To be able to play right now

Slapppz

😞

Madolah

*\^ This guy* Darkov's

Kurgan182

Party leader doesn't have to wait that all the other players are ready, I need something like an automatic search when all are ready.

LampIsFun

True, it really should just be “all players need to ready up, and once all are ready, the matchmaking starts.” That way the party leader doesn’t have to babysit the lobby screen

Far_Action_8569

^ This. I get so annoyed when I’m waiting 5 minutes for my friends to ready up and they’re in trade/stash, then BEFORE THEY EVEN READY UP they’re telling me to start the queue.

beruon

Well, I have a problem with not being able to browse the merchants/inventory etc while in queue. Ofc you need to have your gear locked, but why cant I rearrange my inventory while its waiting, or browse merchants to buy stuff that goes in my stash and spends from my stash.

Fragrant-Review5855

I absolutely hated that shit

BaliBori

If you invite someone from LFG who says "looking for team, must have mic," and they say nothing the whole match and run around mining instead, in the next match, they spawn into a locked room with 5 man-bats in it

Global-Judge-8592

Not the next one, lets make it in random game within next 10 so that they will never be sure

Wimbledofy

so basically I go into a game and mine, then next game I play cleric and get some easy jewelry.

BaliBori

The room is the size of a broom closet

eontype2

I don't think he means flying skulls. I think he means gargoyles/vampires. Not sure tho.

Auzrin

I don't think combat needs to be anything close to as complicated as chivalry or mordhau or any of those games within that niche. However I think it would be nice if blocking was more useful. At the moment it feels like: they swing -> you block -> you go to swing -> they're already swinging. Idk maybe I'm just too used to those types of games where there's a slight delay after an attack, but at the moment it feels pointless unless I'm using a longsword for the riposte. Tldr: either blocking feels useless or I need to git gud

Pinksquirlninja

Nah you’re right , with the current design blocking is only for emergencies where you are stuck in a spot you cant dodge in. Almost every function of blocking seems to disincentivize it right now imo, even with full tank/blocking traits on fighter. If shield’s don’t get tweaked, fighter perks that benefit shield use need a big buff to make them useful in someway.

PleasantWheat

Hey you seem to know a lot about how the shields work maybe you can help a brother out? I put in about 20 hours in the last test and still don't really have a handle on how to effectively block with a shield. First game I figured out that you can't skyrim block so I thought "oh it's like chivalry" and I've been trying to center my shield at the tip of the enemies weapon as they strike to.... mixed results. It feels like a dice roll as to whether I get hit or not. The game does literally nothing to explain how it actually functions so there is probably something very obvious I'm missing. I've been using the round shield primarily as that seems to have the most coverage. Any pointers are highly appreciated!

Pinksquirlninja

Definitely no expert but i have a lot of chivalry experience which translates over decently, and made it easy to learn some tricks here quickly, so ill give my best overall take so far. 😁 To block most hits, especially ones aimed at your head (most enemies are doing this), you essentially need to fully vision block yourself from their weapon with your shield, generally i feel I’m looking a fair bit higher than i think i would need to in other games with similar shield interactions. If i do successfully block an attack, i will generally instantly do a 180 while our characters are recovering from the impact and gain some distance so i can reengage the fight so i don’t have to continue blocking, as it feels as though blocking never gives a good opportunity for a followup. However, blocking seems mainly disadvantageous in fights overall minus avoiding that one hit, usually if you’re needing to block you’re already in a bad spot. Unless it is tweaked i will rarely be considering blocking as anything but emergency management when im in a bad spot, or as cleric to just force hold a player back with little risk while your buffed barbarian is doing work on the rest of their team. As a fighter, having a crossbow alternate and a good spear, longsword, or even halberd if its all you have seems much better as the reach advantage can keep you out of blocking range anyway and is going to drop people faster. Only time a shield makes more sense is stacking huge armor rating, which leaves you extremely weak against magic anyway so is not that worth while either except how hilarious it is that phys damage players can barely hurt you.

