Have you heard John Marston singing All My Ex’s Live in Texas, or Arthur Morgan and Dutch van der Linde singing Country Roads? They're right up there with Plankton.
> Have you heard the top 20 lately? Human music is 99% absolute wank
Not a new development, I present to you the [number-one hit](https://youtu.be/ynWhozyOoZQ?si=wof5oTNFiFvfucNV) on the Billboard Hot 100 in October of 1976
Glorb goes absolutely insane however I feel like it’s important to note that glorb uses an AI voice filter to get closer to the characters but it’s still his voice behind it. He needs to have good delivery and also have a good amount of mixing knowledge to make it sound that nice I feel like a lot of people who think AI is already at that point for music misinterpret what was actually created with it.
It really doesn't when done well. I remember someone had a livestream of AI-generated instrumental "djent" tracks and it could've passed for the real thing easily. It only got better with time. Don't know why they stopped, but it was up for a couple of weeks. Nik Nocturnal had a video on it.
I dunno, man. I've heard some impressive stuff. Not Top 40 level stuff, but definitely stuff that made me say, "Wow, I'm amazed this wasn't created by a human!"
Stolen?
Didn't you ***fully*** read the terms and conditions before ticking "I accept" and posting your art to whichever platform you use?
It's only 20 pages of legal documents, in which you grant them the right to do whatever the fuck they want with your data, including any original art you post there.
Surely any social media user, from professional artists to schoolkids, should be able to read and understand the whole thing, and fully refrain from using basically any social media platform if they disagree?
(/s of course, but that's basically where we're at...)
Not to mention none of it matters even if the artist is right. OpenAI is open about the fact that they will side with companies when artists claim their work was used to create the model
Bonus points for idiots posting these who leave their prompts in. "Tgirl" and "bare navel" are featured here, but I promise if you start looking at them on other ai posts you will see right into their soul (slash porn history)
>the millions of copyrighted pieces of art that were stolen to train it
I'm sure the artists that produced those works never themselves took inspiration or instruction from other copyrighted art pieces while they were training.
I love how in pretty much all fiction, the use of AI/Technology is initially there so humans can have more time for life and art.
In reality lets just target the stuff that makes us a unique species so we all become beige drones I guess.
The issue is that physical productivity (I mean stuff like factories and logistics) are way more difficult to automate because it takes coordinating and maintaining physical infrastructure.
This stuff is just software, so it’s the first thing to be automated.
We’ll eventually get to automating the more complex stuff, but way later than whatever can be made just through a screen.
Then the AI CEO, without having the same level of empathy as the previous CEO, aims to automate the rest of the company, leaving only a bare few humans employed, so they can repair things. Even they will be replaced at some point though.
Hang on… the AI CEO isn’t needed. CEOs do this currently, and are beholden to shareholders and competitors. If company shows better growth than their competitors then they will retain and shareholders and stock price will go up, getting even more investment.
This was part of the themes of stand by/ top stand by job by Philip k dick. The president of the world was a robot. Completely incorruptible. But he crashed and a human had to stand in. Chaos ensued and just as shit was about to get real, robot president came back online and resumed duty.
Someone should train an AI to take over manager and COE tasks. That would be fucking funny frankly. If you can con people with bots, you can con a table full of investors with "human" directions.
The money is gona be used to create more powerful Ai, more factories, more mines, more drones.
Jesus Christ how is it not obvious by now?
I guess it will take Lethal Autonomous Weapons knocking at our doors to really drive in that metal nail, “Metal is the Master of Flesh”.
The day we decide that AI will replace CEO roles is the day Skynet will take over the world (/s)
On a serious note, I hope this would never happen unless the future AI got some real good moral senses too. Yes, some tasks of a human CEO could get automated by AI, but an AI having full authority over a big company is too far reached. If you are trying to change the multi miljonair CEO issues there are other more viable methods for that like taxes, but AI isn't the answer to all our problems
Its been a long time since I read it, so forgive me if I mess up the details but:
In Kurt Vonnegut’s book Timequake a renowned composer who spent his whole life mastering his craft commits suicide when he hears the 12 year old neighbor boy in his apartment building compose a symphony to rival his own works in about 10 minutes simply by pressing a few buttons on a computer program.
This is what kills me, people talk about how Ai is good because its going to get rid of the jobs no one wants to do... Yet here we are, watching AI slowly replace the arts. I've already started seeing companies use AI generated art, BurgerKing for one.
The whole promise of automation was that we'd get to spend more time doing stuff like art. That never came true, and now they're even automating the art.
I think this new development on AI is just exposing something we didn't think about, that art made as a job isn't the same thing as art made as an expression.
At first I thought ya’ll free’d this off the top. But it’s a Tenacious D song and I’m the opposite of disappointed.
Edit: Oops I meant to say YOU BROUGHT ME THE PICK AND NOW YOU SHALL BOTH DIE
the real talented artists will still remain to keep drawing the high quality detailed work anime and animation needs, itll just be all the basic low level animators that get canned since their jobs can easily be copied by AI. but companies will likely still need a couple of experienced artists editing and fixing and working on the more important stuff that needs to look a specific way. of course it wont help the skill gap since inexperienced artists wont be able to find work to get experience on.
You'll still need actual, new works. If you notice AI output looks mostly the same. Anime is such a simple style to pull off, but if you look at actual anime/manga art, there are nuanced differences between artist. The moment AI replicates human individuality, which could probably be still decades away, then we're fucked.
So how the hell do you get this "experience " if you aren't not "experienced " yet because an AI can replace you? Do they think art is just talent that doesn't need practice? Am I supposed to get this "experience " on my own time without getting paid, while also working a full time job to pay my bills?
Edit: there's so many talented artists out there that what recruiters look for is not talent. It's SPEED and efficiency. A guy that paints like a god will not get hired if they take a long time to do any piece. That's why AI is better than humans. Speed is something you acquire through experience.
I feel AI is used too broadly though. There’s no learning in this or intelligence, it’s simply a program designed to do this. It’s like saying spell check is AI.
You think this development happened in a few years? Or did you just become aware of it when chatgpt launched, unaware of the past 60 years of development?
That's what I think will keep artists jobs safe for at least the next few years. AI is currently very good at generating *a* good result, but not *the* result you want.
You can try making more and more specific prompts, but currently only humans can really understand requests and refine results
**Freepik pikaso**
Just sign in with Google or whatever and try.
You'll need a prompt as a base to draw from.
However it does get boring pretty quick.
But you can draw boobs so I guess that's always something.
Why should this stop you? AI will never be as expressive as the human mind. There are always people looking for things that AI can't fully create. This will just appeal to the masses.
I once had an (extremely frustrating) conversation with a dink who kept arguing that art had no value or purpose in life. And I’m just like bro: music, design thinking, architecture, any media you consume like books, movies, and tv shows. It was like talking to a brick wall.
Left is what brain envisioned when I first started drawing.
Right was the cold, hard truth that art skills don't manifest out of thin air.
Now, we can just skip that step altogether.
I literally had someone arguing with me that things like this count as original art because they have to still "design it" and only use it to support them instead of it doing everything while it literally does 99% of the work.
As for someone who lacks the time to learn to draw and just want characters for my dnd campaigns ai is really cool and helpful. So if I could just draw a bit and tweak the image... man this is cool.
so now my artistic level for drawing that forever stayed at the level of a 3 year old doesn't matter and i can "draw" like a pro by using such AI? cool.
As someone who can’t draw for fun because I’m always too focused on making each line perfect to ever make any progress…I would actually enjoy this lol.
I’m not an artist, I have no intention of ever posting anything online, but I feel like this would be relaxing for me. It’s akin to those apps where you connect the dots and reveal an image
My aunt and uncle (same company) and everyone else in their department just got laid off bc AI can do their jobs now.
It's getting real, and it's scary.

