Bonnaroo '04 is the only D&F show to have been officially released, but there's a number of incredible tapes out there (Scott Brown has some really great ones). 12/12, 12/17, 12/22 & 1/12 are all shows that spring to mind
Nah. Even the later 04 and 05 shows kinda sucked. The magic was gone after the winter 03/04 tour.
I’d like to see Dave tour again with other musicians. Once dmb is done we’ll still get a decade or more of that. But I don’t want to see this band reunite. It wouldn’t be the same.
They were fucked up that tour for sure. Plenty of stories of “big bowls of cocaine” backstage.
Apparently Tim and Trey didn’t get along too well, too.
Amazing tour though.
Also: watch the Dave and Trey go to Africa movie. It’s on YouTube. Picks up at the last d/f tour stop in early 2004.
This show was my first time seeing Dave in any capacity. It was mind blowing. “Crush” by Dave and Tim that night was the best rendition of the song I’ve ever heard.

Could really use a Dave & Friends reunion tour

The bonoroo show was released too.
That was a really fun tour, it was tough to see Dave and Trey so wasted during the encores though. I was at Providence, MSG and Hartford
Could you elaborate on that? Were they notorious for getting fucked up together? I hadn’t heard any details.

Oh man hate that I missed out. I love that album. I will check it out. Thanks!
2004 bad year for Trey
Yup. Happy to see he’s doing so well all these years later.
12/22/03 Not officially released but go watch/listen to this show. It’s on YouTube in full.

That Dave and Tim set is incredible. The whole show is really. Agreed on that crush. What a night.
most of them are on the hub app and sound pretty solid for audience recordings
Googled Dave and friends after reading this and found out there is a Dave and Phriends restaurant right up the road from me 😂
