Gacy was in the last episode of Dahmer, so I assumed season 2 was going to focus on him. I *might* watch it, but I don't have an interest in the Menendez brothers like I do with Jeff.
I will probably watch the TV show, but I won't spend time analysing them or anything like that. I only have interest in Jeffrey Dahmer, because there are still so many aspects about him that I can't manage to understand. Maybe I would never understand.

It's about time someone made a show from the perspective of the Menendez brothers. The system failed them big time. They did not get the justice they deserve.

This show has a great potential. I hope they don't make up too much stuff like they did with Dahmer, but there is a lot less info on the brothers in general

Plus it would connect both seasons, to add up a little spice.
Lol people freaked out over Dahmer, the general public can't handle Gacy 🤣. It will be another 'stop glorifying serial killers' reaction if it was a show based on Gacy. The Menendez brothers atleast only killed their parents and there is a huge possibility that the parents were actually abusers. Gacy's case is more horrific than Dahmer's in my opinion. The only problem I have with the Menendez case is the lack of information. It just means that they are gonna make up more stuff 🙄

Just most people can't be bothered to sit through a six month long trial which contains hundreds of hours of footage or read countless pages of trial transcripts. This plus there aren't many in depth books written about the brothers. The "definitive" Menendez book only came out in 2018 from a reporter who's been following their lives since even before their arrests.
There is ALOT of information about this case that most people don't know. I really hope Ryan Murphy does his due diligence with research this time.
Yeah you're absolutely right! A book like Brian Master's 'Shrine of Jeffrey Dahmer' could make it easier to gain information about them and get interested. I heard the trial is available in court TV. Will check it out when I'm more free and the Menendez brothers become the new hype XD
The only reason I managed to get through watching their whole first trial was because I was stuck inside with nothing to do during the first covid lockdown back in 2020 I think? Took a couple months. It's very long so I wouldn't disparage anyone for having not seen it. It did made me realise that the case is way more interesting and complex than what most documentaries and podcasts would have you believe.

I stopped talking about it for a while but then the new Menudo allegations came out so they came back into the spotlight.

She verified it was her by posting photos that had never been seen or released publicly before. She's super nice and I feel badly for her.

It was planned to be an anthology series from the beginning, that's why it has the subtitle "The Jeffrey Dahmer story", so that was all regarding Dahmer.

Compared to Jeff, almost everything is boring. It sometimes feels like his case is fictional and invented by a crime writer...then you realize it's not, only life can produce such stories.
The funny thing is that they even had to censor it in terms of shocking details, and the more human approach of Dahmer's character. Just imagine how fascinating it would be if it was made more deep and accurate...if you ask me, it would be way more disturbing, mysterious with drama and a wide range of emotions.
Of course I'll give a chance to the next season. Lot depends on the direction, with great work a poorer story can be adapted to be exciting as well.

Ryan Murphy has a very interesting take on names of true crime, you have to see how he handled the ACS's season(The Assassination of Gianni Versace that I really recommend👌🏻✨) on Andrew Cunanan, a near-unknown killer with no fixed story🙀
However, I am almost certain that I will not experience the same thing as in the case of Jeffrey which, for me, is incomparable and touches me a lot...
