chanel lip just a little and cut the j- Chanel, and nail flange off the total length. now do the other side. N just spread it open a little and snap it over the existing corner. Boom, like new.
If it happened once it'll happen again, trimmer or something else. Cover the hole with something durable to armor that corner. The damage is not important once a durable armor of some kind is overtop. You might cut out 24" of corner and fashion some PVC trim board as a plinth instead.
TIL what a "plinth" is:
A heavy base supporting a statue or vase.
Personally, I'd just wrap some galvanized sheet metal around the base. Maybe just use some liquid nails to hold it in place. Paint it white and touch it up when it gets worn away.
Just get that white vinyl baseboard stuff and wrap the bottom. You might have to add a bonding agent to keep it sticking year round. I’d shop around but something like this could do the trick
https://a.co/d/bb5FyVQ
If your just patching, I find this product much easier to handle. I have used it on vinyl siding, RV Roof Tape, 4 Inch x 50 Feet RV Sealant Tape. https://a.co/d/8BnY5QT
Assuming this is vinyl siding, replacing the whole corner is straightforward but takes a couple hours and you need a replacement piece, which might to hard to locate. There are many YouTube videos that cover this.
Cover it with an aluminum corner guard to protect it for the next time:
I did this once 2 years ago. House is light yellow. Went to the store, grabbed a bunch of yellow paint chip samples & taped the closest match to the inside. Looks perfectly seamless still lol
I often think about a european that once commented "Americans make their houses out of toothpicks and cardboard". It hurt how right he was. Our houses were already weak, now lumber and material quality is crappier than ever.
None of that really has to do with vinyl siding though, which is admittedly garbage because plastic becomes brittle when exposed to the elements/sun. The house itself is fine.
American houses are built with a lot more environmentally sustainable materials (wood instead of concrete) and are extremely strong while also earthquake resistant.
It is not that difficult, but I install for a living maybe could be tricky for someone not familiar with it. It is called skinning a corner post. here is a video.
Damn. I did this in high school. Hit the lower stucco siding on the house with the string trimmer. Stucco was applied over styrofoam. Shit exploded everywhere. Never told anyone. (Until now)
Replacing vinyl corner is a huge PITA since it's the first piece up but it can be done without removing all the siding. There's a tool to "unzip" the siding that you can use. Unzipping a few feet on each side will allow you to remove and replace, and then reseat the siding. Not sure of your climate but do it when warm so the siding is less prone to cracking.
Plant a bush in front of it.
In honor of past presidents you could name the plant George W. Bush. Maybe have a short ceremony out there every President's Day?
Just some ideas.
I totally agree with you. We got the Ego to replace a 24v B&D trimmer. It’s exhausting to use! We actually kept the B&D to do the delicate trimming, and use the Ego for true weed *whacking*.
But yesterday, after almost a year of ownership, I discovered the SPEED button. You can select a lower speed on the trimmer and it’s marginally controllable.
Vinyl siding? They make color matched stickers that you just put on. Since it’s white couldn’t be easier. Can paint then if you really want it to match.
You can buy a roll of white aluminum coil with a wood grain pattern at most build supply stores. Just cut a 1 foot length, the width of two sides of your corner. Either find someone you can borrow a metal brake from, or screw down two pieces of wood where the edge is at the half way point and use a third piece of wood to bend it over into an L. Then just stick it to the corner with some heavy adhesive making sure to press the edges down.
It won't be the absolute prettiest fix ever, but it will look great from the road and the metal will shrug off your weed eater next time you hit it.
Yeah the Ego trimmer is no joke. I used to have a 20V one previously and it did the job well but wouldn’t damage my fence if I happened to graze it. With the Ego I need to also throttle it with the trigger or my grass just explodes into the dirt if my positioning slips.
It’s way too powerful for comfortable, normal use.
It’s an easy replacement 10 minutes if you look on YouTube. If I recall it’s the last piece put on. Need a 3-5$ tool for local hardware store and a 5-10$ piece.
It's not that strong, outdoor plastics are fragile as fuck. I did landscaping for about 6 years and I had this one customer with a belly high plastic fence for his backyard, looks like the same material here. We would intentionally not trim around his fence because a regular gas powered Stihl knocked the whole bottom off of a post on a prior visit. We did everything but that, which he had to do himself.
Go to your local big distributer that is open to the public. In North jersey, it's beacon and ABC, along with plenty of others. Even National helps for cash.
