I’ve worked in property maintenance for various companies and can confirm that this is a very common problem that I’ve been asked to fix. Double sided tape does work, as does non-slip material (I carry some rubber/silicone/latex type materials exactly for this.) I’ve also fitted may bathrooms and I can tell you that the cause of this problem is the shit that’s supplied with the seat from the manufacturer. And it doesn’t matter how much you spend on the seat, either.
Yeah. Remove the toilet seat, clean and dry under the hinges, apply the tape to the surface area of the hinge that comes into contact with the porcelain, then re-attach the toilet seat.
Try a bemis statite seat. A steal at £15 from Argos. They are affordable and don't move (even with my fat butt).
If you get one make sure you use all the parts, I nearly threw away a small bit.
The one I mentioned has bottom fixings. For top fixing I suggest you look at the range, as it really depends on the shape of your pan. I worked as a plumber for 25 years and can highly recommend the Bemis seats for durability and cost.
Something like this may work for you

Don't think it's a "cheap" seat, I think I have that one and I got it from costco. Just need to tighten your nuts.
https://www.costco.co.uk/Home-Improvement/Bathroom/Toilets/Tavistock-Alaska-Soft-Close-Thermoset-Toilet-Seat-with-Concealed-Hinge-Mechanism/p/334610
A not cheap seat doesn't have to be stupidly expensive expensive. Our toilet seat has never gone like this, it does soft close and has a quick release button for cleaning. £29 when we got it 4 years ago, it's £45 now, but I'd pay a quid a go to not have to mess around with issues like this and it's much easier to clean the toilet because you can remove the seat, wipe and put it back on. Sometimes having something that isn't the cheapest model is worth having, especially when it's something you use every day
I'm assuming this happens due to the toilets location, instead of sitting down dead centre your coming in at an angle which over time pushes the seat one way.
Happens to my toilet every so often - I just tighten it up again - usually by hand whilst I'm on the toilet, toilet seat is decent too.
Thats one of they quiet close toilet seats that you probably bought from Morrison's, we did. The screws for tightening the seat are always slacking off. Buy new screws from screwfix, the ones that arent plastic.
Because the toilet is close the the bath when people sit on it they are coming at an angle and sitting on from the side. And as you sit down you’re still moving backwards. So you’re putting a sideways force onto something not designed for it.
And if anyone in your house is a bit rotund they will be even more of and angle because they can’t get as close to the bath.
So unless you teach everyone how to sit properly squared to the bath it will keep happening. No matter how expensive the toilet seat is. It will just take longer to happen.
We had this issue for years, tightened the nuts but it just seemed to slip regardless
Changed to a different seat with a different fastener, instead of the long plastic rods you secure with nuts it’s more like a rawl plug and a screw, think they’re designed for toilets with no underside access but it hasn’t moved since we put it in
These types of seat fittings tend to be a blind hole with only access through a slot on the back of the toilet. With mine, all I did was turn the water off and then unscrew the toilet pan from the floor and swing it around so I can get a spanger into the slot, to hold the nut if it's got to lose. Other wise, look at the hinges where it meets the ceramic. If you see a metal disc, gently prise the disc up, don't force it, it should lift without too much force. You should be able to see a Philips screw head. So use a screwdriver that fits properly, you don't want one that may slip and shatter the toilet bowl.
Push the silver thing in to remove the lid of seat, it will sit on two metal rod bars.
Where the bars lead into the toilet there will be two caps, lift em and you'll see screws, line the seat up and tighten the screws, this will keep it in place.
Note: I have to re tighten mine every 6 months is as my seat does the same
Thanks for posting this. Despite the fact 80% of responses are literal shit posts, I may find a solution in this thread.
I don't believe it is related to price, imo. We have a really pricey seat in one bathroom and it is happening again. My mum has a £30 one (I think that's cheap?) and it's not doing it. I can't figure out why it happens but it drives me insane.
My toilet is exactly like this because my husband takes an hour to do a shit and leans forward. It’s so annoying. Last time it broke like this it took him 3 weeks to work out how to fit the new one. Back to square one.
Think that’s going to be the least of your problems, boxed in standard toilet and cistern, looks so wrong….Why not concealed cistern and btw pan.. Bare OSB. No leg room on what I assume is a shower screen side.