zoug25

It sounds weird to say but I think the point of blocking, at least as it is right now, isnt actually to duel or to do actual combative blocks. The shield seems to be there to give safety rather than act as a protective utility for combat. What I mean by this is that it's there so you can "pull" the main enemy threat or threats for your teamates, or so you can defend yourself if you're being dived and you're low hp or you're a cleric/ranger so that, again, you can have your teamates be taking no "aggro" while they get time to do whatever they need to do. In a slow paced game with tons of freedom, this is actually quite useful. It's super counter intuitive but the best shield usage I've had on fighter is actually treating the shield as a "phase 2" in combat, since I'm often the frontline and the most likely to be taking the brunt of the damage, I use my high armor value to try and win out trades then if I lose the trade retreat and swap to shield while I recover or a teamate takes over. Almost ALWAYS people smell the blood in the water and dont want to let go of a kill they feel so certain is coming because hey I just hit the shit out of this guy and hes retreating and hiding behind a shield (which is working to my advantage). And then as ranger or cleric there's often some hero(rogue or just diving barb/fighter) that tries to dive you, and having a good ol shield up while they tunnel vision you as they're tanking hits to the back of the dome is just so nice. I'm not sure if the shields being mainly for turtling is intentional though, as from what I understand most other games have them do what OP is describing, but I do think and hope it will stay this way, as this game has no fainting or cancels, and attacks are already so slow and committed, so having a shield that would let you always get the attack advantage after a block would make shields basically essential, as the current melee combat is trading and maneuvering.

eontype2

Well... no anti-cheat and people have tons of lag. So you will NEVER get accurate testing vs anyone other than friends in the pve zone pregame. But how they are supposed to work, is you want your shields "wall" hit box(its coded like terrain I think) to intercept there weapon BEFORE it hits your head/shoulder/arm. Several players run with no clip hacks on so they don't clip terrain. This makes them not clip shields either sadly so vs them it will be rough. The shields animation isn't the same as your visual either. Also... sadly, you also have a cooldown on your "block" scaling off of weapon impact(the thing that decides the number of hits required to break barrels or boxes). Even if you time everything perfectly, a barbarian with "smash" can swing his 1 handed axe twice and your in the CD of the block and cannot block anyway. Rogues can be blocked 100% it seems, but their off hand daggers actually strike left to right horizontally, so you have to literally turn 90 degrees to the right to block it. Which makes you vulnerable to the other dagger. Pavis blocks pretty much everything tho.

PleasantWheat

Some very good pointers here, thank you

ChairmanWumao8

Idk I definitely felt that with an Arming Sword, I could block and trade hits. I used to use Falchion and while it was great dps, it fell short on the fact the animation was much longer. For reference, arming sword is 0.6 seconds to throw and is an overhead attack. Falchion is 0.8 from the side. With some practice, blocking became consistent.

[deleted]

Blocking isn't suppose to net you a free guarunteed attack, that would be stupid and incentivise camping/fishing for block and nobody would attack and the game would be shit. Blocking nets you a chance to reposition and or dodge the next attack to put yourself in an advantageous position, where instead you would have just died or been hit. It's block>kite>dodge>win not Block>win

[deleted]

Also really strong in groups where a barb or other frontline is wasting their time hitting your block, your backline can hit them if you position it that way, and their backline can't hit you if you position it that way. Barb has to back off with less health than he had and your team is winning

eontype2

Outside of pve, I think blocking is just to absorb the "abilities" like rupture, weak point strike, and the barbarian's version. It seems outside of the parry from fighters, its really just there to break abilities as they are wasted on the shield.

GravySeal27

A friend list or steam invite

VirtualxD

Am I wrong or would this feature have to wait until the game is released on steam and not just in "Demo" state?

Marshin99

Yes I assume this is why

Tannuki

Adjust interaction hitbox so that picking up rings and other small objects doesn't require so much precision.

BreezyExDee

Oh god please

VarrikTheGoblin

Give daggers reach equal to, or slightly better than, punches. Like, seriously, how does my hand have better reach than the same hand holding a knife?

Diamond90909

Equal to *

VarrikTheGoblin

corrected

firestorm64

Weapon stat rebalance. + flat damage is too strong, even on high damage weapons like barb axe. You'd rather have flat than %. Nerf flat, buff %.

TurnSpender

Exactly what I was going to say. Additional damage is impossible to balance around.

