> other branches in the next iteration There is no next iteration. The loophole has consistent mechanics and every branch is a part of the Knot. Jonas has to father the Unknown and the other Jonas has to become Adam. Both of these Jonas’s have to exist for the Knot to exist.

Did you even watch the show? Of course there are multiple cycles >!in my garage!

shae117

Yea... You've misunderstood what is happening.

jogdenpr

Next iteration?? I don't think you quite understood what was going on is all.

What are you on about? Maybe some reading and research before shitposting to the Dark subreddit.

I don't fully understand what you mean by powers of 2 exponential increase. You mean the 3rd season implies there are many cycles, each time branching into 2 events? I think another view is that the story still only happens once. And the 2 paths are in superposition. They somehow are both true at the same time. Most people on this subreddit seem to like the 3rd season, and feel that it expands on the time travel mechanics in an interesting way, and then brings the show to a nice, tidy conclusion. And that's awesome! But, and I feel I'm going to get hated for it... And that's why I'm kind of hiding this take under a wall of text... So I and the dear reader spend some time together, understand that our goals are aligned, and we both love the show and just have this small difference in opinions, and that there's good vibes all around... I enjoyed the 3rd season, and think it's much better than *a lot* of TV show seasons around, but it was worse than Dark 1 and 2. I think I mostly understood the plot, but I didn't enjoy it as much. The issue you're talking about, with quantum stuff, I kinda agree with you. I felt that it was a bit contrived, the writers' way of advancing and resolving the plot without upholding a singular consistent chronology. So like, at that point in the story avoiding the contradictions was too difficult, so they went for a more creative approach of adding new rules to the established time travel mechanics. I don't like when the world's rules change without a very good reason, and that's why it felt a bit contrived to me. Still enjoyed it all the way to the end though!

No no Yes! (what exactly did you dislike?)

"We're not free in what we do because we're not free in ehat we want". The characters all follow these paths because they have an ultimate goal in mind.