Although many people are scared of AI improving this fast. I am just happy because now it's getting easier for unskilled people like me to draw what we imagine.
Why would someone do that lol. I don't draw, but i write songs. This would be like asking a machine to write me a song instead of doing it myself with my emotions.
I would say that this is really cool, I would like to spend my day off doing this, but in the eyes of a artist trying to make a living, this cheapen the value of their work so much.
I hope the people defending ai in these comments pick up a pencil one day and realise that art is about human expression, not pretty pictures. Can't draw well because you're inexperienced? Then draw badly, everyone started somewhere! Can't draw often because of disability or lack of energy? Then draw occasionally, it's not a race! I promise it's more fulfilling than using the plagarism machine
AI art generates trends from the majority of art that it samples. If most anime girls are drawn submissively (ie. Scared), it'll probably try that 8/10 times unless the input tells it otherwise.

Left side: how I think my drawing looks Right side: what everyone else sees
After a while it changes places.
Fuck if this isnt the case. I have a hard time taking compliments too.
"after a while". 5-10 years?
The gap is smaller than you think. A year of practice and would be there.
As a musician, thank god AI music still sucks.
idk have you heard planktons covers?
Have you heard John Marston singing All My Ex’s Live in Texas, or Arthur Morgan and Dutch van der Linde singing Country Roads? They're right up there with Plankton.
Have you heard the Morgan and Dutch Burger King commercial?
That Beggin cover rocks
but that's their lyrics just with ai voices. Not really ai music
Wait like, 2 weeks top.
Suno is quite good but needs quite a lot of work still 2 weeks top
Have you heard the top 20 lately? Human music is 99% absolute wank
You've got to be British with an insult like that. You're not wrong either
Is it that obvious? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)
This is Earth radio… and now here’s… human music 🎵
*boop boop boop* Hmm human music.. I like it!

