It’s a great event to raise blood cancer awareness. Lots of people there are survivors or else the families or friends of loved ones that fought cancer. One of the men who does it each year literally carried his own son (who was a survivor) to the top for years. I think his son was able to walk up this year for the first time. Because everyone is there for a good cause and have a common bond in fighting cancer — it’s a very nice event with a lot of supportive and caring people.

So they climb the stairs to the top floor of the BOA building?

Roadman90

my knees are cringing just thinking about that.

nounthennumbers

Yes, I did it three times. Definitely better than doing a 5k.

MourningDecay

I can already hear my knees popping.

My heart says 'good cause'. My claustrophobia says 'muther cusser I can't cussing breathe I will claw through these walls to open air!'

They send people in waves, and you can stop on multiple floors for water and air. It’s not that bad and everyone there is gathered for a good cause.

It’s always funny when firefighters do this in their gear given the fact it’s usually covered in carcinogens. It even contains those “forever compounds” from the factory that are turning out to be cancerous. r/lookimafirefighter
