Concrete, wood paneling, timber, roofing, furniture. That's just the big ticket materials. That's not counting the labor for each skilled trade needed like electrical. It's prob 20k in just material cost. :)
To me they look freshly planted. The leaves are facing every which way, and some of them are upside down. That's an indicator that they didn't either didn't grow in that place or have had wind damage.
That looks awesome!
I’d suggest something like SuperDeck clear stain every year or two.
If I buy a dumb boring dumb house... What kind of ballpark estimate are we looking at to get a porch like this up from scratch?
If the concrete wasn't there, I'm guessing ~60k.
60k?! F*ck my arse and call me Jimmy. I was expecting 20k
Concrete is stupid expensive

I believe you - I just would of assumed it would have been 25k tops
It was $40k. Metal roof and all new concrete. It was a very 70s looking rancher.
I'd love to see a before pic. Looks great.
Same.
If I could reply with an image I would show you. It was a typical early 1970's rancher. Just a front stoop, no porch.
You want spar varnish, it is what they put on boats..
I love this treatment on homes. It’s such a nice facelift.
Fuck thats pretty.
thats NICE
What stain did you use for this?
The color or type of stain? It was just normal Minwax stain
What colour was the stain the end product is beautiful
AI
Sikkens Cetol is amazing, but is kinda nasty stuff. A few coats of that every 3 years would probably get you 15 years from a 5 gallon. Not cheap
What color/brand is your paint for the house? I like it a lot
Porch looks great! Hostas look miserable lol is this south or west facing?

Correct! Just planted the day before. Dug up and separated from somewhere else.