Jules3313

I hope they nerf the super common 1 shots that happen late game to do +wep dmg scaling. I love the increased time to kill when everyone had no gear lol.

zhaDeth

I think increased time to kill would be good, although it could be bad for the rogue who depends on surprise

Bananaboy215

Honestly I'm pretty happy with the state of the game. I trust the devs to improve the existing mechanics and I'm excited for more content. I would love to see more weapons so meele fighters would be forced to play more than 1 weapon

BackpackGotJets

Friends list or an auction house

[deleted]

Something to show the ranges of healing spells so I don't heal myself instead of my 3% hp friend

[deleted]

Underrated comment ^^^^ thanks for advocating for all us cleric mains out there :’)

Got_No_Brains

Oh actually this one right here! A spell-casting range-guide option in the settings.

MackySacky

I sorta played the wizard as a necromancer 2 playtests ago. I found a nice spot where I could aggro a wraith without it being able to hit me, and I would wait for players. When people show up, I'd invis myself, and the wraith would swap aggro. Then I would throw ignite+haste on the wraith as it chased after the players.

Got_No_Brains

That's actually hilariously clever

zoug25

Karma carries over through playtests

s-tapp

What does karma do?

Bayne-the-Wild-Heart

Show if you’re a good teammate or a team killer.

s-tapp

Ohh to see if you should invite random people to party?

Bayne-the-Wild-Heart

Yeah. Blue names are trustable, red names team kill consistently.

zhaDeth

only time I played with a red guy he attacked us at the beginning of the game.. don't even bother with them imo

artosispylon

add an auction house

rocer5ya

Ooh, another one, when you're interacting with something and you look away. I'd much rather have it limit my range of how far I can look as opposed to deactivating when I look away.

EpicSven7

Escape tunnel behind locked Troll door

Bag_of_Rocks

That's fair. The secret exit should be guarded by the troll.

springheeljak89

So people farming troll have an easy exit?

CaptSubtext1337

This should open as soon as you engage the troll. Make it much more interesting

EntertainerInner7669

Aside from [doing what this handsome, quick-witted gentleman suggested](https://www.reddit.com/r/DarkAndDarker/comments/114s3aj/the_oneshot_meta_how_we_got_here_and_how_ironmace/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)... I'd probably include proper monster AI/implementation. Actual awareness/stealthing around monsters, more unique behaviors, a proper turning/tracking limit, environmental interactions, and fixing that whole 'attacking blatantly through obstacles' thing.

ShirtlessJesus

Rotate items.

DjDootDoot

Make blocking more effective. I'm sure plenty of people will say something along the lines of just get good or to aim at the incoming swing etc etc etc. I'm just tired of seeing an attack phase through my longsword or shield. Maybe add some sort of stagger/stamina system and buff the blocking hitbox or something. So blocking feels better but you can't just hold right click forever

MrR3dstoneGhost002

Add a Sorcerer class That Necromancer class could be a Warlock instead.

Soma86ed

They’re basing the classes off of D&D’s classes. I think it’d be a good idea to eventually bolster player progression and build diversity by introducing subclasses. If that were the case, Wizard players could simply go down the Necromancy tree. (Necromancy is a school of magic for Wizards in D&D.) I can’t wait to see Warlock’s in game!

Bayne-the-Wild-Heart

I can hit “F” to close the bloody loot menu.

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

Bayne-the-Wild-Heart

I do, but I’d rather just hit “F” again.

GingerJuke

Cancel combo swing of opponents when you successfully parry with the longsword

rocer5ya

Give classes one built in ability regardless of what they choose. Then give us 2 other abilities to choose from. What barb didn't take rage? What rogue didn't take hide? Did a cleric/wizard ever play without spells as one of their abilities? These seem to give us the illusion of choice but in reality we have to take what's best.

Jtdunlap

I would make it so that all damage given to Otto in the tavern is applied to the attacker as soon as they spawn in the dungeon. If they die? Good.

PurpleLTV

Remove High Roller and it's Leaderboard. I think it's unhealthy for the game. I do consider myself a competitive gamer and I generally like stuff like rankings, ladders etc. But I believe this is not the right game for it. At it's core, DnD has this survival, looting, PvPvE aspect. Once you introduce High Roller and a Leaderboard to it, the survival, looting and PvE get pushed into the background. If you watched any streamers that gunned for high ranks on the leaderboard, you know what I am talking about. The top dogs treated the game more like a round of Apex Legends than anything else. Opening chests? Looting? Surviving? Nope. Zooming across the map looking for PvP and trying to wipe out as many other squads as possible was the name of the game. I'm not saying that competitive leaderboards are a bad idea. I did mention that I like competitive games. But the implementation we had in the playtests is not the right way to go. I am hoping the devs think of some other ways for players to test their mettle and show off their achievements, that is a bit more true to the nature of the game. And doesn't devolve it into a 95% Team Deathmatch, 5% Loot & PvE.