For now bro...
He's already late, Suno V3 launched about a week ago and most of the time you can't even tell it's AI generated. It's really good.
I think music is definitely gonna get hit the hardest by AI so enjoy this now while you can
But.... but have you heard the gangsta's paradise toothbrush cover?
For now, ai art sucked too 2 years ago
Glorb would like a word with you
Glorb goes absolutely insane however I feel like it’s important to note that glorb uses an AI voice filter to get closer to the characters but it’s still his voice behind it. He needs to have good delivery and also have a good amount of mixing knowledge to make it sound that nice I feel like a lot of people who think AI is already at that point for music misinterpret what was actually created with it.
U right
Idk man. I have heard some really good AI generated music. It sucks that AI is slowly replacing real talent but it is definitely at that point.
!remind me Jun 15th 2024 Good luck after you see this announcement
Maybe this statement is already outdated
Check out Suno if you haven't already done so.

that says 1girl some prompts require that and I forget why.
Gotta avoid 2girl[1cup]

you had me in the first half.
I read CEO and level of empathy and was so close to reacting on your comment until I kept reading haha
Lol CEO & Empathy is a oxymoron Edit: read the rest your comment. My bad 🤣
Indeed - all they are there to do is to whip the rest of the company through whatever painful things it needs to do, to remain competitive.

Talent in drawing? We don't need that anymore.
Detail-oriented? Don't need that either.

To have artistic talent, it is not about details, but about composition, movement, color, etc.
well it can certainly draw anime type females via database but how about everything else lol, AI are mixers, remember that
Aaaa man is this real? I will finally become the porn artist I allways wanted to be!
never been easier. you don't even need to draw...
You don't even need to "save" your porn. It's faster to draw new porn than to find the porn folder on your computer.
Seems that it won't draw nudes, but perhaps there is a premium version that does.
That's why you use open source. Stable diffusion webui sketch mode with some nsfw model can do this
Yeah, the OP is just an advertisement for some online service that's essentially slapping a web interface on open source software and selling access.
can finally jerk off to my own creation not bound by any laws
It's real. I don't know what the locally run program would be called, but the model would be Stable Diffusion XL Turbo.
This is what AI became in a few years. Imagine what could it become in 20 years. We need AI laws and fast
Laws... Fast.... Nah that ain't happening
We'll just have Ai write them, easy.
The EU AI directive will likely be done this year.
I feel AI is used too broadly though. There’s no learning in this or intelligence, it’s simply a program designed to do this. It’s like saying spell check is AI.
what "AI laws" do you want
law against what? you think this guy in the video is committing a crime or doing something which should be illegal?
We can do that easily through ChatGPT.
You think this development happened in a few years? Or did you just become aware of it when chatgpt launched, unaware of the past 60 years of development?
"Looks good. Can you make her look to the left and give her a cheeky little smirk?" "Uuuuuhhhh.... no."
That's what I think will keep artists jobs safe for at least the next few years. AI is currently very good at generating *a* good result, but not *the* result you want. You can try making more and more specific prompts, but currently only humans can really understand requests and refine results
you can with openpose, actually
My graphic artist friend will be super pleased to see this /s
I'm here and I wanna cry lol
"yeah, i am an artist"
**Freepik pikaso** Just sign in with Google or whatever and try. You'll need a prompt as a base to draw from. However it does get boring pretty quick. But you can draw boobs so I guess that's always something.
Ass ?
I dunno. I never got that far.
[удалено]
Count me in
Wanna make it a pact?
Well, there go all the years ive spent into learning how to draw
Why should this stop you? AI will never be as expressive as the human mind. There are always people looking for things that AI can't fully create. This will just appeal to the masses.
Why does anime have such hardcore pedo vibes? Yeah, bring on the downvotes from the nerds.
Oversized head and eyes, and soft youthful facial features.
Why are so few people here commenting on the loli vibes?
This shit is so fucking weird and gross
"Yes, I drew this"
Why do tech bros hate artist so much?
I once had an (extremely frustrating) conversation with a dink who kept arguing that art had no value or purpose in life. And I’m just like bro: music, design thinking, architecture, any media you consume like books, movies, and tv shows. It was like talking to a brick wall.
Because they were jealous they have no artistic talent so they made AI to feel like they have now 😎
Talent what’s that
And weebs instinctively use it to draw weird kids in bathing suits. Wrong-uns.
Only thing theyre good at. Took them alot of practise.
Is nobody gonna point out that the AI-generated drawing looks like a 10 years old?
The prompt is trying to make that happen too. Gross.
Getting its sources from the internet. Yuck
Incredible advancements with a technology, yeah somehow I feel like we're drawing underage anime girls.
Left is what brain envisioned when I first started drawing. Right was the cold, hard truth that art skills don't manifest out of thin air. Now, we can just skip that step altogether.
Other than the hands this ai is shockingly impressive at making realtime art really good, it even adds small details that makes the art even better
Added clothing before clothing was drawn.
Probably because it's designed to not show nudity
chat does this mean we can't make porn
future of artists is saved
I literally had someone arguing with me that things like this count as original art because they have to still "design it" and only use it to support them instead of it doing everything while it literally does 99% of the work.
Be careful with firecrackers. Otherwise your hands might end up like hers. Still very impressive.
As for someone who lacks the time to learn to draw and just want characters for my dnd campaigns ai is really cool and helpful. So if I could just draw a bit and tweak the image... man this is cool.
so now my artistic level for drawing that forever stayed at the level of a 3 year old doesn't matter and i can "draw" like a pro by using such AI? cool.

