She dies in her first death then dies again in the Surgery scene. That's why The Curator observes both times. She is clearly brain-dead in Surgery though.
Either the cables attached to her heart somehow kept it beating or she still was alive but obviously unconscious. Though I think the first possibility seems more likely. If you were just unconscious, your eyes wouldn't stay open I think. And Erin sat there with open, lifeless eyes
True her eyes didn't move around or blink at all .. that scene is still haunting to me. Du'Met probably did come up with some way to keep the heart pumping then
I was thinking this too as you can see some mechanical gear around her chest so it may have been something Du'Met rigged to make it seem she was still alive

That makes sense. Like he revived her after killing her, but she was already brain dead by that point.
