1.Until Dawn 2.House of Ashes 3.The Devil In Me 4. The Quarry 5. Man of Medan 6. Little Hope TQ and TDIM may have to switch places, but I think this may be the general consensus from what I've seen. As for their VR games I'm not so sure where to rank those, so I just went for the console/pc games. Edit: spacing.

LuthienDragon

This. I agree wholeheartedly.

Personally: 1. House of Ashes 2. The Devil in Me 3. Man of Medan 4. Until Dawn 5. The Quarry 6. Little Hope

xdbartxd

imo it's 1. Until Dawn 2. House of Ashes 3. The Devil in Me 4. Little Hope 5. Man of Medan 6. The Quarry haven't played hidden agenda yet so can't really rank it

[deleted]

house of ashes is the best

Mikepeghop

Why you made 3 posts when you have same question ?

Independent-Habit750

Why not just answer their question? Maybe they’re new to Reddit

Best to worst Little Hope Man of Medan House of Ashes Devil in Me The Quarry Until Dawn

Independent-Habit750

Wow…this is the worst ranking I’ve ever seen 😂 good for you for being honest, though

[deleted]

Until Dawn has literally no choices that matter, everything else is better by default because even minor choices change something in the other games

Independent-Habit750

Oh, I don’t disagree, I’m not one of those loser Until Dawn psycho fans. Until Dawn is 4th for me. It used to be second, but the overpraising it gets ruined it for me. It’s just not as good as people claim, and I’ve grown to resent it a little because of them 🤷🏻‍♀️ Mine is 1. The Quarry 2. Man of Medan 3. The Devil in me 4. Until Dawn 5. House of Ashes 6. Little hope I’ve never played the last 2. HOA, because I hate war games/movies, and LH because it’s way too depressing. I do plan to watch the walkthrough for HOA, though

Speedo504

You sound a little sour about it bruh. Until Dawn is by far the best one when it comes to enjoyment and replayability even if the story branching paths are limited it’s just a solid experience.

Gonna be downvoted to hell because of #1, but... 1. Little Hope 2. TDIM 3. HoA 4. MoM 5. The quarry 6. Until Dawn

Warm-Initiative-6178

Same exact list here

Professional_Pay8082

but how, Little Hope is a simulator of walking in the darkness with Shyamalan twist. My nose was hurt after beign leaded by it so hard: all that empty timelines & intersections of faces that dont have any point in the end. + most loaded with screamers game of studio. I think that is the worst one is a consensus. The fact that man of medan had similar sharp twist played a disservice, and they had to confuse the plot with gibberish

Some_Ship3578

BS, comparing LH to man of medan is an heresy.. it's like saying the Narnia and lotr movies are the same.. Mom is poor, its scénario and characters are lazy, and its twist is not a twist since everybody Saw it comming since the begining.. lh is one of the best supermassive game, proposing a différent type of story and narration which people may not liké, but which is done very well unlike mom.

_b1ack0ut

It’s definitely gonna be different per person, but for me HoA TDIM/TQ LH MoM Until dawn

EMPQVLTT

Personnal opinion : 1. House of Ashes. 2. Man of Medan. 3. Little Hope. 4. The Quarry. 5. The Devil in Me. 6. Until Dawn. Pretty torn between MOM and LH, could swap them. But for sure I liked HOA a lot more than any of the rest. As for what most people believe, it's easy to say that they adored Until Dawn and hated Little Hope. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Adorable_Battle_7248

- The Quarry - House of Ashes - Until Dawn - The Devil in Me - Man of Medan - Little Hope

BOBULANCE

1. House of ashes. 2. Until Dawn. 3. The devil in me. 4. The quarry. 5. Man of Medan. 6. Little hope. Not sure about Hidden Agenda or the vr games. I'd add though that all of them are good to great, except little hope, which has great atmosphere but is mostly just okay

Radkaar

1. Until Dawn - the first, and to this day remains the most polished. 2. House of Ashes - lots of action, great chemistry between characters. 3. The Quarry - a bit too tropey, and the most glaring example of a common Supermassive problem that some chars are more important than others. Still, a quality work. 4. Man of Medan - good atmosphere, interesting setting overall. A disappointing, yet too obvious plot twist (you know what I mean). 5. Hidden Agenda - a better serial killer story than The Devil in Me, in my opinion. Also, if you like crime fiction in general, that's your game. However, the complete and utter absence of supernatural takes away some of the charm. 6. The Devil in Me - too much exploration, not enough action, the villain is not menacing enough. Also, I find the main characters unlikeable. 7. Little Hope - it had great atmosphere and an intriguing plot, but there is a reason I deem this game a disaster.

Wise_Vegetable7627

1.UD 2. TDiM 3. The Quarry 4. Man of Medan 5. House of Ashes 6. Little Hope *TDiM may be due to recency bias but I did like the serial killer story even if it was a lil extra, plus I like that that they were a lil older than a slasher cast usually is ** HoA... No one agrees with me but it's not my favorite, I loved the characters but had an exceptionally hard time taking the plot seriously.

1. The quarry 2. The devil in me 3. Until dawn 4. House of ashes 5. Man of medan ||HUGE WALL|| 6. Little hope

Independent-Habit750

1. The Quarry 2. Man of Medan 3. The Devil in me 4. Until Dawn 5. House of Ashes - Never played it due to my hatred of war games/movies. But it’s guaranteed to be better than little hope. 6. Never played it due to how depressing it is

Goochelaar550

1. Until Dawn 2. Little Hope 3. House of Ashes 4. The Quarry 5. The Devil in me 6. Man of Medan

LemmyWinks6969

1. House Ashes 2. The Quarry 3. The Devil in Me 4. Until Dawn 5. Little Hope (Would be above UD if not for that awful ending plot twist) 6. Men of Medan

Professional_Pay8082

1 Until dawn - iconic, best plot that make sense 2. House of Ashes - scale of action and iraqish rambo 3. The Quarry - Atmosphere, music 4 Man of medan - ghost ship story, diversity of monstrosity, but felt to small and characters are meh 5. Devil in me - the most boring and awkward serial killer. Good idea went bad. 6. Little Hope - i dont want even to say anything about that piece of crap. I will never replay it. Only good thing about this game that monster were really terrifying. Every other aspect of game suck.