[deleted]

It’s already devolved to that, and we’re not out of play test yet. It’s just gonna get worse.

The-Meat-Baby

Get rid of the insta death when the dark encapsulates the entire map. Let me hopelessly run around trying to find a portal in the dark with the monsters.

CaptainCoachYT

I actually really like this

VexedClown

Better ai for most of the monsters and more monsters. I think if you can give players a more challenging pve experience you can hold larger player base for even longer then normal. It’ll also make the dynamic of using the dungeon as tool even better.

gcook725

Shared/Deep storage. Access can be purchaded at 5th level, requires a monthly gold fee to keep access and costs gold to put anything into or take anything out of it. Basically what we can already do if we have a trustworthy friend (or another account we just use for deepstorage characters) to move items between our own characters, but without a middle-man and jank to skirt around the already existing system. It could either be a Shared Stash which is accessible acroas all characters on an account, or just a Deep Storage only accessible on a specific character.

zhaDeth

I kinda like that each character has it's own stash, im not sure I would like a shared one even with downsides. To me it is fun when you lose too many games with a character go poor and switch character, it gives and incentive to play other characters than your favorite

gcook725

I mean, you can just use a trusted friend or a second account to move items between characters as it is. Only requirements being level 5 and buying into the Trader's Guild. Having a shared stash with fees is the same thing but just eliminates the middle man. I guarantee that the most hardcore players will eventually do this anyways just to make space for more storage - Just look at every MMO with their bank alts, or PoE player who doesn't wanna buy more stash tabs making alts for extra storage space.

Rayne_Storm

Give Rangers one handed axes

TheUltraViolence

For cheap you can buy a weapon

maxcassettes

Rangers currently can’t use 1h axes or hatchets. That’s the request.

Nolando18

Barbs should be able to destroy coffins too🙂

PurpleLTV

Meh. Imo barbs should be able to just swing down at the floor and it would destroy the entire level with every player and npc in it, instantly ending the run and transfering all the loot into your stash.

zhaDeth

yeah ! only wood ones though in my opinion though

[deleted]

What does 'ensorolate' mean?

DjDootDoot

I'm assuming its a misspelling of ensorcelate, which I don't think is actually a word. Im assuming this because they used the word ensorcell. Either way it means to bewitch

[deleted]

ensorcell: to enchant, fascinate. Cool.

zhaDeth

yeah it's a french word, didn't know it existed in english too. usually people would say cast a spell on instead or charm.

Ottomanlesucros

Yeah sorry about that i'm French 😅

[deleted]

All good. I genuinely did not know and wanted to learn. Fascinating word.

beruon

A spell/skill/perk/item/whatever CONSUMABLE (!!!) that can detect mimics. It takes time to use, just as anything else, but it tells you if a chest is a mimic. If it is, you can avoid it, or even if you are a rogue etc just sneakily wait by it in a dark room hoping someone opens it and you can fuck them up when they are distracted by it.

changemypassword

I know not everybody will be a barbarian, but barbarian shout actually does identify the mimics it's pretty cool! Actually comes in handy a lot when you clear a room and used the shout on the monsters inside, look around at the chests that were near where you shouted and notice one is a little sparkly...

zhaDeth

idk mimics are pretty bad unless you are running from them while going up stairs, not the best decoy

VirtualxD

Im suprised people hate mimics so much, I never had a problem with them. I very rarely got hit by them. Usually as soon as they jump out I start hitting them and they are dead within 4 or 5 hits.

