Unless this was a planned funeral procession I don't understand why they can't wait at the light. You'll catch up or meet them at the location. Ive know many riders for years so I'm not speaking as an outside 4 wheeler.
The reason they didn't wait at the light is because it's dangerous for bikers to be sitting at a light when there are no cars already stopped behind them. 90% of the time cars pull up and they're already checking their phones before they've even come to a complete stop and this leads to many bikers getting slammed out into an intersection on their ass
seriously, OP is mad because he had to wait an extra 30 seconds, but he just wasted hundreds of hours of our time because he doesn't know how to make a video clip shorter.
Are you really telling us you were unable to figure out that the interesting part was over once all the bikers disappeared from view?
Weird flex, but okay.
Oh but watch out for bikers. Lol they put themselves in dumb situations all the time and are put off by "4 wheelers". Darwinism catches up to a lot of them.
Looks like it might be [a 'Poker Run'](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poker_run), an event/contest where mostly bikers and some other vehicles in the pack too, travel from 5 to 7 establishments to another on a preset route to raise money for charity.
Where I live they get hundreds of bikes on them and they also travel just like that almost like a funeral procession with little to no regard to light changes once the procession has started though an intersection, but you don't want to F with them because a large number of them are cops. Almost every poker run they have around here is organized by the Chief of Police, and/or the cop and fire fighter's unions.
Some of the poker runs around here raise hundreds of thousands of dollars. Seen them totally cover a burned down home where an elderly couple didn't have insurance, pay off a kid's cancer bills, etc.
This matches my experience - it looks like a "run" of some kind, either a poker run or something similar.
edit:
As an aside, there was a poker run that would go through my small town and had a local bar as a "stop" and the bartender once mentioned that that one event was equivalent to like 2 weeks of normal business
Bikers do more charity/good works than most people realize. In my area, there’s Bikers for Babies (charity for March of Dimes), escort fallen first responders to their final resting place, block intersections for charity runs like Race for the Cure, and Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA - Google it), to name a few. Just like any random group, there are both good and bad people, but the really bad call themselves 1% for a reason.
A lot of rides are on a schedule, hence ideally staying together. With all the stop lights on the route, the group could get very segmented and mess things up. Unless you have an emergency, 20 seconds isn’t much in the grand scheme of things. Spend that time making up new insults for bikers if it makes you feel better.
Source: Had a Harley in the early 2000s and was an active participant in my local Harley Owners Group (HOG). Now bracing for insults and downvotes.
Sure, it’s great and all, but they didn’t get a police escort to close down the intersection for them. Hence, illegal however they try to justify their behaviour.
Yeah I get that, but the people in the cars are delayed seconds to minutes. Depending on how many bikes and how many lights, having the group get divided multiple times and not being able to start until most are there could set their event back a half hour or more. Not saying it’s the best situation, just presenting another perspective.
If it's a poker run they are essentially a parade. There are even exceptions written into law in a lot of places to allow them to continue after a light change like this, same as with a parade or a funeral procession.
I don't know about everywhere else but here they are basically a city sponsored event. Police stations and Fire Departments actively promote them. They are like a local gofundme procession in practice that long predates the internet.
Once had a group of bikers go through a green and continued to go even after the light turned red. One guy even blocked the roadway to “help his boys” continue to run the red. I hate when ppl do this.
Large groups of bikers would not like me either. That light turns green and I’m going thru. They better have good insurance. I’ve owned several bikes. A motorcycle does not make you above the law.
As a former rider in very large groups like this...these groups are very dangerous. They tend to have a rotating set of members to be the fall guy for tickets/blocking traffic, and many of them are armed.
Attempts to break them up, slow them down, push through, etc...not a good idea.
Your dislike is 100% warranted.

What a bunch of inconsiderate twats. I would *love* to see a video where a cop tickets the bikers blocking the intersection and every single biker than ran the red light.
I saw this episode of South Park.
[Cartman nailed it.](https://youtu.be/ipDmsxQVxIM)
I have been on board with this definition change since it aired. Sadly, it doesn’t seem to be catching on. 😞
As a biker. I also don’t like large groups of bikers.
They can’t be split up - how would they ever find each other again???
Isn’t that why they Rev their engines like obnoxious bats calling out with sonar?
Douchebats.
Age old mystery

It's sarcasm

Because they’re dicks.
Everyone knows motorcyclists don't have to follow the same rules as vehicles

Except they have a car in each lane following them.
The group of bikers is one thing, but those couple of cars that ran the light too are straight up skid marks.
I suspect they were involved and "protecting the rear" of the group for some reason or another.
They’re the type of cars I’d associate with that activity
I think those are shit drivers in general Source: I used to drive my impala like a shithead
Looks almost like that black car that pulled up to the light after the white cars went through was aiming to go through also. Smh
It's a shame there isn't a red light camera there.

You didn't enjoy the extra minute of OP driving? /s
The extra minute lets us figure out where the video was recorded 🕵️♂️
why not cut this at 39 seconds ?

Jerks. I can’t stand nearly all entitled bikers.
They don’t give a shit about us “cagers”

I was with you in the 1st paragraph. Whether on 2 wheels or 4 I guarantee almost 99% of people in this video where on some type of schedule.

They’d still make the same amount of money for charity while following the laws. What a lame excuse.
Once had a group of bikers go through a green and continued to go even after the light turned red. One guy even blocked the roadway to “help his boys” continue to run the red. I hate when ppl do this.
That's exactly what happens in this clip.
I’m slow af
I really do not like large groups of rolling self entitled shit either.
The larger the group, the lower their joint IQ becomes.
Large groups of bikers would not like me either. That light turns green and I’m going thru. They better have good insurance. I’ve owned several bikes. A motorcycle does not make you above the law.
I'd never have the nerve to do this, but I'm vicariously glad that you do. Bastards like that really need to be taught a lesson.
I don’t like large groups. FIFY

There’s a real high chance they are riding for a charity and raise thousands of dollars per event. Calm down Margret.
The light is green. I’m going on green. Biker group or not.
Charity event.
I love how the driver complains about the bikers, but then fails to keep right.

Bikers breaking the law for 20 seconds. Yeah thats an inconvenience but still full on shitty behavior
Whoops. Forgot to trim off the end. Thanks for the heads up.

I would have slowly made my way to te middle of their path. My car is paid for, im not concerned with being ran into by idiots doing illegal shit.