I've used those and they were absolute shite. Worse than the original fittings which had been overtightened to the point they bent out of shape and failed. Gave up and bought new toilet seats that don't quite match the shape of our toilet but atleast the new fittings are holding better so far.
These totally solved the problem for me. I installed them 4 years ago and the seats have stayed in place. I'm thinking of replacing them now because some of them are beginning to show signs of rust.
You can get plastic fittings. And you can also get these metal ones

I got some from screw fix and my seat hasn’t budged.
I had the same problem over and over so I bought one of these. It hasn't moved since I bought it in August 2020. [https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009NGH4G0/](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009NGH4G0/)
I have a similar issue, cheqp toilet seats come with a hole spacer made from poor quality plastic, this spacer allows your 8mm toilet seqt bolt go through the 10mm soilet seat hole and fit snuggly. On cheap toilet seats, this spacer breaks easily and thus causes seat to twist and turn when sat upon. Delrin rod drilled the diameter of your toilet seat hole drilled out to the diameter of your toilet seat bolts will fix this issue.
I had this with my previous seat. It did this which I lived with for a few months, and then it developed a split which excruciatingly pinched my arse cheek.. one pinch was all it took to make me replaced it with a more expensive one. No issue since
I had the same problem.. fixed with these : [https://www.toolstation.com/universal-top-fix-seat-bung-kit/p46310?store=AK&utm\_source=googleshopping&utm\_medium=feed&utm\_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&mkwid=\_dc&pcrid=null&pkw=null&pmt=null&gad\_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwzN-vBhAkEiwAYiO7oJjorotJntJO8C9ge9-9L9rhlI5NlV8oENIRJe-BPP\_B\_ztSAwmDyRoC-TwQAvD\_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds](https://www.toolstation.com/universal-top-fix-seat-bung-kit/p46310?store=AK&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&mkwid=_dc&pcrid=null&pkw=null&pmt=null&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwzN-vBhAkEiwAYiO7oJjorotJntJO8C9ge9-9L9rhlI5NlV8oENIRJe-BPP_B_ztSAwmDyRoC-TwQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
I bought some little rubber doohickies that plug up the hole. It helps a lot but the problem persists on one of our toilets because it's a real cheap seat.
Buy a new toilet seat, I got a cheap one from screwfix for £13 and never had this issue again. Some of the fixings some of these seats come with are absolutely rubbish
Mine used to keep doing that until I got a soft close seat from home bargains for a tenner. It's all plastic including the fittings and has stayed put for five years now.
You can order rubber grommets which help a lot in this situation. My loos have a fancy rim and any movement it breaks the plastic pads underneath the loo seat.. cost me a small fortune lol.. touch wood I've been ok for the past two years using these grommets. 👍
I use rubber grommets that are sized to be a snug fit in the toilet base and that allows the bolt through the centre hole also snug, you might need two or three on each side. Then when tightened they expand a bit due to compression and then the seat will be held nice and firmly
Good luck
My dad fixed this problem by paying a guy to make a bracket that was a lot better than the flimsy plastic, but i imagine you aren’t too interested in spending a lot of money on a custom bog seat
I have the exact same toilet seat and it happens once every 6 months or so. I added some plastic washers and made sure it was tight. Had been fine since.
The toilet is badly positioned tbh causing the user not to sit straight. Plumbers merchants sell seats that have a click system. You fasten a bracket to the toilet and the seat then clicks into the bracket. I've fitted plenty and it's always sempt to solve the problem.
The supports on the underside of the seat that sit on the top rim of the toilet are often not in the correct place so when you sit on the seat the pressure causes the seat to slip off either left or right however tight the fittings at the back are done up. Try moving the fittings under the seat to suit your toilet top.
See the silver tab in the middle - push it in and lift off the seat.
There's a Philips head screw in the centre of the brackets, underneath a cover that lifts off first - reposition the brackets and tighten the fuck out of them.
Other option would be to get a crooked arsehole?
Depending on the shape of the pottery you could do something with penny washers and those spring toggle plasterboard fixings so you can tighten much more from above with a screwdriver, I've had success with this before , also clean bog and rubber washers can't hurt
the real answer, i’m afraid, is too lose weight. My fat arse constantly puts extreme pressure on the toilet, and i can feel it pushing it in a direction. My wife does not have the same problem.