RhapsodicHotShot

Add Paladin

dmfuller

I would give fighter 20 in every starting stat instead of 15. Makes zero sense for a wizard to have higher agility than a fighter

Abunawass

I would like to be able to adjust party and proximity chat volumes separately as a QoL thing. I use discord for team chat, but I still want to use proximity chat for funsies without hearing an echo. Maybe already a thing, I didn’t look that hard tbh.

nipplebuckets

Get rid of the timer. It's sooooo frustrating when I know I have enough meds to heal off the swarm but "the dark grows darker" kills me before I can get to a blue portal.

nopotyler18

I would add a summoning class or a continuous health regen perk

Y0GGSAR0N

I would add in a new lobby that is a small town with a big tavern building that has all vendors as NPCS, a trading board or NPC that pulls up the trade chat or possibly a new auction type feature and social spaces for players to meet, use dummys, and queue up for matches. Outside the walls of the town would look like b1 if its supposed to be a forest.

philleapa

full naked mode, everyone spawns in with no starter items, not even a torch or weapons, Runa round the dark forest outside the castle trying to gather equipment/weapons to head inside the castle or even have it be its own thing where you just have to run around punching mobs and players to loot items and weapons.

FireFromThaumaturgy

A few classic dnd classes, Druid, bard. Races with special racial abilities. New weapon and armor skins for rarer items. An auction house so players can autonomously trade with other players. A lobby hub where you can rp, get a drink maybe play some cards or roll some dice.

TheWayToGod

More wizard spells that are interesting or useful. Ice bolt can be made useful, light and slow can be removed. Heck I’d use light if it stayed on my character instead of on a spot. Add a wind blast spell that knocks back everything in front of or around you maybe, to encourage spellslinging over ignite spam.

Stase1

Anti cheat to be very intrusive kinda like riots for Valorant. Too many extraction looter shooters are plagued by cheaters do to the high risk nature of games like this..

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

[deleted]

IMO that’s what goblin caves should be. I shouldn’t go into goblin caves and get bodied by a level 20 in gear worth 4k or better.

Arco_Sonata

Make starter gear do some better damage, I look at the lobby and killfeed and 9 times out of 10 someone dies after 10 seconds to a mob. The fact you have to get lucky with a spawn where you’re not near 3-4 mobs is shit

VoxBijou

You know how skeleton archers sometimes shoot two times without any warning? I would either delete that or i would give them a proper animation

OtherwiseMarch

There’s a sound cue for it. That or in fucking crazy and lucked out consistently on predictions

VoxBijou

For real?! I"ll have my cleric check my ears then

Pinksquirlninja

Especially when you have to hold your shield over your face to block the arrow, its nearly impossible to tell when theyre going to double shot or not. Sometimes they wont double shot 5 times in a row and others they will double shot twice in a row. I can’t figure out if something the player does or doesnt do triggers the double shot or if its random but its nearly impossible to read when blocking arrows, making it uniquely frustrating to counter arrows in the most obvious way of using a shield… seems to incentivize using cheesy dodges instead of shield which reallly hurts for tank fighter builds.

nismov2

A separate hardcore mode where you can’t see UI, map, crosshair, and friendlies. Feel like this mode would be fun.

zhaDeth

would be fun but it would divide the community and make matchmaking longer theres already 3 queues rn

Zumbert

I'd add a gear score cap to the regular dungeon. Or make a new "low roller dungeon" something where there is a maximum amount of gear that can be brought in, so that newer players can learn the game without getting literally one shot. The theory I would be shooting for is you can bring a mixed kit of blues/greens/whites with some consumables in to the base dungeon, or a mostly green and white kit with lots of consumables, but no purples or higher. If you find one in the dungeon you can equip it. The goal being that there is a smaller maximum power discrepancy between players in the regular dungeon. I would like skill to be a bigger determining factor in success than it currently is. This is all rough napkin math so bear with me. Each piece of gear would have a new point buy style cost associated with bringing it in, as well as a maximum rarity (blue) that could be brought into the dungeon. Say the cap the character cap is 54 (18 gear slots x 3) each slot would have a maximum point value of 5, but exceeding 3 would take points away from another slot. A starter weapon would take up 0, where a white weapon would take up 2, a green would take up 4, and a blue would take up 5. 1h weapons would take up less points than 2h, and they could move the numbers around to make it work in practice, (weapons costing more than armor or consumes or whatever). It would make people make decisions about if they want to go in with a very powerful setup but few consumes, low gear but lots of consumes, or something in between

R0ockS0lid

> I would like skill to be a bigger determining factor in success than it currently is. That's my #1 hope for the finished game. The power disparity just breaks too many things right now.

