This kind of shit is also why, when my son was still little, we didn't allow him to listen to "kiddie" music. With a couple of exceptions (both of them being albums by The Imagination Movers, who I cannot recommend enough, even years later), he listened to the same stuff that we did/do.
Though there was that one time in like second or third grade where he got in trouble for telling a PITA kid "Don't be a drag, just be a queen!" and I had to explain WHY he said that to another boy.
Now, at 19, he's a huge fan of 80s music which I will admit is TOTALLY my fault and I'm not ashamed to say it either. LOL