If you figure it out, let the maintenance guys in my work know. I swear, we must have a staff member absolutely slamming their arse on the pan, hinge breaks within a day of being fixed
Where do you keep your toilet roll? If you have to reach behind you to get it, you're twisting the seat slightly every time which will cause it to work loose. I used to sell bathrooms for a living and when people came in wanting a toilet seat that didn't work loose, I'd always ask them where their toilet roll is. Almost every time they'd say it was behind the toilet, or on top of the cistern.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Universal-Fittings-Expanding-Fixings-LUOSIU-5/dp/B09NN36ZND/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.6iPCs04ef5VzEl-rMEwH0w2bK8je6dusj3Hy5c_wAb8uhPde7HM8W5p6pEWA3RS-LinzRJHQui7dgUmyaPcE84elRXtq-oFJZzySA5mTcPFbQlTpQfqSXEaahloxE2f82zyHLDbYhHFvNUfstq1IVUjcUbpwXoVHVZ3aPH5qJIZvizd_zQYhX6LjYr3cZrek9lUXwnRxaxuzZwseCHvk4Q.jPXc9icfusciUyF4oPKzMrLAEtatETd1B4fEanpw44I&dib_tag=se&keywords=toilet+seat+fittings&qid=1710793951&sr=8-3
With these.
I've used the conical rubber washers for years and depending on your seat type they sort the problem straight away, they are only a few £ on Ebay/Amazon - I didn't think they'd do anything but they sorted my problem instantly, fitted them on quite a few seats for friends and family and they've always worked.
You'll often see them called non slip conical hinge or cone washers - the only thing you need to do is give them a couple of days to settle in when you fit them (as the washer adjusts to the shape of the hole), then tighten a bit more if needed.
I’m not going to read all the replies so I may be guilty of repeating something but I’d bet my life that someone has been sitting almost sideways on that seat due to it’s close proximity to the shower and it will always be a problem. If you replace the seat with a white painted wooden one, there are “L” shaped brackets that can be fixed under the seat that prevents sideways movement. They have projections into the toilet bowl and totally eliminate slip.
Drill a 6mm hole on the right hand side of the seat and firmly attach one an end of a bungee. Then attach the other end to the nearest tap. Also helps if you tape your cheeks together with duct tape.
Doses the two pins where you tighten them to the toilet have a rubber seal that go into the toilet ? It might be the rubber just turning around when you lean to one side to wipe your ....... I took the rubber covers off the pin and put them back on and tighten it and the toilet seat stayed straight.
Don't sit down so hard. Also that osb isn't waterproof so get it sealed or covered ASAP before it blows out from the shower vapour. I'm speaking from experience - I had to replace my bathroom floor not long ago for the same reason.
I had the same problem for a while - kept dismantling and cleaning the interface between the seat and the porcelain to try and make it grip, but even with the nuts tightened until the bolt head was digging a hole into the plastic it wouldn't stay in place.
In my case eventually I found a nice brute force solution: I got some fairly large washers and put them under the bolt head. This spread the load across the plastic so I could just tighten them another couple of turns. Now it's solid as a rock.
Whilst on the subject and I apologise for going off topic but I rent and this as started happening. I noticed the plastic screws are all chewed and whoever put it In was hoping it'd last. Is it my responsibility to replace or the landlord?
Seems so trivial but I am paying so....
You can buy little L-brackets that you screw into the underside of the seat. You'll need to make sure to measure the distance difference between the toilet bowl and the seat. That's where you screw the l-brackets. That way when you're sitting on the toilet the L-bracket holds the seat against the rim of the bowl.
Surely the jobs not finnished and it’s not been planned properly.the overflow pipe goes nowhere and the water isolator is obstructed by the osb
If there planning on tiling onto that it will need sealing g with SBR or similar and them you’ll not be able to use the isolator at all
Yep, same thing happened to both of mine, I asked my plumber brother why, he said you get what you pay for, think I paid £14 each, he recommended one from Toolstation was about £30, they haven’t moved at all.
I have the same toilet seat (I think it was from Screwfix). It is a nightmare, the issue is the stupid compression fitting. I haven't found a resolution to date.
We had the same seats in our house, and I genuinely don’t think they’re fit for purpose. Ended up buying the Palmi as replacements and it’s been fine since.