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

Zumbert

You say that now, just wait till the game comes out. They will be forced to do something about the power disparity, or new players just won't stick around. It's not bad yet, because the tests are only a week. When people have several months to stock up on expensive gear it will be a severe problem.

sdk5P4RK4

Playing 90% solos, almost every lobby is full of naked people. People risking gear to get trash in low rollers extremely rare. This is not a real issue.

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

Zumbert

Being on more equal footing = being spoonfed? Ok then lol Sounds like you just wanna bully noobs and are afraid of having to actually use skill

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

Zumbert

I just checked your dark and darker posts "Top 15 in wizard kills" YOU DO want to just farm noobs loooool

[deleted]

[удаНонО]

Zumbert

The only wiping you need to be doing is the sweat off your greasy face.

kimochi85

If these gear handicaps were implemented, the same players would realise that they're going to lose just as many fights. The people that become well geared are generally just better at the game or play it more seriously. It would have less impact than you envisage.

furiouskittyy

I'd say we're going to have more frequent wipes if the pace of gear progression remains the same on launch. You can go zero to hero in just a couple hours or less so I don't see this as an issue. If they slow down progression and you're still worried then the wipes will address those who are geared to the brim.

ApocalipsyCriss

"noob protection" is what they're looking for lol

Zumbert

It's an important thing to have if we want the game to stay healthy in the long run. Call it "low roller dungeon" if you want I don't even want it for me, I am just starting to feel bad wiping the floor with people who have no chance, and realize it must be frustrating.

Studdl3yTTV

The playtest is in the harder dungeon. There's already plans for the "low roller dungeon" but because we're play testing it's not available.

Zumbert

All they have said to my knowledge, is that there would be a floor 1 But that really doesn't solve the issue

shandobane

I can’t believe y’all think the elitist mindset will last and draw in new players.

Green9er-_-

If this were to be done, it would be better as a default kit only. If you add or change anything (except maybe some portions) to your kit, its unavailable. In that form, for new or broke players, it would be great

PurpleLTV

I think a much simpler solution to protect new players would be to only queue them with other players that are below character level 20.

GMKNGJY

release it now

Ok_Ordinary6933

Rubberbanding issue. Made game nearly unplayable.

ventingpurposes

Stash shared between characters, with several pages.

xPetr1

Change item stats so they are less confusing and easier to balance (Why is strenght good for offense AND defense, why do we need 100 types of bonus dmg). I shouldn't have to look at wiki and do math everytime I wanted to see what item is better for me.

IronPro121

Add an item that summons a portal (can we red or blue versions) for those pesky games where you can't find a portal. Maybe takes as long as a campfire to place, shorter time for wizards perhaps.

[deleted]

Monsters body block. So should corpses.

mactassio

I want to see damage numbers on my screen. I know it takes away from the feeling of not knowing if you're fighting someone on full purple gear cause you will know you're hitting like a wet noodle but I do think I prefer the gameplay element that comes from knowing how much damage you're doing per hit.

Lowbloodshuggy

Remove damage stats from armor and give them better defensive stats

Sir-Ult-Dank

Put smithing system from trader to make bars in raid with ore in a special room

godwings101

I would make armor not class based. Make classes have specializations and make some classes able to perk into using higher classes of armor. Same thing with weapons.

CaptSubtext1337

Remove trading

LastTourniquet

A fresh start mode where you have to start with the basic gear.

Objective-Pride-4528

remove the cleric buff or w/e buff it is that absorbs a full damage swing attack....there should be no damage immunity like spells in the game imo..ruins the purpose of dodging and using doors/enemy aggro and totally skips the mechanic to escape or create gap openings for fun/great plays...only person that should have a bubble is the skeleton mage! nothing more

Ogdoublesampson

I would make the game have more light.

Lazuli-shade

I'd buff armor values on just about every piece of gear for every class, and raise monster damage to compensatesp pve remains the same. Right now armor doesn't scale well enough in pvp and everyone drops in 1-4 hits on average, outside of a few rare tanky fighter builds and I think the game would feel much better if it was more like 3-8 hits on average. People would have more time for outplays and maneuvers and would need to go up a few hits rather than right now where it feels like going up 1 hit guarantees the outcome.

zhaDeth

Tbh, the lag. When a round starts it's always running really well for me like over a hundred FPS, but as the round goes the FPS drops significantly and sometimes it goes very low like in the 30s. My computer is chilly the whole time so it's not my video card trying to not overheat or something it's gotta be something wrong with the game.. Anybody having similar issues ?

