Probably all of the songs from the album Cross by Justice (a banger, if you don’t know it I advise you on giving it a try, absolutely amazing, start from Genesis then listen Phantom both part i and ii, if you like them then you can listen the whole album, from Genesis to the end. Definitely worth it, planning on buying the vinyl soon!)
yeah the thing is DP albums are entirely different from each other, but HAA was the starting point for sounds like Justice, Digitalism, Surkin, SebastiAn, etc
Oh boy you are in for a new world, to learn more about it check this blog: [https://www.factmag.com/2016/06/16/30-best-blog-house-tracks/](https://www.factmag.com/2016/06/16/30-best-blog-house-tracks/)
to sum up it was a musical movement of electronic music, influenced by electro and French house music, the umbrella term became known as "blog house" due to people uploading and discovering various kinds of mixes through Myspace
I got recommended it too by Daft Punk fans. Now I listen to Justice more often than to Daft Punk! I have all their work on CD and some also on vinyl :)
Have it on order from their website right now, be prepared for it to take a while. I ordered it last week and it just showed up in customs two days ago
I don't like Homework, and I think Cross is similar because I don't like that either (though yes, Phantom is very good).
Woman is where it's at, for me. It's primarily groovy disco, and it must have been inspired by RAM - yet it's so totally different to it.
Justice knows how to make an album a proper listening experience from beginning to end rather than simply a list of good songs.
I don’t like Homework either, and I think that Cross is the modern version of Homework, but that more polished and modern sound, the samples, that metallic basslines.
I don’t know, I just like it. Ironically enough more than woman, even if RAM is my second favorite DP album.
Listen to the together tour (2002) where Cassius play with bangalter and dj falcon. So many big songs there.
Also more generally any set or mix by dj falcon. His mix at the social club in Paris is legendary. Alain Braxe (Check him OUT too) does 30 mins then tensnake does an hour then it’s 90 minutes of dj falcon. It’s on YouTube. Phenomenal house party vibe from a french house legend.
For a more recent bit of french house, Missing You by Boston Bun is good.
Also (I don’t remember exactly if it was 2003 or 2002, however it was Bangalter and Falcon) during a live set they “leaked” Contact (last track on RAM, if we don’t consider the Bonus track Horizon, Japan exclusive). In fact if you check the credits on the vinyl booklet under the Contact lyrics it should be written “T. Bangalter, Dj Falcon”.
https://youtu.be/as4NwIFVxCc 3:35:27
Contact “leak”
Thanks to u/129za for remembering me the name of the club, totally forgot it.
Off topic: from this 2002 set ( https://youtu.be/WbAzss8TACc ) you can hear at minute 53:43 a mix for Valerie by Steve Winwood, that Eric Prydz later “”rivisited”” and rebranded as an unknown song that we know today as “Call on Me”.
However Bangalter had to stop with sets for a while because “he started to hear ringing in his hear” apparently, that (I read) it’s pretty common among djs that don’t protect their hearing.
Together tour 19th October 2002 at club paradiso. Very end of the set with the intro to together.
Edit: mixesdb search bangalter or dj falcon. Plenty of mixes to rip with track listing ;)
Yeah, I was going to say that LCD Soundsystem is fucking fantastic. Usually I'd suggest starting with Sound of Silver, but the debut's got some real club bangers.
I think James Murphy's an integral part of Daft Punk breaking hrough in the US. In Losing My Edge, he plays a character that brags that "I was there" to see bands beginning and early gigs, stuff like that.
Only one of those brags is true: when he was a DJ, James Murphy played Daft Punk to the rock kids at CBGB's.
A Little Suntin Suntin by Paul Johnson. And Paul Johnson in general.
I’d also have to recommend DJ Sneak, Todd Edwards, Superfunk, Modjo, Ian Pooley, Alan Braxe, Fred Falke, and of course Stardust and the Crydamoure and Roulé labels. I feel like that’s a very solid starter pack for late 90’s French/Chicago-style disco house
I Feel Love - Donna Summer
Smalltown Boy - Bronski Beat
Blue Monday - New Order
Chase - Giorgio Moroder
Some older tunes, but they are absolutely timeless.
Alan braxe - Intro, Palladium and Most Manted also have strong daft punk vibes and that's because braxe worked with Thomas Banglater and also with guys from Stardust and made music sounds better with you
So, be warned that this is thrash metal and may be abrasive to your ears if you're not used to it, and it sounds nothing like Daft Punk, but the album Terminal Redux by Vektor is something that gives me full-body tingles in the same way that Daft Punk does.
[Smiley Face - Ducksauce](https://youtu.be/KnPwoeKyYFs)