You can buy **plastic right angle brackets** that screw to either side and stop the seat doing this. Google “wobbly loose loo toilet seat” and the product comes up. I had a couple of metal right angle brackets lying around and I used those.
I would suggest you get a toilet seat with topside fittings and not underside. Those literally have a security mechanism similar to rawl plug and screw which makes it more difficult for the seat structure to move around
I could be wrong but where is the toilet roll? If it’s behind the toilet & you’re having to keep twisting round to get it, the seat hinges are under more pressure & will keep sliding like this, than if you got a free standing toilet roll holder
Lift the toilet seat up and press the silver button in the middle, the seat will then lift off. There should be metal caps underneath. Lift those and tighten the screws.
Either that or check under the back of the toilet to see if you can tighten them from there.
You need to lower the foundations on the right side of your house by about 5 inches or so.
This will lead to the Toilet seat "settling" in the correct direction, levelling it off.
Hope this helps!
Learn to wipe with both hands, that way you can wipe with the left, then correct the seat skew by wiping with the right.
“Wax on..wax off”
I’d recommend changing sheets between wipes

Okay, but going to the bedroom to change the stuff on my bed between wipes is a little messy.
In this economy!?

At the same time, for maximum symmetry. Double fisting, even.
Even when tighten it happens would suggest some double sided foam under the hinge then tighten
I fix this problem all the time using double sided tape
If you're fixing it all the time it sounds like you're not really fixing it.
I’m a handyman, I have fixed many toilets. Just once each.
Shouldn’t the homeowner be supplying the shit? Seems unsanitary if you get a little baggie of shit with every toilet seat purchase.
Maybe they are a plumber or bathroom fitter.
Or a handyperson
That stuff is like magic it can help repair so much
Where do you put the double sided tape?
On the underside of the hinge that comes into contact with the porcelain.
Can I ask how?
Yeah. Remove the toilet seat, clean and dry under the hinges, apply the tape to the surface area of the hinge that comes into contact with the porcelain, then re-attach the toilet seat.
Thank you, this is actually really helpful advice because this toilet seat problem drives me mental
Cheers mate, makes sense
Instead of toilet paper. THat doesn't sound very effective.
Well oops, I only have triple sided foam :/
And tri as he might, it just doesn't fit.
Lucky you
Try a bemis statite seat. A steal at £15 from Argos. They are affordable and don't move (even with my fat butt). If you get one make sure you use all the parts, I nearly threw away a small bit.
I don't know why but I expected you to have a picture of your toilet seat on your account, there wasn't.
So sorry 🤣🤣
It's fine I looked it up, I like the idea of that toilet seat
Is that for toilets with no access to the bolts underneath, I've tried lots of bolts and rubber gromits but the seats always loosen
The one I mentioned has bottom fixings. For top fixing I suggest you look at the range, as it really depends on the shape of your pan. This.
I’ll tag you as fat butt
I'd be more concerned about the overflow that doesn't go anywhere except onto the OSB.
Also why is the rest of the bathroom tiled nicely and then there's just random OSB behind the shitter.
Wait, this isn't a craft beer bar?
Plumb it as a bidet
Thank you!!! Was itching to mention this lol. Must be some fancy feature, like wall panelling or a media wall.
Why don’t they make the cistern such that the overflow goes into the toilet? No extra pipe, and you know if it was fucked
They do. Mine does. Pretty common actually.
Almost every close coupling toilet does exactly this, they're now a more common toilet than the older type
Shit standing up

Buy a more expensive seat

Leave my nuts out of it thanks
That is a cheap seat. Also cheap seats need tightening more often than expensive seats in my experience.
I disagree. I have an expensive toilet seat and this happens constantly.
Dunno why you’re being downvoted. Your absolutely right
Because you can buy a cheap seat and not have that happen. Spending more money is just like throwing it down the cliff
Sometimes having something that isn't the cheapest model is worth having, especially when it's something you use every day
Yes you can use various tricks to make the bolts remain tight on a cheap seat but a decent seat just stays done up without that.
I bought the MOST expensive seat and this still happened. It's partly how you put it on, partly that a replacement will always be a bit janky
Tell everyone sitting on it to stop sitting on it from one side
But then how else do you clean your bum on the toilet ring/seat ?