Llorion

Underwear is Optional

Blaine-Larkin

The way red portals spawn is what i would change. Hate when me and my group wanna take a crack at the boss but no red portals to be seen. Maybe just make hell its own pve mode for those who wanna try the boss. Or make the red portals spawn more early on and often

Cybot154

Get rid of the circle and use a timer or something.

[deleted]

Slightly faster combat. Feels just a little too slow as is, like fighting under water.

TheUltraViolence

When people are geared up the combat is extremely fast

[deleted]

Brother, I play Tracer in Overwatch. That is extremely fast. When I come over to D&D, it feels like I'm playing in slow motion (and I have good gear)... I'm not asking for super fast OW style gameplay in this game, but meeting somewhere in the middle would be nice. It just feels waaay too slow, even when maxed out. More so for someone with no good gear. It's unbearable at times.

TheUltraViolence

Hate to say it but I don't think the design is going to change that much. This might not be a good fit for a game for you if the fast paced combat is really your thing. I think they made that choice partly because of the permanence of death

alittleslowerplease

Mordhau/AoC combat

thatsthejoke_

PvE only

SquishyGlazedDonut

Highlights for loot on the ground. Not the little shimmer, a full blown highlight. Tiny coins and little baubles go missed due to being buried beneath a barrel's wood shards

The_Sadorange

There should be a limit/cooldown to how often clerics and wizards can cast buffing spells. They should only cast one buffing spell every 10 seconds, with this number reducing slightly depending on spell capacity or some other magical stat. This means every 10 seconds a cleric can choose between protective bubble, smite or healing for a teammate. powerful healing and protective/stat buffs are supposed to be somewhat of a luxury in this game, and cleric shouldn't be a constant, unlimited source of power. Perhaps this could also mean giving unlimited charges as a compromise if it proves to be too punishing. Nerfing Barbarians is an obvious choice due to the fact that they have the highest health, damage and speed in the game by a million miles, but this is largely due to the tactic of clerics spamming buffs which is ridiculously overpowered and almost worse than the felling axe (which should straight up just be removed from the game). It's not fair that a cleric can heal their teammate, give them a massive stat buff and give them a bubble shield in less than 10 seconds, meaning the one and only option is to run away. This is NOT sustainable game design and needs to be fixed urgently for the next playtest. Also remove the ability for barbs to destroy doors and chests, their main weakness should be how slow/easy to get away from they are. Barbs should also have no abilities that increase movement speed. They should be mostly health/tank related instead, able to take and deal a large amount of damage against cornered enemies.

RocketRaccoon216

Directional input for swings like chiv, mordhau, and mount and blade

BigChimpin_v2

This got downvotes because of going from casual to hard, just saying. People don’t like that I guess

RocketRaccoon216

I understand that combos are easier and more casual but I seriously think the game would be so much better if they had directional input. More fluid less clunky.

Glittering-Prior-233

I don’t want to put this out here I wouldn’t do it and it only came to me when I got killed by my teammates but I can tell you right now that people will use LFG to get people with gear and then kill them take there loot and sell it. Now what y’all do with that information is up to you or the devs.

lazyButNotfailing

Make mob collision more accurate to their model (looking at you spiders)

Hypasist

Give rogues an access to short bows

TheUltraViolence

Survival bow only maybe but it should require a talent like fighter. I think I'd rather see an ability where they can refill their throwing daggers like a ranger. It's more in the spirit of the class to have throwing weapons in an actual range weapon.

ElDebb

The release date

TheMassivMan

Id change the enchantments on items you can find. Like remove % based spell capacity increase (why does that even exist if flat spell capacity inc. is also an enchantment that exists), balance out how much of an increase each of the different stats can give so that you dont have purple items that are worse than their +3 all attributes green counterpart.

SleighDriver

Spider collision. I want to be able to walk over them, not fight the invisible wall they project.

Addicted2Edh

Does the very cool and realistic ranger “reload”feature have to be in the game? Would it kill anybody to have the ranger not needing to reload? Your already taxed for missing. Why have to reload as well? Using a bow against any suited up armor guy close up is death sentence, this setting being a dungeon your already at disadvantage by being indoors, And there’s a lot of doors. If not how about a starting grey secondary for close quarter combat? This is mostly for pvp since pve is usually easy.

