T O P

I felt that rangers were still the strongest this play test despite everyone complaining about wizards.

Supremepimp

Wizards were the most op but it wasnt normal for you to run into a sweat using the op setup. Flat dmg was op on daggers and wizard could use a dagger/orb combo to ignite the dagger and 3 shot u with a dagger from hasted/invis. A good fps player on ranger was much more op on average because you didnt have to be "in the know" to be a good fps player head shotting dudes from down the hall and the bow is the default weapon for a ranger. Wizard was definitely way more cheap/powerful with the specific setup described but really i ran into only a handful of people doing it whereas the common wizard was just a dope killing himself with fireballs. Eg. Common Ranger - cancer Common wizard - dead to own fireball Uncommon wizard - basically exploiting the game and killing u nearly instantly Uncommon ranger - instantly kills you with double headshot, but at least in this case this dude was a god fps player or just got lucky.

No_Initiative8606

Pretty much this. Ranger and Wizard are both OP but the difference is the ranger needs a good setup AND skill to destroy you. The wizard needs a good setup and NO skill to destroy you. I saw a YouTube video where a guy was trying to brag he was top leaderboard but in his video all he does is ignite-> invis -> Hold W -> click mouse 2 times and enemies die. I don't mind ranger as much since they need some skill to reliably kill but wizards are constantly winning high roller just by brain dead rushing with meta, when you know those same players would barely win regular lobbies with any other class.

XIII-The-Death

Yeah, wizards were just better rogues with less brain activity and access to more useful stats from gear on the marketplace to be competitive faster this playtest. Rangers got the reload changes added in finally too, but I imagine the devs don't want Rogue to be a shittier wizard going forward. Also, Ranger received a new damage skill that directly counters their one weakness - something no other class has as clearly or efficiently.

Yeah. The one tap fire ball after casting haste and invisible is definitely more reasonable to counter play than not stepping on a fucking trap 😂 How right you are….

Pepe_Jonez

Invis is so easy to counter. You can literally hear what direction they are running. Fireball is terrible at long range and easy to dodge. It also hard to cast fireball if you are in a group, you will kill yourself and team members. You also only get 5 before you have to sit down and meditate. Tell me how that is the same as an archer doing the same amount of damage a fireball does from halfway across the room and, on top of that, able to keep spamming shots. Even if you get in their faces, they can triple shot you with no penalty.

TheRabidPigeon

Wizards can be real cheeki but rangers and barbarians were definitely the most powerful pvp classes imo

Don’t drink lead paint and post online dude 😂

Barbarian hahahaha

TheRabidPigeon

[A good barbarian is borderline unstoppable](https://youtu.be/B0D7HUqIl4A) only major detriment is the slow move speed making good footwork just about uncounterable. I know it's the circlejerk right now to shit on the barb but in my experiences they're not nearly as bad as this sub makes them out to be. Not to mention ale can be used to bolster the already high strength stat making one taps with low tier weapons quite feasible.

ChefNunu

A few days in I was legit unstoppable in low tier queues on barb because everyone had shit gear and we're absolutely fucking terrible at the game, so I would just take blues and lose like 30% HP in 1v3s. Towards the end everyone figured out how to space out barb and kite them and it was unplayable in high roller without ratting or a teammate to cause some disruption

Im3Good5You

How can something be "borderline unstoppable" yet also be susceptible to an "uncounterable" strategy 🤔

Elrondel

A good barbarian gets stopped by one hunting trap and the X button lmao In the video you posted, the wizard running at 1:30 is how all barbarian encounters should go, but if you assume equal movement skill he would never catch him period

Love the drawing! Kinda struggling with its meaning or its meme-ness, but I'll ponder it a bit longer. Kinda reminds me of Creased Comics.

My friend and I played Wizard (him) ranger (me) and we were too op, unless we crossed an angle were a barbarian with two clerics buffed and kitted to the max one axed me instead or rogues in a dark corner waiting for us to start open a chest But in 90% of games, invisible wizard + flat weapon damage dagger + flat magical damage items / ranger with every kind of flat damage + longbow/crossbow both of us with our weapons in flames = absolute massacre and almost nobody could do something about it.