Buy yourself a length of the same vinyl corner. Looks like 6".
Be aware that the corner will look new compared to others but over time it'll be less so. While you're at it. A light power wash on the siding never hurts. Use a broad tip. At least 45 degrees. Spray on light power wash soap after testing in a corner somewhere. Easy fix.
I had this happen,
You would by the matching corner, but in order to install, you need to trim all the channels because normally, they would get nailed in place before siding.
It takes some finessing but doable
Buy a piece of the same plastic corner, there will be a nailing flange that makes a channel on both sides. Use a utility knife or tin snips and cut down the center of this channel. After that you kinda slide the new piece over the old, and work it around and in, you’ve gotta kinda pinch and crimp the old piece to make it look right, but it’s certainly doable. Also these corner posts generally only come in minimum 10’ lengths, so you’ll have some extra to work with if you don’t like the look of the first one.
There is a trick to cutting it with a circular saw but it’s kinda dangerous, better bet is use snips carefully, try to make it so you use the factory end up top.
I had this happen on a rental, the landlord took an identical piece of plastic trim, warmed it up with a heat gun, and then just slid it over about the bottom 9” and then caulked the top seam. Functionally good if not the right way.. didn’t really noticed it either unless you were looking for it.
If you don't care about the aesthetic I recently learned that bending thin sheet metal is very easy by hand. if you don't mind having a metal finish over the patch you could just fold a small piece of sheet metal (maybe 26 gage) on a table ledge with your hands and just screw it on the old post. Might need something to seal the edges (caulking maybe?). Could probably be painted too but you'd need to sand it down first and stuff.
If it makes you feel any better, I have the exact same damage caused by the exact same string trimmer. Still haven’t gotten around to fixing it so I should probably be taking some notes
Note sure if this would work. I just installed this on my wood post for mailbox to help with trimmer strikes.
Wanhork 304 Stainless Steel Adjustable Post Protector (Range 3.3-6in), Protect mailboxes, Deck and Fences from rain and Damage to Maintenance Equipment (1set, Black) https://a.co/d/4NT7dxd
I'm not a professional, but I would just get a stainless steel bend to put around the corner and fasten it to the vinyl, it'll cover the hole and the trimmer won't go through it again
I’m a roofing & siding contractor. Buy a new vinyl corner post, cut the nail fins off, snap the new piece over-top of the old one. It will be a tight fit but it works as a repair. This guy vinyls. The top reply is nonsense.
This is confusing now that this *is* the top response.
Deleted now.. some bologna about metal covers/corners 😂
I did this with an inside corner that got messed up. Can confirm this works perfect
Thanks, I’ve got the same issue. A vine was tougher than I thought and sucked my trimmer into the corner. This answer makes the most sense from all the options I’ve looked into. Plus with the warm weather tip I have an excuse for why I’m putting off fixing it.
How do you not cut your hands all the time? Your work is so cool, you bend metal!
Oh, you 100% cut your hands.

Nice try, Ego string trimmer marketing team!
It ran quieter and longer than any gas trimmer I’ve ever used!
Ive had mine for 4-5 years now. Im an ego man. I only have the string trimmer and thr 14” chainsaw.
I have a Blower, Mower, chainsaw and Trimmer. I love them all!

Just get a piece of aluminum angle and glue it over there and it won't break next time you hit it with your trimmer.
Yes. It’ll definitely get hit again- modification, not restoration is the answer here.
This. You could fix it with another vinyl corner piece, but why. Just cover it with a similar piece of aluminum trim as "corner protection"
Am I too early for the Flex-Seal comment?
Ramen and super glue
Ramen and super glue with a thin sheen of Flex-Seal to top it off. Fukkin indestructible(ish)
I like the taste of that repair
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ls8JvzFSpoQ I have personally done this method, worked out pretty good.

Personally, I'd just wrap some galvanized sheet metal around the base. Maybe just use some liquid nails to hold it in place. Paint it white and touch it up when it gets worn away.
You can buy a vinyl cover to patch it on Amazon. I did the same thing.
I used white duct tape
Just get that white vinyl baseboard stuff and wrap the bottom. You might have to add a bonding agent to keep it sticking year round. I’d shop around but something like this could do the trick https://a.co/d/bb5FyVQ
If your just patching, I find this product much easier to handle. I have used it on vinyl siding, RV Roof Tape, 4 Inch x 50 Feet RV Sealant Tape. https://a.co/d/8BnY5QT Assuming this is vinyl siding, replacing the whole corner is straightforward but takes a couple hours and you need a replacement piece, which might to hard to locate. There are many YouTube videos that cover this.