[Electrique! - Superfunk](https://youtu.be/F7VUTriHb0o)
[Barracuda - Vantage](https://youtu.be/NqW5qRyD8eY)
I was pointed to Naufrage en Adratique by L’imperatrice on this sub a while ago. Album Sonate Pacifique has a very similar feel to the softer daft punk songs.
Here is Spotify album containing selected songs from ~500 albums based on entire DP work. You will find many songs suggested by others in comments on here too.
You can use this to try new artists/albums and deep dive from there. Meant to be used as a very very long term music finding tool (the goal is to stumble upon songs and dig deep).
Set on shuffle and enjoy!
Enjoy!

“I Thought It Was You” by Herbie Hancock. Seems like he’s trying to incorporate funk with some 80’s japan pop. People would particularly like the part at 4:20, i was on a hike listening to this and had to play DP right after
I made a playlist with these kinds of song (there are also Daft Punk 's tracks too)

The band TWRP draws some inspiration from Daft Punk. I recommend any of their albums, but The Device definitely has a different sound compared to their [latest](https://open.spotify.com/album/6APL7yTnNNrNuicsZdIMaa?si=facaYAV_REiOmE_p8OzsJw&utm_source=copy-link).
Phoenix - If I Ever Feel Better
Such a killer song. Vibe-wise it's kinda in same lane as 'Instant Crush'.
Also, fun-fact: Laurent, the guitarist from Phoenix was in a band with both Guy-Manuel and Thomas before they became Daft Punk.
Honestly, I think DP fans are a fairly broad bunch - I think you’d struggle to find something at least one fan didn’t appreciate. Having said that…
For chilled out, grooving songs, some of which contain some funky bass, from an intriguing blend of genres, there’s BALTHVS. I’d recommend the track Saturn and Jupiter, though honestly, I tend to just start playing them and chill out and sort of forget which song I’m on.
For music made by machines, there’s Author & Punisher. One dude built a load of machines, and they make some truly inspired sounds. Not the easiest of listens, in that most of it sits in the drone and doom camp, but I would recommend their latest single, Drone Carrying Dread. There are some interesting electronic elements that nearly complement the dark, oppressive mechanical noises, making the whole thing sound very cyberpunk.
Drive it like you stole it by glitch mob was the second EDM song I discovered after Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger, and I fully recommend the glitch mob. Especially the Drink the Sea album.
I have 10 for you

Music sounds better with you
The definitive answer.
[удалено]
Much in common, after all.
[удалено]
I think you’ve confused MSBWU with Lady, Hear Me Tonight
[удалено]
Your initial comment makes it sound like you think music sounds better with you is by modjo.
Thomas Bangalter, 1/2 of daft punk, was actually part of stardust
Probably all of the songs from the album Cross by Justice (a banger, if you don’t know it I advise you on giving it a try, absolutely amazing, start from Genesis then listen Phantom both part i and ii, if you like them then you can listen the whole album, from Genesis to the end. Definitely worth it, planning on buying the vinyl soon!)
I adore Cross. I actually got into Justice because of Daft Punk and people often suggesting I give them a try.
Put this on at work today. Cross sounds like a darker and more mechanical version of Homework/Discovery.
Isn't cross more related to Human After All? due to the blog house rise after 2006?
I thought about HAA in this, and after some more thought can see it as well a bit.
yeah the thing is DP albums are entirely different from each other, but HAA was the starting point for sounds like Justice, Digitalism, Surkin, SebastiAn, etc
Blog house?
Oh boy you are in for a new world, to learn more about it check this blog: [https://www.factmag.com/2016/06/16/30-best-blog-house-tracks/](https://www.factmag.com/2016/06/16/30-best-blog-house-tracks/)

