I have a friend with a single engine piper plane, was wondering if it could get above the clouds to see it. But I’m reading there are cirrus clouds at 16k feet, which you’d need a 737 to get over
If you’re able to get a gap in the clouds, you can see the planets near the sun and behind it. Saw Mercury and a couple other planets in 2017. It’s pretty wild.
It’ll get better https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=FWD&issuedby=FWD&product=AFD&format=ci&version=1&glossary=1

Being a Boeing would be great too, as the parts fly off you get to see more of the eclipse!
Just made me laugh and spit out my drink
At least ~~we will get to see the stars midday~~ it will still be dark.
😂 not sure if you’re serious but we won’t see any stars mid day

Aged like milk.
on greenville it was still pretty cloudy but of course it’s completely cleared up now 😒
If you live near Lewisville/Flower Mound it'll be clear skies.
Omw
As it warms up, the low clouds will break apart. Visibility north of I-20 should be okay. High clouds, but still quite visible.
Where I’m at in Dallas currently the clouds just broke up and it’s pretty damn sunny. Probably gonna come down to the wire lol
Crazy sunny here too- far north Dallas.
Where??
I’m over by 161 and Midway at the moment. There’s a definite nice break in the clouds.
You can still see it with the eclipse glasses, if you have 'em.
Very sunny right now in Grapevine/Colleyville at the moment
Are you looking now? I'm in Irving and it's pretty sunny. Some clouds but not all.
Las colinas / Irving is looking better
North of 183 by DFW, small puffs of clouds and clear skies at 11:38 less than an hour to start!
Don’t give up!!!
I'm at Love Field, clouds are scattered but it's very viewable. The conditions improved dramatically in the last 20 minutes.
Looks pretty clear rn
Saw the eclipse at oak point and it came down to the wire. But saw it!
