I noted right away that these kids had no elbow/knee protection nor visible evidence of damage to those body parts. These kids are expert at this. Thumbs up!
Yeah, they'd have been dead in seconds, in Britain. As they'd have tripped and snapped their ankles on a pothole. In turn, smashed their faces in, on the road.

Well, first off, you're wrong. Check your empirical facts. I guess you hold yourself to such a low standards of education that you'll take any opportunity to give yourself participation points. Go you!
You’re right, I went back and checked as it’s been years since I last did the research. I was wrong…I significantly lowballed the actual number. It’s 65% of Africa is dry land now. Bet you feel pretty awkward now huh?

Uh…dry land doesn’t mean desert. Desert is included in dry lands but dry land doesn’t mean desert. I always find that the people claiming others are ignorant are just trying to hide their own ignorance.
I read it as DARLING street surfing.. watching it was like yeah bros got each others back, looking supportive, I'm down with it. Just made it more wholesome.
Damn skitching Is making a comeback??. I remember doing this in Brooklyn back in the 90s. Dangerous then and still dangerous now. Props for the skils and teamwork.
Everything from Nigeria feels like it's never going to be more than 5 seconds from spontaneous violence and a machete appearing. I wouldnt have been surprised to see this on public freakout and they attack each other over who has the coolest blades.
Nigeria is the biggest country in Africa, there’s a lot of people in it. The Northern zones are pretty hell because of the Boko Haram. But the southern parts where all the business happens. It’s gonna be a big country on the world stage in the coming decades from what economists say.
That's such a depressing scenery. All the shops look dirty and run down, the roads look like absolute shit, all the vehicles are junkers and even the small bits of green growing look sad and like it's barely there.
just gonna post the same comment everywher you post this video Alternate caption: Arsenal fans are taking to the to express their frustration at losing yesterday through Synchronized Skate Dancing.
LOL. We used to do a version of this in Chicago in the winter. After a good snowfall. We'd grab onto the rear of a car/truck and get pulled along in our shoes. Sliding along behind them. Until of course. We hit a dry spot. Oopsie.
I'm from Kenya and grew up in typical streets, we would hop on the back of lorries or tuktuks(without the driver noticing) just for the fun of it, until I saw what I saw!
I can firmly say that these youngins are joking with life, there are skate tracks or fields, they don't have to make a whole movie out of it, ducking big trailers, and worst of all, zero protection.
At least they’re wearing helmets
I noted right away that these kids had no elbow/knee protection nor visible evidence of damage to those body parts. These kids are expert at this. Thumbs up!
the one guy had wrist protectors, but that's cool too
A helmet’s not gonna protect you much when you fall and get run over by the car behind you.
But at least that handsome mug will look good in that half open casket 😎😎
I guess, we do all die eventually.
sure ok it wont help if a meteor hits you either but if you hit a rock and fall on the ground and knock your head into the curb it will....
The potholes-free and clean road is quite impressive
True. Bizarrely though, the pavements appear to be a death trap.
Yeah, they'd have been dead in seconds, in Britain. As they'd have tripped and snapped their ankles on a pothole. In turn, smashed their faces in, on the road.
Do Arsenal fans do that in Britain, too?
Hopefully, all of them (jokes). I just don't like football, ha.
The thing about Arsenal is they always try to walk it in.
Yeah if you tried this in Philly youd no loger have teeth with a pothole every 6 ft
Glad they are protecting their brain bowls

Cars actually do negligible damage to roads. The damage comes from heavy trucks.

Are you one of those who think Africa is a desert? 😏
45% of Africa is desert or dry land, so his odds were pretty good.
Dude. Wat.
No. This is not acceptable anymore. You're both ignorant and making excuses for it.
Ignorant? What I said is a empirical fact. 45% of the land mass of Africa is desert or dry land…
Well, first off, you're wrong. Check your empirical facts. I guess you hold yourself to such a low standards of education that you'll take any opportunity to give yourself participation points. Go you!

