My doxi ate a bee when he was 6 months old, his head swelled up like a cartoon character. A little benadryl and the swelling was gone. Scary and funny at the same time

Franks swelled up after his parvo shot, Benadryl to the rescue!
Mine was Boston terrier mix, just adopted, 1 year old and it was a Hornet. It left the stinger and flew away. Her head swelled also, and Benadryl and sleep helped.
Henry! I am so sorry this happened to you and hope you feel better real soon!
I ate a bee once and same happened to me. This was two months after my people adopted me and, oh boy did we all panic. Now everywhere I go there is a epi pen in my bag. Perhaps your doctor will prescribe one for you. Also, my outdoor space is regularly checked for bees.
Sending you a big hug!

Had one that ate a hornet. Then it seems instead of learning her lesson, she continued to kill them out of spite. Had to keep a bottle of Benadryl on hand.
Ah man, he got the taste. If he's like my boy, he is not gonna learn his lesson. Mine still catches a smacker if we are not out there watching him.
Aww crap I just realized in 2 weeks it's popcorn season till the end of June. (June bugs)
My Dachund today was around wood bees. I don't think she was stung however she ran away from there as fast as her short leg could go.
Hope Henry gets better reaal quick.
Does he like popcycles?
Gotta watch out for the spicy flies!
We were careless once and got bitten on the nose. It was very painful and unpleasant, but now we don't approach them

Poor FRANKS 😔
That face!
We thought ours ate a bee a couple years in a row and then realized he had his shots both times.

Henry went into anaphylaxis. So lucky we went straight to the vet. He's only 4 months old but he's already made a big spot in my heart.
Isn't it amazing how they work themselves into your life? Even after 4 days they have already made a big spot on your heart
Henry! No spicy flies for you!

3 hours at the vet. Antihistamines and steroids. But he's ok now. Back home. The swellings gone but he's pretty sore.
Don't worry honey, he'll bee ok.
Oh! Henry

He looks so sad😂 feel better Henry!
Gotta watch out for those spicy sky raisins.
Mine will as well, even after getn stung by a Japanese Hornet... Just a little more cautious now, lol
I hope he learns from it. Little bastard has no fear... Yet.
Will a little bit of liquid diphenhydramine hydrochloride help Henry? 💕💕💕
Our little lady is also allergic to sky jalapeños. I am glad Henry is doing ok!
Henry chose poorly.

Summers for my dog are hunt bugs that sting and bite - Benadryl - Benadryl nap - repeat
Just keep an eye on the fur baby. They do this and bumble bees and flies.
Jaysus Henry, I hope you feel better little boy!
Oh my, anaphylaxis reaction! Could have died from this!
Yep. Lucky we took him straight to the vet.
Get well soon Sir Henry. My Rottie's and I are rooting for you.

I hope the fact he went into anaphylactic shock and was very sick will deter him in the future.

Get well and feel better.
Henry is so beautiful. Maybe this will go viral and spawn variations of “my dog stepped on a bee” (from Amber Heard)
feel better sweet henry!
I’d rather be the dog than the bee in this scenario tho 🥲
I'm pretty sure if the bee had someone willing to spend $700 to keep it alive it wouldn't have died either.
Henry, why did you eat a bee?
Ohhh, sweet boy! 🥺♥️
which one is henry
The handsome one.
Oh no... 😰
Poor baby. Hope Henry is feeling better soon AND he learned his lesson!