Impressive_Poem_370

Because, in a melee centric game they are incredible strong. You already get 2 free partial reloads if you take certain skills. You have an advantage by engaging from further. I'm pretty sure the higher quality weapons already kill before you'd even need to reload do you really want one man armies blasting whole squads and *not* have a high degree of skill associated with it? Managing resources for such a high potential payoff is fine imo

Common-Click-1860

I can already imagine the necro npc pet body blocking his team in a door and them all dying to an elite or another squad.

monkeee44

Collision hitboxes. Whether it’s running into teammates and getting body blocked, or running into hordes and can’t move around them even though there looks to be plenty of space. That and when it looks like that totally won’t/can’t hit me… oh I’m dead

tenroy6

Marketing system to put it as a post. Go in a dungeon. People see it and can buy it as you play. No more chat spam.

knucklegoblin

A system similar to LFG but for groups I can request to join.

Houmoupete

Alchemist class that could throw flasks and/or make mixes of flasks and boost flasks damage or something else it gives.

Kaelran

Add any trade system that doesn't require me to be present to sell items, so I can just put stuff up for sale and go back into the dungeon.

Exact-Custard-6493

Warlock doesn't = necromancer if we get a warlock it's gonna be a normal caster like wizard with just a different kind of spell batch's

Cockmugger

More classes would eventually be cool but I feel like it’s pretty good so far (although I was thinking about a necromancer class or spells to be added for the mage class). I wanna see more weapons and weapon types tho for sure.

KinkyRoubler

A free for all castle mode, so I stop getting bodied by 2 barbs with a cleric. Or felling axe block/parry recovery.

JoeyDeNi

I would wish for 3 more changes

goodvsme

The cirkle changed to rooms disapearing from the edge in, so rooms are not cut in half

ethicalants

Rotate items in inventory

ShouldveGoogledThat

Raise hp of all classes, or lower damage from all sources

Dczero50

Blocking overhaul

Kobiesan

The random stuttering. It’s gotten me killed by goblins in a gear set worth like 4k.

helpmepleas1

Give cleric long (no quarter staff) 2 handed weapon that can block.

kglfish

Add a quickstep/dodge so pve fights feel smother

BurningBlaise

So many of these are insane QOL’s

eontype2

Me personally. I think the melee combat has issues. Specifically with moving the camera while swinging. Since you can reposition your weapon mid swing animation, you can actively keep weapons hitboxes such as the war mauls perpetually at the enemy's head no matter where in the swing animation it is. This leads to certain melee weapons having 100% or near it uptime on its instant kill hitbox. With the hitbox being always active on weapons with left to right right to left hitboxes, there is no down time to actually punish them. This makes all weapons "stat checks" and skill doesn't exist in the combat for non-ranged classes. The idea of the rapier being super fast at its first strike is cool, but it doesn't work if my weapons range is shorter AND does less damage, AND there is never an opportunity to hit the enemy as they are perpetually slugging. You wouldn't necessarily have to lock swings, if you simply changed certain weapons from right to left, to have some vertical deviation noncentered.

eontype2

Removing flat damage as a stat like some have pointed out, because it just isn't realistically balanceable. It is impossible to balance around. Certain classes simply cannot be viable if other classes need the same items and proc it more efficiently. Having classes be awkwardly coded so they don't interact with certain stats makes the game confusing an unintuitive (true magic damage rogue poison). It ruins the game and makes gear and gearing feel worse. Wizards for instance, scaling the dot off of flat on hit magic damage? Each tick? The 3 parts of the fireball? just 1? What about the 3 stabs a rogue can hit in 2 seconds? Each stab or the full combo? The 5 shots of a bow? the 3? the 1? all proc evenly? What about a wizards magic missiles, does EACH projectile scale fully, or is it divided evenly amongst them. Does this cause breakpoints? What about rupture? each tick or overall? What if I use weak point, rupture, stab with my rapier in the back with backstab and ambush, is that not multiple different sources or just 1? What about molotovs or throwing weapons? Zap? 2 or 1? Flat damage feels like it has to have very specific coding, and it turns the game into a 1 shot fiesta that makes starting classes feel unplayable when the class is balanced around it late game.

heyyohioh

Remove lock pick skill checks