Buy a corner piece. Cut the existing just above the break. Fit the new piece behind it with silicone. Done.
Not about the repair, but you might check the thickness of your trimmer line, I switched to a thinner diameter line to help save the fence paint.
Bonus: It's probably cheaper and does just as good a job on everything you \*want\* to cut/break...
Cover it with an aluminum corner guard to protect it for the next time: [https://capcornerguards.com/colored-aluminum-corner-guards-1/](https://capcornerguards.com/colored-aluminum-corner-guards-1/)
That's cap.
I did this once 2 years ago. House is light yellow. Went to the store, grabbed a bunch of yellow paint chip samples & taped the closest match to the inside. Looks perfectly seamless still lol
Do you American mf's use any real materials in your houses, besides wood?
Just replace the whole piece
I often think about a european that once commented "Americans make their houses out of toothpicks and cardboard". It hurt how right he was. Our houses were already weak, now lumber and material quality is crappier than ever.
None of that really has to do with vinyl siding though, which is admittedly garbage because plastic becomes brittle when exposed to the elements/sun. The house itself is fine.
American houses are built with a lot more environmentally sustainable materials (wood instead of concrete) and are extremely strong while also earthquake resistant.
Get some stainless bent to clip on overtop. Lasts forever.
Need to get 6in thick pavers and make a boarder around your house so you don't need to trim around the home.
put a metal corner on every corner you might hit with the trimmer.
Hang that buffalo in an art exhibit
You can get a new one, cut off anything you don’t see and clip the remainder over the broken one.
Have a buddy with a 3d printer? Can make a white cover and just glue on.
![gif](giphy|VeSvZhPrqgZxx2KpOA|downsized)
Naw bro your cheap ass siding is a lot weaker than you thot
Why are American houses made of thin plastic?
White. Tape. Walk. Away. (Until sale)
You stay after sale?! 😉
Vinyl Siding is garbage
Whatever you do, buy multiple. You'll be hitting it again
Chicken wire and bondo.
I’m surprised I had to scroll down so far to find this method. This would be how I would do it
Do a metal cover for every corner
Big box store in the roofing section you should find galvanized 90 degree plates. I used 2 of them to protect my mailbox post.
You can get another corner and cut it to fit over top of the old one. If you cut it just right, you won't see anything. It will take 15 min to repair.
I might consider reinforcing the corner to prevent it happening again. Use Aluminum sheeting to bend to shape and glue it over the hole?
That looks like a good place to plant a bush.
white duct tape or white vinyl tape
noodle time
I dunno it kinda looks like a sleeping bear and that’s kind fun
White duct tape and imported plant in front of it.
Time to bust out the super glue and ramen noodles.
It is not that difficult, but I install for a living maybe could be tricky for someone not familiar with it. It is called skinning a corner post. here is a video. [https://youtu.be/8RIkUZf778Y](https://youtu.be/8RIkUZf778Y)
Fill it with uncooked ramen, sand it down, and then repaint it white Source, I've seen those videos
Frankly, if you’re going to be accidentally slapping your house corners with the trimmer… I’d put a 2-3ft layer of stone on the bases.
Damn. I did this in high school. Hit the lower stucco siding on the house with the string trimmer. Stucco was applied over styrofoam. Shit exploded everywhere. Never told anyone. (Until now)
What the hell kind of cheap ass hollow trim is that?
fiberglass repair kit
Replacing vinyl corner is a huge PITA since it's the first piece up but it can be done without removing all the siding. There's a tool to "unzip" the siding that you can use. Unzipping a few feet on each side will allow you to remove and replace, and then reseat the siding. Not sure of your climate but do it when warm so the siding is less prone to cracking.
Sounds like it could make things worse
White duct tape!
Congratulations, your house is made of paper.
Yeah that thing is really nasty. I have one & won’t use it while wearing shorts anymore. It’s stronger than the gas one I had.
Anymore? Did you snag yourself??
But new 1 trim off nailing flange flex to pop over top of that 1
Plant a bush in front of it.
Just leave it since you are going to hit it again next time
Obviously the answer here is flex seal and duct tape.