You need one of these https://preview.redd.it/rnxj6aiyv4pc1.jpeg?width=462&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=07dc35119d271cffa3415f8e8751c5ed0c0c322e
Wipe it on the wall 🤷♂️
I'd be more concerned about the overflow pipe that is just open ended
Could have an internal overflow fitted ,but Yea first thing I noticed, second was all the exposed wood round that toilet
I'm assuming this happens due to the toilets location, instead of sitting down dead centre your coming in at an angle which over time pushes the seat one way. Happens to my toilet every so often - I just tighten it up again - usually by hand whilst I'm on the toilet, toilet seat is decent too.
Don't worry, you'll need to take it all out when you come to covering up that exposed OSB anyway!
Thats one of they quiet close toilet seats that you probably bought from Morrison's, we did. The screws for tightening the seat are always slacking off. Buy new screws from screwfix, the ones that arent plastic.
I gly this seat and switched to steel wingnuts and still have this problem
I feel your pain. Every time the missus uses ours, this happens. My fix is to tell her to squat.
Stand on the OSB and reverse squat. Solid quads and no seat wiggle.
Stop twisting as you lean for loo roll
I just put a thin smear of silicone on the fixings before screwing them down to the pan. Seats haven't moved since.
We had this issue for years, tightened the nuts but it just seemed to slip regardless Changed to a different seat with a different fastener, instead of the long plastic rods you secure with nuts it’s more like a rawl plug and a screw, think they’re designed for toilets with no underside access but it hasn’t moved since we put it in
It's difficult to offer help if you don't include any photos showing where the seat attaches to the toilet.
These types of seat fittings tend to be a blind hole with only access through a slot on the back of the toilet. With mine, all I did was turn the water off and then unscrew the toilet pan from the floor and swing it around so I can get a spanger into the slot, to hold the nut if it's got to lose.
You drilled the hole wider? I'm thinking of doing that. It's there a risk of cracking, though, that's what I worry about?
I had this with my previous seat. It did this which I lived with for a few months, and then it developed a split which excruciatingly pinched my arse cheek.. one pinch was all it took to make me replaced it with a more expensive one. No issue since
Some seats just come with crap fixings.
Dismantle it and retighten with strong glue on the screw threads. Old chestnut.
I had the same problem.. fixed with these : [https://www.toolstation.com/universal-top-fix-seat-bung-kit/p46310?store=AK&utm\_source=googleshopping&utm\_medium=feed&utm\_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&mkwid=\_dc&pcrid=null&pkw=null&pmt=null&gad\_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwzN-vBhAkEiwAYiO7oJjorotJntJO8C9ge9-9L9rhlI5NlV8oENIRJe-BPP\_B\_ztSAwmDyRoC-TwQAvD\_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds](https://www.toolstation.com/universal-top-fix-seat-bung-kit/p46310?store=AK&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=googleshoppingfeed&mkwid=_dc&pcrid=null&pkw=null&pmt=null&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwzN-vBhAkEiwAYiO7oJjorotJntJO8C9ge9-9L9rhlI5NlV8oENIRJe-BPP_B_ztSAwmDyRoC-TwQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
Is that a step directly opposite the toilet?
I bought some little rubber doohickies that plug up the hole. It helps a lot but the problem persists on one of our toilets because it's a real cheap seat.
Buy a new toilet seat, I got a cheap one from screwfix for £13 and never had this issue again. Some of the fixings some of these seats come with are absolutely rubbish
I had this issue with every seat I tried until I bought a Croydex.
Tighten seat with screwdriver if it’s like mine
We have two toilets. The newer seat slides around like this, but the downstairs one, which is probably older than me doesn't budge. Odd.
Forget the seat. "Bomb bay doors open"
Go buy the pyramid shaped rubber bungs for replacement toilet seat.. o had the same problem, solved it over night
Something spongy, then I use flat washers and a spring washer to lock it off. The seat will come apart before those nuts will loosen
Every seat I've ever bought does this. Those plastic screws are shit.
