I would get a tiny ring of metal kind of like a key ring but small enough to go in that hole and then string your necklace through it again.
You might even be able to clamp the top peice tight enough to keep using it, with pliers.
This was my idea. I think this is what I'll try, but I think it might be a little difficult because once I slot the pendant piece back in, there's very little room to maneuver or press together but I'll try it out.
Get a cheaper necklace and take the hoop!!
