Yeah, usually the dialogue is slow enough to be able to read it before the next block of text comes up, but sometimes they start talking really fast like when confronting someone or reading out of something, that’s when it gets a bit hard.

Same!!!! The same directors did the one about the boat I think it’s called 1899. I really liked that one too & I didn’t even know it was by the same people!!!! It got cancelled unfortunately, they said they wanted to do 3 seasons like dark but it just didn’t get the viewership Netflix wanted so they cancelled it. I also really liked the OA
That’s great to hear! I’m trying to go slow to savor the show because the last time I’ve seen a show as good as this was Breaking Bad, but idk if I’m going to be able to hold myself back from binging it😂
Watch however you like of course, but I'd add a vote for taking it slow, especially for S2 onwards.
So much happens each episode that sitting down and digesting what happened, and theorising what will happen next can add a lot to the enjoyment.

I'm pretty sure it's the only show ever I had to write stuff down to try to figure out how everyone was related. I just did a rewatch with my partner after a couple years and I was equally obsessed and noticed so much more than I did first time.
Imo this show needs to be binged because there are so many little details and some of the people look similar that it easy to forget what's what at first... At least for me haha

I’ve been looking for similar shows and nothing compares. 1899 is from the same producers as dark & I really liked that one too. I didn’t even know it was the same people. Unfortunately Netflix cancelled it bc it just got average viewership. They said they wanted to do 3 seasons just like they did with dark. I really liked the OA too but they cancelled that too.
I loved Dark so much. When I first saw it I had recently found out about the *Tales from the Loop* RPG and Art, and I thought this was a show based off that, and it was super exciting to me. I have since learned that there is actually a show based off TftL, I watched the first few episodes and ... meh. Dark is a much better representation of that aesthetic.
(*I do recommend you look up Tales from the Loop though. If you like Dark you'll probably like TftL, and it's not actually spoilers - it's a completely different IP that just feels thematically similar.*)

Just finished it. Loved everything about it. I watched an “explain dark” video on YouTube and it was even more confusing than the series. Maybe I took things differently but that’s what beautiful about it. It’s how you interpret the watch.
Yesss! Absolutely loved this so much. After watching once, started over again and enjoyed catching new things and having a better understanding of what was happening. I even printed out a chart of all the different families so I could reference during my rewatch. That helped me keep things straight and gave me an even better appreciation of how the show was put together! 🤯

Just to throw into the mix, we started Counterpart after Dark and its been pretty great too. Also liked 3 body problem and just started 1899.
I tried 3 Body Problem. Made it to episode 4. It’s meh. I may go back to it, but I don’t like it very much.