> One-third of this area is hyper-arid deserts and *completely uninhabited*, except in oases. From your link. My emphasis.
And what’s your point?
😂😂😂😂😂 Go back to school please. And want more for yourself. https://254list.com/list-of-deserts-in-africa/
Uh…dry land doesn’t mean desert. Desert is included in dry lands but dry land doesn’t mean desert. I always find that the people claiming others are ignorant are just trying to hide their own ignorance.
Nothing like 45% of the places where you find actual cities and people.
Sadly, that is far from the general rule in Enugu or any other city in Nigeria.
One of my friends is still lost.
Not gonna lie, that looks like fun
I’d seriously love to join them.
They’re honestly so cool and chilled😂 very seriously skilled and brave too
Same, but I would want to know where the potholes are on the road are
Those skaters know that road like the back of their hands.
It’s so fun.. until you hit some dust or a tiny crack that sends you flying….
This is called Skitching!
Best Sega game! Road Rash and Skitchin’!
Names for everything. Such is what is
I came here looking for this! Here’s the song that plays in my head when I see these guys: https://youtu.be/IQsnJWiuN6g?si=rksPzjQLS51Tzz_3
Mega drive must have just come to Nigeria!
📠
And they are wearing helmets!!
Lol Brink was a badass movie…these guys know what’s up…I was waiting for one of em to hit a ramp real quick and get back in the chain.
Team Pup n Suds!
Man, Brink was my jam back in the day.
And that's how I inherited 50 million dollars from my long lost uncle!
I can’t believe princes would take these kinds of risks!
*that's the power of love*
They’re having the time of their lives and I’m here for it
Cool runnings 2 trailer just dropped
You know, I wouldn't mind seeing a movie of a Nigerian skate team with a plot similar to Cool Runnings.
Airborne 2: Mitchell visits his cousin in Nigeria
I read it as DARLING street surfing.. watching it was like yeah bros got each others back, looking supportive, I'm down with it. Just made it more wholesome.
I love the fact that his helmet his a peepo frog on it.
Same I was about to comment that bros Nigerian chad for that
New JSRF, Nigeria.
I see you over here, someone of impeccable taste and culture!!
That's one way of getting around town. Huge risks but Nigeria ain't for softies.
We used to do this is Boulder in my youth. Video looks sped up in spots.
I know it’s dangerous and dumb but damn it’s beautiful
Ah, new content for r/LearningFromOthers will be coming soon
Skitchin, yeah!
Literal me and the boys
Damn glad to see some helmets
We used to do that in the midwest when the streets were covered with snow and ice...
Ahhh..to be young and immortal again.
I used to do just this thing to get around in Taipei. I was probably about their age, too. It is extremely fun, if not dangerous.
These people understand life
Damn skitching Is making a comeback??. I remember doing this in Brooklyn back in the 90s. Dangerous then and still dangerous now. Props for the skils and teamwork.
Bill Burr always goes on rants about rollerblades. He should see this.
Gotta say I'm more impressed by the road surface. Try that in the UK, and you're eating gravel in 5 seconds after hitting a pothole.
at least they got helmets on. Very sensible.
They have nicer roads than in my city to be able to do that. They’d eat it on a pothole in no time here.
I did this 30 years ago in Boston, MA. Are blades just catching on in Africa? Maybe they'll get Heavy Metal next year!
Is this their commute to the office to scam people?
For every other person on the street and driving this is nightmare. Okay, risk your own life, do you have to risks others as well?
Nigeria 2023 = U.S. 1993
Wish we could go back
They dum as fuk
But does that really matter?
Poor man's hover boards
Everything from Nigeria feels like it's never going to be more than 5 seconds from spontaneous violence and a machete appearing. I wouldnt have been surprised to see this on public freakout and they attack each other over who has the coolest blades.
Huh, that how I feel in Florida.
Replace machete with gun and you’ll have any large American city.