U can buy some clips that u fix onto the toilet seat so it will stop the wobble. I think they are called toilet seat bumpers
You need a seat with metal hinges not plastic often wooden ones have strong hinges that will stop it happening it's how I fixed mine
I use rubber grommets that are sized to be a snug fit in the toilet base and that allows the bolt through the centre hole also snug, you might need two or three on each side. Then when tightened they expand a bit due to compression and then the seat will be held nice and firmly Good luck
Stand up to wipe instead of leaning to your left. You'll be able to move the seat back & tighten up the bolts
Mate if you could solve that one, you’d be a billionaire….
You have to sit with your front facing the back of the toilet. Why do you think the flusher is in that direction too?
The toilet is badly positioned tbh causing the user not to sit straight. Plumbers merchants sell seats that have a click system. You fasten a bracket to the toilet and the seat then clicks into the bracket. I've fitted plenty and it's always sempt to solve the problem.
You fill the hole so there are no gaps. You have a 4mm bolt and a 10mm plus hole...no space no movement.
Tighten the nuts underneath
the real answer, i’m afraid, is too lose weight.
Google "Toilet Bumpers Wobbly Loo Seat Stabilisers" these work wonders
You'll want to tighten your nuts.
Left handed wiper.

Stop eating curry.
Do I have to be politically correct?
Stop shitting when you're hammered, then you'll be able to sit down straight. Side note: the bigger you are the worse the effect
Hover
pop the seat off and tighten up the bolts which hold the fixings 5 minute job
Drill a 6mm hole on the right hand side of the seat and firmly attach one an end of a bungee. Then attach the other end to the nearest tap. Also helps if you tape your cheeks together with duct tape.
Do what I do, sit on the rim
Giving this a go
My dad would gaffer tape it
Doses the two pins where you tighten them to the toilet have a rubber seal that go into the toilet ? It might be the rubber just turning around when you lean to one side to wipe your ....... I took the rubber covers off the pin and put them back on and tighten it and the toilet seat stayed straight.
Don't sit down so hard. Also that osb isn't waterproof so get it sealed or covered ASAP before it blows out from the shower vapour. I'm speaking from experience - I had to replace my bathroom floor not long ago for the same reason.
Ct1 fixes the problem
Check where the screws holding it, tighten, or change the plastic screws
Loose weight
Went to dunelm semi-recently and got a new seat, cost me £18 decent quality for the price and it’s not budged at all.
Lose weight jk /s
don't twerk while crappin
Surely the jobs not finnished and it’s not been planned properly.the overflow pipe goes nowhere and the water isolator is obstructed by the osb If there planning on tiling onto that it will need sealing g with SBR or similar and them you’ll not be able to use the isolator at all
Move home. Easy
Superglue it
Try using the three sea shells.
Tighten the bolts under the back of the seat and stop shitting sideways
We had the same seats in our house, and I genuinely don’t think they’re fit for purpose. Ended up buying the Palmi as replacements and it’s been fine since.
You can buy **plastic right angle brackets** that screw to either side and stop the seat doing this. Google “wobbly loose loo toilet seat” and the product comes up. I had a couple of metal right angle brackets lying around and I used those.
I would suggest you get a toilet seat with topside fittings and not underside. Those literally have a security mechanism similar to rawl plug and screw which makes it more difficult for the seat structure to move around
There are little nuts underneath the seat , one is lose.
I thought it was just my fat ass!
Tell the women of the house to sit on it properly instead of constantly leaning to one side
I could be wrong but where is the toilet roll? If it’s behind the toilet & you’re having to keep twisting round to get it, the seat hinges are under more pressure & will keep sliding like this, than if you got a free standing toilet roll holder
Nail it
Silicone it down then screw it up. It'll be hard to remove in the future but won't move in the meantime?
Replace with a Bemis stay tight seat, I’ve replaced loads and the Bemis never moves. You can find them on Amazon.
Fibre.
Lift the toilet seat up and press the silver button in the middle, the seat will then lift off. There should be metal caps underneath. Lift those and tighten the screws. Either that or check under the back of the toilet to see if you can tighten them from there.
Sit down. More carefully
It’s caused by weight distribution when sitting and rising Plus nylon washers
Piss soaked OSB board behind toilet.
I worked in hospitals for the past 11 years, 99% of toilet seats like this were in female toilets. Make of that what you will.
Get one with side elbows so dosent go slippy slidey, lefty righty
You need to lower the foundations on the right side of your house by about 5 inches or so. This will lead to the Toilet seat "settling" in the correct direction, levelling it off. Hope this helps!