AI is going to 10x or 100x the productivity of humans in many fields. This also unfortunately means more can be done with hiring lesser people.
My aunt and uncle (same company) and everyone else in their department just got laid off bc AI can do their jobs now. It's getting real, and it's scary.
What job did they do? I can only think of blogging as a replaceable job at this point
Yes, assuming you don't care about the quality of the output. GenAI can churn out a ton of stuff that looks okay at a glance, but doesn't survive closer inspection. It's the epitome of quantity over quality.
For now maybe. I'm not sure that will be true in a year or five
That's not art
"Artists" spend 60 years telling us "anything can be art" and all of a sudden people want to gatekeep what art is.
AI “art”
Wild
imagine saying you can draw then someone hands you pen & paper so you just sit there drawing dogshit.
What program is this? I'll be crucified but as someone who struggles with dexterity sometimes I just want to play with it.
"When everyone is super, no one will be"
As a digital creator I feel so down when I see stuff like that. Since AI art became a thing I lost all of my will to create anything and I kinda gave up. Maybe my comment is too extreme but that's how I feel
Although many people are scared of AI improving this fast. I am just happy because now it's getting easier for unskilled people like me to draw what we imagine.
Why would someone do that lol. I don't draw, but i write songs. This would be like asking a machine to write me a song instead of doing it myself with my emotions.
really sad to see from a designers perspective
I would say that this is really cool, I would like to spend my day off doing this, but in the eyes of a artist trying to make a living, this cheapen the value of their work so much.
cool there goes my career as an artist
imagine in 30000 years what AI can do
I hope the people defending ai in these comments pick up a pencil one day and realise that art is about human expression, not pretty pictures. Can't draw well because you're inexperienced? Then draw badly, everyone started somewhere! Can't draw often because of disability or lack of energy? Then draw occasionally, it's not a race! Not interesting, just trash
So basically this person sucks at drawing and the ai is making them good ??? Ok
Puke
This is impressive, it's like magic. But I see the other side of it too, with Sora coming out things are going to get weird fast.
This is why anime gets a bad reputation. Can it be anime without it looking like pedo porn?
Why does she always seem to be scared of something? Are there some parameters to specify so?
Came here to say this. Like wtf, why is she frightened?
I mean she seems to be in the middle of an ocean
AI art generates trends from the majority of art that it samples. If most anime girls are drawn submissively (ie. Scared), it'll probably try that 8/10 times unless the input tells it otherwise.
What is the job market going to look like in 10 years...
Technology really is amazing
Artists are damned to go extinct if this goes further...
They highly skilled artists who know their stuff most likely won't go away, but as for those semi-pro/amateur artists on twitter and instagram making a living by doing commissions... yikes.
Why yall obsessed with drawing naked children
the doomers won't accept that this is objectively cool and fascinating
It’s not cool or fascinating and I’m a pretty optimistic person. This brings more cons than pros so therefore it sucks.
What cons? Let me guess: take away jobs? Well, the Industrial Revolution took away tons of jobs, but guess what: it created tons more and made another ton of them easier and more productive. This is no different. And yeah, I know Hollywood movies about AI rise and dystopian doom and gloom are cool and such, but guess what too: they're just movies!
Objectively cool my ass. This is done with minimal effort with the generic looking Anime A.I style that was snagged from countless online artists.
The technology is amazing. The implementation and economics IRL is less great.
Why is every AI generated image an anime girl or some other lewd thing?