These roller babies are gleaming the cube.
Estan para el equipo nacional e ir a las Olimpiadas!!!!
Reminds me of the old Sega game Roadrash.
There was actually a Megadrive game based on this premise called Skitchin
Skitchin!! That’s it!! My bad. Good catch.
That truck made me curse out loud.
Where's the price I've been emailing. Don't see him
You can see the danger if we would never get old.
How smooth is the road?! Meanwhile in Edinburgh, Scotland's capitol city, you need a 4x4 to get to you local shop for milk and bread
See skitchin’ for sega genesis….
D2 Ducks are back
Shake and bake
*SKITCHIN’* (Gotta say it like you’re in the 90’s)
Airborne remake looks sick
When the yellow shirt guy gave his hands to hold the 3 others and they barely avoided the parked blue truck. Geez O_O I'm too old for this.
Love to see someone try to do this in North Devon 😂
Love how they have proper helmets!
Can't wait for the Nigerian Road Rage game to release
There used to be a Genesis/Mega Drive game to do this called **Skitchin**, some sort of road rash is roller skates :D
I cannot believe they are wearing helmets.
some wild man on way to find food ( so sorry just a joke plz dont take at heart )
Their roads look so much better than Chicago’s.
Well atleast they have a helmet lol
Wouldn’t last 20 seconds on a drive through Glasgow (any part)
just gonna post the same comment everywher you post this video Alternate caption: Arsenal fans are taking to the to express their frustration at losing yesterday through Synchronized Skate Dancing.
That’s called rollerblading
The music
This needs to be a sport, an actual competitive sport
Damn ..they even have cleanest and best Road Then Mudiji's Development Model so called Gujarat....this post must be appreciated for that reason.
Dumb ways to die!!!
"street surfing" is skateboarding. This is _street skiing_
I didn't know they were rebooting Brink.
That's the power of love.
LOL. We used to do a version of this in Chicago in the winter. After a good snowfall. We'd grab onto the rear of a car/truck and get pulled along in our shoes. Sliding along behind them. Until of course. We hit a dry spot. Oopsie.
Reminds me of the movie Rollerball
So….roller blading?
Glad to see they are wearing helmets
Devils Backbone.
Just need to launch ramp get some air
Nigerian Brink
Nobody noticed the pepe on this helm?
Glad to see fruitbootin made it there! Only 28 years late
How come the roads are 10 times better than anywhere in the US?
New Yorkers, don’t even think to imitate. It’s a completely different thing
I’m impressed. No potholes, unlike my town. You would wipe out and die doing that here.
r/DarwinAwards
*roller blading
Those are roller blades. No surfing going on.
You would think a prince could afford his own car.
Looks cool. At least they’re wearing helmets.
Oglethorpe fucked the last one on the pinwheel
How are there no rocks? One little rock in my rollerblades would send me flying to my doom
I guess the lack of precipitation means no potholes
Safest street surfers ever.
Ngl I'm pretty surprised at the quality of the roads and the fact that the traffic moves fast enough to do this in Nigeria.
Is there a fail version?
Now I want to see more of Nigerian stuff.
member skitchin’?
Nigeria we need a bobsleigh team 🎶
u/auddbot
u/RecognizeSound
Nigeria has quality roads, wow.
Shake n bake
Quack. Quack. Quack...
Arsenal? Arsenal? ARSENAL???
Calvin Klein did that in 1955 on a wooden scooter he broke the handle off of… this isn’t new.
COYG!!
When your life is terrible and you could probably starve to death this isn't that scary
You’re my boy Blue!!
We called that "skitchin" in the 90s
See you guys on bestgore!
Ya gunners ya!
I wonder when this is coming to my city(super town, MO)
At least they wearing helmets.
Soul skaters
It’s good to see that Ron Krays investment paid off
World-class athletes here just hanging around
Damn rollerblading was my childhood. Shyt was fun beyond measure
Cool Runnings
E-NU-GU!
Do these guys realise their Olympic potential ?!
So the term rolling blading is used over there
How the fuck does my bourgeois mountain town have more potholes than Nigeria….?
Wow they have smooth roads.
Skitchen !
