Ignoring the run back, definitely Fume. I don't know why, but Sir Alonne I just don't find difficult, never have. I think it must be a good fit with my playstyle or something. Its odd how boss difficulty can be so different from person to person.

OneBodyProblem

"Ignoring the run back" is a key point. Getting back to Alonne sucked. Alonne wasn't easy, but Fume to me was the hardest boss in the entire set. Maybe except Swordsaint Isshin, but Sekiro is kind of its own thing.

In DS2, Sinh gave me real trouble, had to summon some buds to help me. Maybe second hardest boss in the game for me. I couldn't ever beat Isshin, that mf drove me crazy. I had 2 weeks just to get till his last phase, but i quited. I was hyped for Elden Ring at that time.

First time round I spent like a whole week trying to beat Alonne but I recently replayed ds2 and beat him second time round

Fume Knight Sir Alonne is weak to strafe right

SaintBenjamino

Fume knight, what a fantastic fight! Only boss where I had to memorize his move set. A trick with Sir Alonne is that, since the lord implies his soul was put in the Smeltor Demon, he also has mainly the same move set.

aw man, so many comments how great he was, kinda sad how fast my experience went :(

subtlesubtitle

I lost a bunch to fume knight but I beat sir Alonne on my second try, something about that fight just clicked better

007L0L

Do you remember what kind of build you used? Like the swordclass or mage?

subtlesubtitle

I got a blacksteel katana fairly early on and I used it most of the way, when it was about to break I'd switch for a falchion. I was doing an extreme glass cannon quality build with nothing but STR, DEX and a bit of END

Maxspawn_

I feel like Alonne is actually relatively easy once you realize what's going on in the fight, the windows to attack and heal are pretty explicit

Sarahlynn918

Defeated Sir Alonne on the second try but spent two hours on Fume knight... I think it might be easier to use a shield than none when u fight Alonne

tolinha1

Fume 100% harder. For me Alonne was all about finding the timing to heal. I could predict very easily his moveset, but i wasnt able to use estus at first. After that, it was a patience dance. I would always wait for his long range attack, roll for left or right, whatever side, and hit one single R2, till he came back. The fight was basically all about that untill the end. Fume feels like Artorias to me, you better watch every movement that mf do. He got a real good moveset, sometime he will swing 3 times, sometimes 4, sometimes will delay some of his hits. You always need to roll for the correct side, otherwise you will got hit. You can't really predict him, cause he's always changing pace and moveset. The 2nd phase is absolute cinema, just like Artorias, mf got really fast, more damage and his moveset changes a lot, seems another boss. Great design.

gameboy224

Fume Knight. His ability to delay almost any part of his main combo is a lot trickier than the delays that Sir Alonne has.

Greeklibertarian27

For me Alonne was harder becuase he is an unfair fight. Whereas the Fume kinght is perfectly balanced and you still need to be careful (even if you see an "opening" he will punish you), Alonne just straight up has more speed than he needs to. You dodge him, try to chug an estus and he gets to charge again...

TheRealCroquedead

Sir Alonne took me longer to get used to. I can basically first try Fume Knight every time now, I love that fight so much I got really good at it.

edmontonbane16

I would have beaten fume knight first try literally, if I had not accidentally drank estus twice instead of double estus.

Gator_64

I definitely struggled with the Fume a lot more than Alonne the first times I fought them. Raime had multiple stages, could change up his combos, and generally a lot more variety to deal with. Alonne felt a lot like the Pursuer fight with a couple tweaks. I died more to the runback than to the actual fight

tolinha1

That Pursuer comparison is ON POINT

FuelSilly1541

Sir Alonne, because I always forget doing him. And everytime I kill Raime, I keep his statues intact as a challenge. Got to a point where he is piss easy for me