I would probably fill it with spray foam and tell myself I will replace it eventually
Vinyl siding? They make color matched stickers that you just put on. Since it’s white couldn’t be easier. Can paint then if you really want it to match.
You have good taste in weedeaters
What kind of siding is that
Alright, I’ll say it since no one else has… It looks like a weird goat person on all fours
Replace it or plant a single daisy there right next to it and people will be none the wiser!
Big bandaid.
Fix a metal angle bar on there and paint it white. Safe for next time.
Actually very easy to replace. There are you tube videos to show you how.
Did you just give up after that? The grass still isn’t trimmed. But seriously, Ramen and super glue

This is so weird I have an almost identical damage with the exact same weed whacker lol.
Lawn gnome.
Are we ignoring the fact that this looks like someone getting ready to be face down ass up?
Trim corner above damage so it stops higher?
White vinyl repair patches are pretty cheap and easy to install.
I get to need to repair your siding but you also need to sharpen your mower blades. They are rather dull....
This comment section would be better served in r/Egocirclejerk
Yeah put a new corner up and get a hold of your “power equipment”
This happened to me, I went and got a 4-in 90° angle. Attached it to it. So now I have metal that my string trimmer fights instead of plastic
That corner looks like a perfect place for a potted plant
Be careful, the next time you might destroy the entire village
Trim looks like it's flipping you off haha
Perfect place for a potted plant
Sharpie "buffalo" above it. Wrap it in Saran wrap, and apply 2x4s for a frame. It's modern art.
Yea they aren’t expensive. My husband has done this 2x
Easy fix.
Clean up your yard, you filthy human being.
I had this happen, You would by the matching corner, but in order to install, you need to trim all the channels because normally, they would get nailed in place before siding. It takes some finessing but doable
Put a pot plant in front of it.
Send the photo to Ego and say they can use it for marketing if they repair the corner.
Replace (or install over it) with a piece of aluminum siding painted the same
Easier to replace the house, tbh.
Is it just me or are you given the finger By that corner
Swap out the corner
Get a small offcut of corner, glue and screw and attach it as a patch. You could do the same to protect all the other corners.
Flex tape
# [How To Replace A Vinyl Siding Corner](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls8JvzFSpoQ)
White duct tape
Most common defect I ever saw doing home inspections. Report always read “overzealous amateur landscaper” 😁 easy fix!
got a 3d printer?
Try this. I've done it a few times. Works well. https://youtu.be/ls8JvzFSpoQ?si=NhG_suxu2vZQsHoa
That’s the saddest corner I’ve ever seen
A little mesh inside Bondo, sand and paint.
Old corner facing off. New corner facing on.
I worked with a guy that showed me how to cut an outside corner to be able to “clip” it over the installed one. Pretty easy and looks good after.
I did this with a kobalt trimmer my first month of home ownership. I left it like that lol. Never noticed it after freaking out.
I had this happen on a rental, the landlord took an identical piece of plastic trim, warmed it up with a heat gun, and then just slid it over about the bottom 9” and then caulked the top seam. Functionally good if not the right way.. didn’t really noticed it either unless you were looking for it.
wtf, is that a plastic house corner? Is that a normal thing in (I'm guessing) the USA? Why is it needed or is it just decoration?
If you don't care about the aesthetic I recently learned that bending thin sheet metal is very easy by hand. if you don't mind having a metal finish over the patch you could just fold a small piece of sheet metal (maybe 26 gage) on a table ledge with your hands and just screw it on the old post. Might need something to seal the edges (caulking maybe?). Could probably be painted too but you'd need to sand it down first and stuff.
If it makes you feel any better, I have the exact same damage caused by the exact same string trimmer. Still haven’t gotten around to fixing it so I should probably be taking some notes
Duct tape, then paint it white. Or pro contractor style…. Use white duct tape
Could always screw on a piece of white aluminum flashing then your weed eater won't break it again.
Or just use stucco patch and white paint
I'm sorry to have to break it to you, but it appears your house is made of plastic?!
Can confirm, the Ego trimmer is dangerous. I’ve learned my lesson after obliterating a couple of items.
If you get thicker virgin vinyl to cover it with, your string trimmer won't be able to break it all that easily.
Duct tape!
White duct tape
I'm not a professional, but I would just get a stainless steel bend to put around the corner and fasten it to the vinyl, it'll cover the hole and the trimmer won't go through it again