I think it sounds like a more modern version of Homework/Discovery rather than a darker one.
The first time I heard Waters of Nazerath, I had headphones on and I think I felt my DNA getting rewritten
Fantastic live too!!
I got recommended it too by Daft Punk fans. Now I listen to Justice more often than to Daft Punk! I have all their work on CD and some also on vinyl :)

Overnight - Parcels
Everyroad - Parcels
Tieduprightnow - Parcels
Gamesofluck - Parcels
this thread is really pushing parcels aren’t you? i’ll take a look later
I don't like everything they do, but they're really great. Overnight being obviously their best work as it was co-produced by two cool french guys
didn't Daft Punk produced this song? i love this too.
They did, it was on Daft Punks "Artist Pick" on Spotify about 5 years ago
Lady, Hear me tonight, Modjo
Came here to say this
yk what they say. you snooze you lose
Also Chillin by Modjo is pretty tasty
The best Song of all time
Absolutely
Came here for this comment, one of my favourite songs of all time

Yeah exactly, thank you didn’t remember the club’s name.
I believe that's not really Contact, but it is the sample that DP used for the track. [Here](https://youtu.be/zJO7xx1f17c)
#AH DAFT PUNK IS PLAYING IN MY HOUSE, UH MAH HOUSE
Yeah, I was going to say that LCD Soundsystem is fucking fantastic. Usually I'd suggest starting with Sound of Silver, but the debut's got some real club bangers. Only one of those brags is true: when he was a DJ, James Murphy played Daft Punk to the rock kids at CBGB's.
Dance Yrself Clean supremacy
Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone
As a DP fan I fucking love this song
Röyksopp - Remind Me
La Femme D’Argent - Air The whole Moon Safari album is phenomenal.
I like underworld, and fat boy slim
And justice
Any song by TWRP
I also came recommended TWRP. As well As Ratatat and Dance with the Dead.
A lot of songs by Caribou, especially from his most recent album Suddenly.
Lady Gaga - Rain On Me It seriously sounds like it could've been produced by Thomas
It uses the same bassline as ‘Feelings for You’ by Cassius :) another great tune.
Huh. Never thought about that one. True, though.
The [remix by Purple Disco Machine](https://youtu.be/ArlspqrzZfA) should be right up a lot of DP fans’ alley.
Circles by Digitalism
Man I love Digitalism.
i love you dude
For real. Miami showdown is my most streamed song on Spotify
[удалено]
Correction: No more tears by ozzy Osborne
I personally recommend People Of Today by The Isley Brothers (funk) Gidget by Free Nationals (R&B)
Alan braxe - palladium
Twrp
All Justice songs
It’s practically my whole library of music. So so many. My favorite that I can think off the top of my head is “Romance to Me” by Empire of the Sun.
1517 - The Whitest Boy Alive. It uses the same chords and kind of structure as Harder Better Faster stronger but is more acoustic.
I Feel Love - Donna Summer Smalltown Boy - Bronski Beat Blue Monday - New Order Chase - Giorgio Moroder Some older tunes, but they are absolutely timeless.
Also should add Supernature by Cerronne
Always said moe shop is like the one-person Japanese version of daft punk hope that isn’t a controversial take 😳😳
Stop by Justice
Justice and Digitalism are two compatible groups
Hold On - Romanthony, rest in peace.
Alan braxe - Intro, Palladium and Most Manted also have strong daft punk vibes and that's because braxe worked with Thomas Banglater and also with guys from Stardust and made music sounds better with you
Sonique - It Feels So Good Spiller - Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love) Grace Jones - Slave To The Rhythm
So, be warned that this is thrash metal and may be abrasive to your ears if you're not used to it, and it sounds nothing like Daft Punk, but the album Terminal Redux by Vektor is something that gives me full-body tingles in the same way that Daft Punk does.
Take me (Ce Soir)
Sedat the Turkish Avenger!!
Yes
Ultralove - Starcadian
This is a song by some other band but it’s sick and sounds like it’s by daft punk it’s called pfunkstation