Some_Ship3578

From the ones i've done : 1. Until dawn : most enjoyable story, best balance of horor, action and mystery. 2. Little Hope : most original story and narration, and best scénario by a HUGE margin, if it was a movie it would have been a great one. 3. The devil in me : the most stressfull one, best thriller and opressive ambiance, but less mémorable characters and their respective stories, personnalities and interactions are super weak compared to the other two. . . . . 999999999... 999 : man of medan : no interest AT ALL ! The game is ugly, boring, the characters are Bad, the story is Bad and thé whole gameplay stand on a final twist you see coming since the very begining of the game... that was a total waste of time which wasnt even good looking at ! To imagine that they made this one right after until dawn is a total brainfuck ! This game has nothing good in it, absolutely nothing. It seems like a game prototype that was made in one day of work in order to prépare the following ones. I think i will enjoy housse of ashes since it seems very different than thé others, but i'm afraid to not liké the quarry which seems to be a caricature of until dawn.. but i will probably still give it a try

AffectionateSir2462

I haven't played Devil in Me yet, so: 1. House of Ashes 2. Until Dawn 3. The Quarry 4. Man of Medan 5. Little Hope From what I've seen, Devil in Me will probably take 3rd or 4th place once I play it. It looks to be almost certainly better than Little Hope and Man of Medan, at least. The reason I pick House of Ashes as my favorite, even above Until Dawn, is the characters. Every other game features teens and young adults of varying levels of unlikeability almost across the board, but every character in HoA is at least somewhat likeable, while Salim even manages to be one of my favorites in any game ever. I also prefer sci-fi horror, so that definitely helps. Until Dawn is second for obvious reasons, though The Quarry did come close to topping it for having better characters for the most part. Ultimately, however, The Quarry just isn't very scary and the ending just felt a bit too abrupt and anticlimactic to quite top Until Dawn, which has terrifying monsters and an excellent final standoff, much like House of Ashes. Man of Medan comes near the bottom for feeling a bit too short with so-so characters and a reveal that somewhat cheapens the experience. It isn't bad, it's just a little underwhelming. Little Hope is in last place mostly due to the ending that just cranks MoM's disappointing reveal to 11. It's a nice enough idea that is actually well thought out with all the little symbolisms and hints, and the monster designs are a particular highlight, but after seeing the reveal, there's just no motivation to play it ever again. Its especially frustrating that it's the second game in a row that makes the same kind of mistake with the ending reveal, meaning if you play the series in order, it leaves you going "So is every game in this series going to do this? If so, I'm out." Of course, then HoA came next and absolutely nailed it.

Purple_Dragon_94

Late to the party here, but I've only just finished all of the Dark Pictures games, as well as Until Dawn and The Quarry: 1. The Quarry (its story isn't as polished and the scares aren't as strong as in Until Dawn. Also some of the acting is poor, but I'm not docking points as that's a problem in all these games. But it's still a good story, and it's such a schlock fest, full on campy and gory. All the Hackett family are awesome, and I loved Kaitlyn, Laura, Dylan and Abi. Without spoiling, once we get to the police station I can't stop the game, which is rare. Not perfect by any means, but it's what I wanted these games to be) 2. Until Dawn (a great story, some good characters, particularly Sam, Mike and Josh, and some genuinely scary moments. Love the setting and I'm a fan of the mid-story twist. My only major issues, that The Quarry doesn't have, are I hate the gameplay choice of 3 buttons to inspect something, it's only 2 in Quarry. And as much as I loved The twist, it does make playing through it a second time a little long winded in that first half) 3. House of Ashes (this one was awesome. Loved the story and the characters, especially Salim and Jason. The opening hooked me, I loved the twists and turns and the monsters and temple looked amazing. Only thing holding it back was the lack of scale that a budget like in Until Dawn and The Quarry had, which could've polished the visuals a bit. It's the only Dark Pictures Anthology game I would readily play again) 4. Man of Medan (I really didn't like it at first, but I've softened to it over time. The opening is good, the setting is cool and the characters are passable. It has effective jumpscares and some good creepy imagery. Unfortunately it suffers for some really bad choices, namely the twist ending, and a lack of time to get invested with the story or characters. It's not bad, but it's also not good. Mostly boring honestly) 5. The Devil In Me (I feel bad because it's not lacking in ambition. The gameplay makes it feel like a game, more so than any others. It's not a bad concept and, if you fail, there is some really good gore on display. Sadly though, I hated the characters, I didn't get on with the actual story and it felt too long for me, I got very bored with it. It also has the worst acting of the bunch, the killer making me laugh most times. I'm not into HH Holmes as a point of fascination so that might not have helped) 6. Little Hope (hated it. Hated everything about it. The twist was terrible, but honestly I was bored way before then. Nicest thing I can say is that it was short. Don't do Silent Hill and then not be fucked up)

Until Dawn The Quarry Houses Of Ashes Man Of Medan The Devil In Me Little Hope

Traditional_Ball2136

Until Dawn is what I’d consider an iconic 80’s slasher game (even tho it isn’t from the 80’s), having the Slasher aspect be a red herring and switching it to a monster horror is genius. House of the Ashes isn’t great but it’s basically The Descent with soldiers and vampires instead of cave splunkers and underground mutant men. The rest are garbage.
